A story ? from this guy, on his first trip to Thailand, after Years of just Going to the Philippines, went Doan to Cowboy, and Had his Pocket picked of 10,000 B so he said .. Like in the first 2 Hrs. by the sound of it, … and then was Over Charged up to 6,000 B for Company or ladies Drinks from our Finest, for the next 2 !!! ... So he says Right ??? So now he says that he is going back to the Philippines, and NOT coming back ??? … I do not know where to Put a post like this ? … But I do think that it is Important. Like I lived in there in Yipsong for many years in the 80’s … before the accidentally on Purpose Slum fires started to break out !!! … But I never have been Cheated there, or in Cowboy like that !!! ... like 16,000B in a Night !!! Vaarrrrr !!! As the Germans would say !!! Well, … Not until much Minorly, say 3 Years ago just pre Pandemic where I was there with another silly American Guy a Nice Guy, But who was moving around with Multiple seats chasing ladies once again, … as you do ??? (Except not me as I have anxiety Right !!! Har Har …never got that one in to the Councilor Right ???) … So any way, they just made up Duplicate bills, for everywhere he sat, and then charged him for the Lot !!! ... and well Argue ??? .. Like am I right here Or was it always there ? and I just did not see it ??? Like my Questions is on the new wording ??? In the “Cash in the bank section of the NON – OA Visa extension”. ??? ... Like I think that they have changed that wording now ??? ??? ... Well it was Implied before, that the 800,000 in the bank probably should have come from OUT side Thailand, … but they did not say that !!! Precisely, I think … Until now I see ??? … I think. ? ??? And in the Documents Required section underneath these requirements ... also new words re this “Fund deposit certificate” issued by a commercial bank located in Thailand and a copy of bank account” … Nb. “Fund deposit certificate” … It always has have the Bank Account details for 12 Months, … but I have not seen the Requirement for the “Fund Deposit Certificate” before ??? Like am I right in this ? it was Not there before ??? … Any Ideas on this one fellow NON – OA and O holders ??? Like trying out Pill Shopping when I actually was probably not very sick so did not need them probably was my own Fault I guess. ... Like it realy wss all precititated just by the CV 19 disaster !!! ... And I never realy should have tried the Anti Depresents !!! As I actualy probably did not need them ...I just needed to deal with the CV 19 Disaster ...Well And The Alcoholism I guess. ... As many people and my self still have to. A Malay Muslim Actually. Like if you do not want a Muslim or Indian Doctor in Australia now !!! ... Well good Luck with trying to fine another one !!!!! ... So Luckily I do like them. Yes I think that what sort of Drugs would really be the Question, Like yes some might have been Good but well in My experience they had put me on the worst of the Anti Depressant, and my Carer Friend knew it !!! and was NOT very happy !!! ... Like the really harsh ones take over a month to get used to they say !!! Like just seems wat WAY to fatal and Serious to me. ? Maybe you drugs were better ???... Like valium !!! Highly Addictive, but well if it fixed you and then you stopped taking it !!! Well YES that would be quite a success I think. ... But well watch the Doctors !!! ... Mine was WRONG !!! Like a career Un or lowly Trained ??? ... so called "our best" Mental Health GP !!! ... Typing the stories in to his Computer !!! ... AND giving out the WRONG MEDCATION !!! ... I think !!! And though I have met plenty of People who would agree with you. ... I actually do not, but well, with Kindness to you and happienes for your recovery also. I have a friend who works in Caring, and also another Woman friend who was watching me also, like this was at the start of the Epidemic, when all borders were closed, and I WAS stranded in my old Mother’s House in Australia !!! … Like feeling VERY Stranded !!! as I have a family here in Thailand. !!! And it looked very VERY Hopeless for me to be able to get back to it. ... Like it Took almost 2 Years in the end, before I really could, give the lack of flights through it all to my part of the country. So, I was Hit by pretty Major Anxiety, well I has it before, like all the very moderately successful men in my Family, Still have it also. So I thought OH ? Take a few Pills and Fix it !!! … So I went to a good Doctor that was Recommended to me !!! By the Nurses in his Clinic !!! and he took the advantage to Put me on a mental health Program, !!! Which I accepted, as it made everything free for several visits !!! to the specialists! ... and then he put me on the usual Pills. !!! ... But well my Carer Friend Warned me, … mental conditions often are often, NOT a condition that you can just cure with Pills, and they often CAN just make it worse !!! Like he works with software cases he calls them, Majorly mentally Challenged People from birth, … but not Screwdriver Murders (Hardware cases ) … AND any way THEY DID !!! The anti-depressants … pretty