I can't say I'm convinced, but I CAN say it wouldn't surprise me if that was all a re-election scam of his.

I think he actually got it...his behavior was begging for it and he got what he wanted...he is lucky he was POTUS and was afforded an elite level of care that maybe nobody else in the world had access to. (and by the way, as much as I cant stand Trump I always thought he was entitled to and should have received every bit of medicine and expertise that could be administered to protect POTUS...even if his irresponsible behavior basically put out the welcome mat to his immune system...)

Yes that's right. The vaccine distribution plan was called Operation Warpspeed, it was even praised by Biden.

"President-elect Joe Biden finally offered some words of praise for President Trump’s record-breaking Operation Warp Speed. Better late than never, we guess.

After getting his own jab Monday, Biden acknowledged the Trump administration’s hard work on vaccine development, specifically crediting Operation Warp Speed with “getting this off the ground.”

    https://nypost.com/2020/12/22/biden-finally-praises-operation-warp-speed/

I was wondering if the poster could explain what happened to 20 million Americans vaccinated by NYE?  and by the way...Shocking.....even the New York Post was acknowledging before Christmas that Biden was "Prez To Be" and that Dear EX President had lost the election...such treacherous rhetoric and I for one am shocked this poster would subject us with left wing propaganda during these "tender times".

Trump administration had no coronavirus vaccine distribution plan - White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - There was no distribution plan for the coronavirus vaccine set up by the Trump administration as the virus raged in its last months in office, new President Joe Biden's chief of staff, Ron Klain, said on Sunday.

"The process to distribute the vaccine, particularly outside of nursing homes and hospitals out into the community as a whole, did not really exist when we came into the White House," Klain said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Biden, a Democrat who took over from Republican President Donald Trump on Wednesday, has promised a fierce fight against the pandemic that killed 400,000 people in the United States under Trump’s watch.

He signed a series of executive orders last week, including some that target vaccine distribution.

Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator under President Donald Trump, told CBS's Face the Nation that Trump was given 'parallel data streams' from another source on the COVID-19 pandemic and that Trump presented graphs she never made. This report produced by Yahaira Jacquez.

Biden plans to partner with state and local governments to establish vaccination spots in conference centers, stadiums and gymnasiums. The new administration will also deploy thousands of clinical staff from federal agencies, military medical personnel and pharmacy chains to increase vaccinations, and make teachers and grocery clerks eligible.

Vaccination programs lagged far behind the Trump administration's target of 20 million Americans inoculated by the end of 2020.

"We've seen this factor all over the country where millions of doses have been distributed, but only about half have been given out," Klain said.

"So the process of getting that vaccine into arms - that's the hard process. That's where we're behind as a country.

That's where we're focused in the Biden administration - on getting that ramped up."

the rules for impeachment are in place and have been for a long time....he has been impeached, he needs to go to trial. If anything he will be made an example of for President's of the future that try to take the course of action Trump decided to take.

And as far as the people not being "allowed" to vote for him again, Trump did this to his supporters, not congress. Trump is the one that is responsible for his actions and if he was any type of politician he would have known what would happen to him if he decided to invite his supporters to a pregame pep talk to fire them up and then direct them to go to the Capital.....to basically attack the government...and how hypocritical would it be for Donald Trump...the King of Political Theatre...of all people...to not be subjected to the bright lights of a conviction and banning of public office.

And by the way, if Trump does get convicted and the vote does go for him being barred from running for office again, what is so terrible about him going to the Supreme Court....it isnt like he hasnt been there before for less (and lost....the same way he would lose this time too)

Basically his only defense is what happened....happened so close to him being out of office....and that's weak because that is the very reason he basically sent a lynch mob to go kill some politicians and stop and election from being certified...because he was running out of time.

As he leaves office, Trump pardons former top strategist Bannon

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump has granted clemency to former White House aide Steve Bannon as part of a wave of pardons and commutations he will issue during his final hours in office, a senior administration official said.

Trump was not expected to pardon himself, members of his family or lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who was at the forefront of unsuccessful efforts to get the results of the 2020 presidential election overturned, according to sources.

Trump leaves office on Wednesday, when Joe Biden is sworn in as the nation's next president.

Trump also pardoned rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black who were prosecuted on federal weapons offenses, as well as former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was serving a 28-year prison term on corruption charges, a senior administration official said.

Bannon, who was a key adviser in Trump's 2016 presidential run, was charged last year with swindling Trump supporters over an effort to raise private funds to build the president's wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. He has pleaded not guilty.

White House officials had advised Trump against pardoning Bannon. The two men have lately rekindled their relationship as Trump sought support for his unproven claims of voter fraud, an official familiar with the situation said.

Bannon, 67, is the latest prominent political ally to receive clemency from Trump, who has often used the powers of the executive branch to reward loyalists and punish his enemies.

Trump previously pardoned former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn for lying to the FBI about his conversation with the former Russian ambassador, and he commuted the prison term for Roger Stone, who was convicted of lying to Congress during its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Bannon can still be charged in state court in New York, where a pardon would not help him, said Daniel R. Alonso, a former prosecutor now at the Buckley law firm. Fraud prosecutions are frequently brought by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, Alonso said.

Lil Wayne, 38, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., pleaded guilty in federal court in December to illegally possessing a firearm and faced up to 10 years in prison. He has expressed support for Trump's criminal justice reform efforts.

Kodak Black, 23, who was born Bill Kahan Kapri, is in federal prison for making a false statement in order to buy a firearm.

Btw, I had covid... and subsequently a viral pneumonia... I survived not only the initial issue, but also the pneumonia. Today I feel great.

I am looking forward to getting the vaccine, even though I have the probability of being immune from the virus for the next 4-5 months. Long term, I have know idea what to expect. I know that I will keep wearing a mask and performing good hygiene (i.e. washing hands).

    Glad you are feeling better

GOP congresswoman calls metal detectors a “political stunt”

Members of Congress are allowed to carry guns elsewhere in the Capitol complex, but not on the House and Senate floors. Boebert suggested on Twitter on Tuesday that she had a gun with her that evening.

Why is it I have a feeling this is the one that actually gets her gun out at the capital and uses it...

I guess this tells you everything you want to know about Trump....stupidity itself. Could there possibly be a worse lawyer in the US than Guiliani???? To select him out of the thousands of smart lawyers is an act of insanity.

Rudy Giuliani is basically the Chico's Bail Bonds of legal representation..."Let Freedom Ring!!!"

No offense to Saul Goodman (whom I would choose over Giuliani every time...)

This one is obviously one that should receive a little more "justice" than the average "patriot" when sentences start being handed out. What do you think he was planning with those restraints he brought to the party?