much totally screw me !!! … I was so stressed I had to ring the Doctors Clinic in under a week !!! as they were making e feel Really REALLY SICK !!! ... … My Doctor was not there so I spoke with another who said ..."Woahhh" !!! ... STOP taking the Pills !!! …. And we will have you in to see the Doctor was it next Monday ? … Like a day or two. Like My friend was right, I probably was not a mental patient at all, … I had just said yes to get the Free psychological counseling !!! … which well was OK, .... But well the Pills, WERE Nearly Killing me !!! Well, In My Case. (And I wonder if I ever would have got better if I HAD stayed on them !!! ??? ) … Yes my writing needs to be Cleaned up a REAL a Lot !!! … And well I am slowly doing it. (And my Emotions also controlled my Friend, also.) I Used to be an On Line navigator and Surveyor, on Exploration ships, usually working Night shifts alone, (Well with the Philippina second mate, my Eyes and Ears and Lights and Radar watcher up on the Bridge) … with 60 men sleeping under our feet, while I worked steering the vessel through the quite flammable Oil instillations, with Huge Seismic Air Gun arrays, and a 7 k streamer Cable behind us, … in the usual ocean tides and Currents. ... Though Well ??? ... Anti Depressants just made me Worse for me !!! ... (<Jeezz>, those Little <deleted> pills CAN <deleted> up your physical Head Feeling, up physically well being ??? ... Like making you Cry internally, ... Physically !!! A LOT Also !!!) ... It was Only ... 1. a Good Doctor who Fixed me up in Hospital, ... and 2. a Bloody Good, non practicing Bosnian Muslim Former Refugee, who decided that, becoming a Drugs and Alcohol Councilor, was a better option than spending the rest of his Life in Goal, (For Attacking Serbs I guess ???) ... That really saved me !!! ... The best Councilor that I have ever had !!! though well ??? The only one also. ... ...E.G. ??? Just start off with a good Doctor ? ... for the Physical, ... and then get a Good Councilor to get better after the Physical problems are fixed up ? Well on their way to being I guess. ??? ... Well I have written Just Way ! Way ! Way to much on this one, but as an old Biker and having had a few narrow escapes my self ! ... my mind is pretty interested in it, and then there is the Mystery as to why it happened as it looks like every thing was just right ! So ...WHY would he strongly just hit the back of the truck in just such totally clear situation ??? Well I do think that I may have got it Fellows now. ? Poor Mr Edward probably used to ride Scooters ? ... which have both break levers up on the Handel bars by the handle grips. He would have been in the right lane going a reasonable speed on hos new Duke. And The truck well in the left, but a wide truck. And going slowly. He would have speed up to get past this slow truck. But some how possibly with the Torque applications of the Ducati, if he was slightly off line, and getting closer to the back of the truck, he would have been pushed further left, starting to get Dangerously close to it. So He would have started to Panic ... and Being an old Scooter driver ?? he probably panicked and correctly backed off the power?, but then pulled in both front handel bar leavers at the front, like both breaks on a Scooter ? ... but being his new Big Bike ! They would have been the Clutch and the Front Break ? . .. And like my Experience on Asia when my engine ceased at 150 ... backing of the power would have been slowing it down ...But by pulling in the clutch by accident this woukd have negated she slowing down, and let it surge forward !!! ...Towards the truck ! ? Faster ! ?... and panicked him even further, probably pulling on the front break, the other front lever, even harder ? ... And on bikes you can not steer when you pull the front break on hard. . So he would have shot over the road more to the left ! And hit the back wheels of the truck ! ... Him being thrown forward with the momentum,, and he sadly was thrown under the truck. End of story ? As to how he got there under a perfectly well driven truck and in very good driving conditions. I will not give you my opinion on Scooters except they are an Italian ? Or French design arn't they ? Recalcitrant Machines i think, that I would never ride ? ... Though we must remember The Who and Quadriphinia, ... and the Mods who used to ride them right ( And also had plenty accidents on them as well.) ... ... But any way this is my theory why Poor Mr Edward hit the back of the truck under perfect driving conditions and on a Good day. (My Granddaughter wants a scooter but I want her on a normal bike, so she learns how to ride on a bike that handle like one and also has all of the levers in the right places as well ?. But well ? ... Def Ms. "Beutiful" !!! ... Only a very brave man would defy her right !! ) ... (But I Will in this one.) ... Ok. RIP Mr Edward. And maybe those of you who have mentioned it ... could let your Pensioner friends know about these Two very different configuration of the controls, on these two very different designs of motor bike ...

Right ? ... I think the original as designed window Pillar on the right of the front wind screen blocks your vision just about as much ? And the just slight but well real ? Blind spot on the rear left ... if you do not adjust the LH side mirror out enough to cover it, ... is still the main danger. ... I think ??? I never really used my Mirrors on my Bike ! I always went fast to stay out ahead of the other traffic, ... and looked. ! ... When I needed to move either way. ? ... ??? ... But if I was on a bigger, faster highway bikes, and here in Thailand and out on Asia, ... I probably would.

Last One Fellows - I saw this in the TThaiger ... And in just the few words of it pretty well does Clear things up, for me any way, and the way it is writen IS pretty easy to Believe also I think, like basic, Accident English. ... "But the motorcycle lost control and collided with his truck" ... Like this makes it Just so much Clearer. (I think) .... And the Photos clearly support the Drivers story, of him being IN the left Lane all along. (Just google the Head line of this story in to Google search, and look in the TThaiger Link that was at the top for me I think, and it is in English. So well it does Look like the bike, was Trying to over take the slower Vechiel, and Probably was speeding up to try to do this ... But d/t Inexperience with the new Bike ? ??? ... probably, ??? ... He hit the back Right hand side of the truck, .... I read the driver said that he hit his back wheels ? ... So well Poor Mr Edward, was Thrown forward ? Probably ? ... and under the truck, ... and was then crushed under the Wheels ... This also suggests that Mr Edward was Heading more in the wrong direction, ... to the Left also, as that is the direction that he flew. ??? Like the Positions of the Drag marks in the photos would indicate that the truck Was well in the left, or even further left, ... and also going pretty Slowly, as it still seemed very close to where the Bike ended up and Mr Edward was still under the back of the truck ! ? Like this truck, would have been VERY Hard to Have Hit I think, unless the Ducati, ... was going well off course, and in the wrong direction I think ? RIP My Edward, a Sad occurrence on your New Bike. ... Sorry. (And for the truck driver also, who you hit, and then had to get you out from under the back of it. ... AND Then !!! ... Like “someone” did 164 km p/h on Asia Highway between the Bridges, where you get a Good look, at about 4 or 5 K of open Road, if you are Lucky, from the top of the first one ... So then ! G, O, … GO ! (Heading South from the Lopburi river bridge, to the Prasak River one. ... Hit just over 100, ... 120 now, as you pas the only turn off and the Servo, ... and then if it is still Clear ! ..... Yesss ! …. Goooeee ! ... Like they had to slow down as they had No faring so it was starting to take off ! (But these days, I would say that on a Jap, Yamaha 360 That I hear, at Nights ??? It just would be a doddle I think ! ? ... But Well back then, if you Step son has screwed the Auto Lube down, to save money, ... it might Ceases up at about 150 ! ... ... And then you end up in the fast lane, on a little rice Burner with it's back wheel ceased up. ... But this guy lived as he had developed an Exit plan, ... Fast ... a LOT of Honking etc from the other Traffic as they caught up with him, ! But it was a good day, ... and he was able to stay upright, ... and by pulling the clutch in, so it went faster But it did not skid, ... so he was able to go at the same speed as the traffic, so staying with the Flow of the Traffic, so as not to get hit ... and then the exit strategy, ... exited Stage left, when the Cars had all passed. ... And then see if the engine would still go. ... On the side of the Road. Like he did not really have an Escape plan to start with, but the run between the Bridges WAS pretty well Planed, ...and the open Road was the escape plan, ... like little to hit, and Little to hit him ! ? ... So he Did have a free mind, .... to be able to develop another one, Real Fast !!! When he did need it ! ... and he did not panic ? ... And he was wearing a full faced Helmut, AND shoes, so he did not get his feet destroyed, if he came off ! ... Though well I do think that he might have bene very Very Scared !!! .... Like only young people can do this ! as they are never going to Die ! ? Are they !!! ... and I my self, do not ride Motor bikes any more, other then down to the shop. It’s Management and speed !!! and No names as the Guy survived and has 2 Kids now, and IS very happy in the God Dam US of A right ? … But re Bikes and Speed ! … AND pretty ? well very bad Thinking, …. but well some pretty helpful Thais also, who saved his life ! !!! J shall we say, was coming home from the Grand Night club Soi, near Asia and had Just roared over the Bridge crossing the Chalphya ... and must have picked up a LOT of speed on the down slop, …. Race with a local Thai Pickup, and taking him on the left, …like about Normal peoples closing time !!! In the Dark !!! and in The rain !!! ... But he did not see this just Huge Hole in the Road, a new Drain hole, about 3 m deep and 2 wide, that was Only protected by a Pile of Dirt and a small bit of red and white wood, and a small red Light !!! … And he went down this Hole on his Honda 150 Street racer, one of the first Exhaust Valve racing 2 strokes (I had a Yamaha TZR) ... and he hit the other end of the Excavation, at Oh ? It must have been about 100K I would Imagine, … smashed his jaw in, on the edge of the hole and got some Rebar or dirt down his throat I think ??? … Then flew 63 ? or was it 67 meters through the air, down the Road ! Missed 2 Trees and a traffic sign, and landed on his Face in the same lane that he had started off in, … and then slid on about another 10 meters or so ? Like they measured it, and I saw the Blood Splats ! … and well I am sure that is what happened (Like he told me Right ) .... But a Thai Pickup, Possibly the racers, or their mates ? ... Rushed in and Really just Picked him up, and threw him in the back of their pickup, and drove him at speed Up the road, and around the corner to the Ayutthaya general Hospital ! …. Where he WAS Saved ! Pumped full of Valium to open his airways up, as bits of concrete had gone down his throat from the Edge of the Holes road surface, and done a Lot of Damage ! ... But they then tubed him ! … and he Survived ! … Like (Probably) Drunk ? Racing, on a Motor bike ! at Night, in the Rain, and taking him on the left Lane ! ... This is Realy REALLY ! What NOT TO DO. Like THIS is just total Miss management, and not even a bit of Miss adventure I think .... And also Very VERY Lucky. He must have been about 22 ? Or something back then, And now as I say Lived Happily in the US with 2 Nice Little Kids I heard ! and a very Nice wife also ! … So, well Yes, There is NO such Thing as beyond Hope Folks ? … It is all just how hard that you want to try ? right ? … and how lucky They are. Yes after considering what I read more i think you are probably right. He went in to the side and not fast.... I still wonder why. I also remember some on posting that the Bike the guy and the scratches on the road were all on the left hence my hit from behind theory. ... Like a quite huge Bike accident Scynario !!! ... bikes being fast and Low loaders pretty slowe? (Like Thai racing boys going under the backs of Bussrs. ?...Pretty Spectacularly !!! ) But well thinking about it it was probably that the Police moved it all in to the left to keep Traffic moving in the right lane. Still why did he hit the Back Right side of the Low Loader. ... Well Low loaders are pretty wide and also difficult looking pieces of kit to keep clear of I think ! ... Like they all scare me ! ... And also the men that point out that Ducaties are more dificult ? Well muck diferent to ride than othet bikes like my old Jap Rice burners ! ... Though well after a close miss my self, in Cambodia where my Thai Friend who was ahead of me, stopped for a Woman by the side of the road, ? ...in some sort of trouble, ??? But I, who was behind him just looked at her and waved !!!! .... ... Like I just missed him at speed in the dust !!! Like a lot of bikes together, ? ... and then you have the Problem of "Friendly Fire" ???? Right ... The riders hitting each other, if they are not concentrating ??? ??? ... ALLS GOOD !!! .... But I prefer to ride alone and keep well out in front of the Traffic !!! (Always having an Exit plan in my Mind for if things do go wrong !!!) .... As that is safer even if speeding, but well ??? Probably pretty hard to do in Thailand with it's Volume of Traffic. ???

Yes I do tend to agree with you both here, But from Experience i would think the Thai truck driver would have left enough room for the Duke ... it is just that he did not react fast enough to avoid him. You would have had to be on your Maximum look out any time you even considered passing or getting close to a Voechel like that I think. RIP Mr Edwards was it ? ...

Yes most likely he crashed in to the back of it at speed as he had not realised or reacted fast enough to how slow it was going. It was a low loader with an excavator on it !!! So it would not have been going very fast at all I woukd say. Possibly not stupidly fast but fast enough for him to be thrown up on to the tray, ... hit the Excavator and role off the Right side ... the way he would have been moving to try to avoud it when he rrleslised that he was going to fast. ... Roled off and gone under the back wheels. The low losder might have been moving right to avoid something else but well A huge Low Loader !!! I ?? . . In Australia it probably would have had a warning sighn saying "Do not pass Turning Viechel" on it ... or "wide load." ... You do not F with low loaders with Excavators on them any way, ... what ever the rules, or situation might be any way. Like it would be a bloody hard way to make money driving that huge piece of kit around !!! Just ask any Foreign Transport Worker if you do not believe me ??? RIP Mate !!!All the same.

I go for the Lost Concentration ? I nearly hit the wall at 110 when my Wife saw a car she liked, and Pointed it out to me taking my attention of the road on a slight bend !!! Loss of Concentration, excess speed, lack of Experience, and on a Bend. ..... How many Trucks were on The Road ? ... Maybe he was passing a whole line of them, and Lost concentration in the middle of them, and just drifted a bit to far left !!! ??? ... Maybe he had a Health issue ??? Eg passed out or had a fit ? Like drugies who have fits while driving are suspended for 6 months you know ??? any way sorry it probably was not that extrem, but well ??? ... just in that general direction ??? I drive about 40k every school day, and some times in the 120k lane, ... and I never see any Truck drivers do any thing Malicious OR stupid. ... Though my part of the Asia Highway is probably one of the best Pieces of road in Thailand I must admit ? ... (That I think.) ... Like driving in Pattay or Phuket !!! NO THANKS. The trucks here and there are a LOT of them !!! ... They always use their Indicators, and are vey Courteous, never usually moving if someone is behind them any where near them if it is fast !!! And usualy only in the 1st and the second lanes, the Truck lanes, .... The Company Work Busses clogging up the 3rd lane out are a Problem, but well Only because they are Big as well as fast at the Moment, to me. And well compared with even only 3 Years ago, More Traffic, But I DO see a LOT More Care also ... Like almost all follow the speed limits, and ARE courteous. (Actually More Courteous than in Australia I think, ... as they do not set the rules in their own minds, Like Australians do and close and then the gap if they think that you should not get through !!! .. ... Thais DO let you through ... If you fit. ... and do not Impose their will of "The Ruels" on you !!! so I like driving here better. But well better not go on. My Step son drives a Logistic Truck, a "Hock law" 6 wheels, like a smart Guy like the Truck drivers are smart here, as if they are not !!! they would not get a Truck !!! ... Like plenty of other smarter Drivers around !!! Right !!! ... and my Brother in Law a truck drivers assistant .... So well I treat all trucks with Respect, like they are just Poor men trying to make a Living after all !!! ... and they treat me with respect also. TIGT This is the Good side of Thailand !!! ... I would say that this poor guy drove in to the back of the Truck. And so like Train drivers that hit things on Level crossings !!! ... We should consider HIS problems, when he is just driving along, trying to do his Job and make a living, ... and some Foreign Guy on a Big Duke, powers in to the back of him !!! ... and gets Killed !!! .... ... Often Comes back around !!! ??? .... And a Restraining Order !!! ??? ... So Thailand does have these ??? ... I just thought that the Obvious dangers of family ? and their Brothers or other connections or even boyfriends, ... were the main Restraining factors ??? ... ...
