  1. You obviously have not been back out in the UK A lot of people are still wearing masks and seems they will continue to do so.
  2. The attitude is somewhat more worrying in Thailand and their constant fear mongering, yes they are people still concerned over it in Europe but the propaganda machine always works better in people that are already conditioned. They totally blew this thing way out of proportion, all the estimates we much higher than the reality, authorities were over zeulous in their policing during this time, many questions will no doubt be raised, not so much in Thailand but certainly the developed world will push for somesort of explanation. The point i was suspicious and thought this was over the top was the 2021 Fa cup in May of that year, when Prince William and his son George attended wembley with 20,000 other fans. Would the country send two heirs ot the throne with 20,000 people if they was any danger associatted with their health?
  3. I would wait until closer to the time to see how the restrictions or conditions have changed. Have to ask why on earth they would book flights through a 3rd party provider and not direct with the airline!?
  4. Majority of property developers want to sell all the houses on any given site, holding onto and renting out their houses are not generally part of the plan. However a lot of developers have an agent that they work with that is tied to the development and they would be happy to offer their services and work with you to be rent or buy any of the plots. Unsure of the road name but if you head towards black mountain golf course from the main town you will see quite a few developments with pools for rent, nice quiet area and only 5 or 10 min from town. Be careful there with lawyers and any paperwork and use a foreign lawyer / I used a local women and got totally screwed as have others with this particular one. There was also a news story where a french guy jumped off a building after dealings with one of these local 'lawyers'. They really dont care!
  5. Be careful what you wish for. One of the pros of Thailand is the fact that it is so bent but also cheap and slightly backward. You get into trouble In Thailand and you can pay yourself out of it. This pleasure in western countries is reserved for the entitled and people within a certain position of power. Enjoy it while you can, perhaps even the best days there's have already passed. If they clean up it could end up like Singapore, the world needs a few cheap hedonistic places that are considered 'slightly backward' and perhaps a little old fashioned. A few years there was a Russian women working as a receptionist in a Phuket hotel and upon signing in we had declare the names of anyone else staying in our rooms (Having only just arrived, this had not been arranged yet) The Russian women made it clear that we were not allowed to bring anyone back to the hotel that was not previously signed in, lol
  6. I agree that the mainstream news is a terrible influence for poor mental health, turn it off or limit it severely. If the news ever covers a topic that you know very well you will often see that alot of the information is incorrect and slanted in order to give a certain view or impression. If a story of the news appears that we are not that familiar with we take whatever is being reported to us as factual information and a service to us. Its only looking back that you realize all is not as it should be and fear and propaganda are high on there list of objectives. Dont fall for the hype.
  7. Lol stay home mate and dont tar everyone with the same brush just because they were born in a different country. Embrace all as individuals, some you will like some you wont but Country of origin should no be a reason to hate.
  8. "Publish Israeli study of the 4th booster of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. The study's results and conclusions (we need a new generation of vaccines) says it all. It's disturbing in a counter-intuitive way in that very high neutralizing (antibody) titers don't equate to high vaccine efficacy hence unusually high numbers of 'break-through cases.' Even though a pre-print, it does provide a signal that there is a need for extensive research on newer, more effective vaccine technology." What on earth does that mean? Going to have a new wave of vaccines?
  9. Thailand is a backward basket case as you put it. Agree with you there. 'Red Herrings like Africa are of no interest' However, that's nearly 17% of the worlds population! But you choose to ignore it lol!!!!
  10. Typical, you change the parameter when the information provided doesnt tally with your on beliefs! No one mentioned boosted we were discussing vaccinated i.e two shots. Anyway even your booster disparities still doesn't relate to Africa or Bangladesh for eg
  11. Bill Gates said yesterday, they are now more vaccines available then what is actually needed and that natural immunity is best.....however they still have alot of stock left which i guess is still being pushed to those countries that will still take it. Listen here and even Bill is upset that the vaccines are not really needed. The point i am making is that there is very little difference between the amount of people whom are considered fully vaccinated with the UK and Thailand (Both well ahead of what was deemed enough to stop the spread) However then you add Africa's figures and the whole model falls apart.....less than 10% full vaccinated and the hospitals are certainly nut full or health capacity pushed to the edge (also take into account the countries dont have the facilities we have) Look at the UK we are ending all restrictions on Thursday, even if you have covid you dont have to self isolate. So now the difference between UK and Thailand is even more similar taken into account Africas figures busting the theroies apart, yet UK and Thailand are miles apart in terms of restirctions imposed on their citizens.
  12. The state sponsored lottery and shrines.... supported and proped up by the poor and gullible! Who says governments takes advantages of its citizens! Lol
  13. There are more people fully vaccinated in Thailand then in the UK. Africa as a continent has less around 80 % of vaccinations than the UK and Thailand. Yet they have far fewer cases and deaths, when i mean far fewer i mean around 70% less. Just examples that don't add up, Countries seem to just make it up as they go along or get influenced by their bigger brothers, in terms of how the control the data and what gets released.
  14. Waiting for the survey to put this elephant into isolation and keep it away from any other animals!
  15. Tell me you know nothing about bitcoin without telling me youknow nothing about bitcoin. Apologies if this is too harsh, but really ignorant to post things you have no idea of. Traditional markets are closed 2 days of the week and after 5pm n=other days Bitcoin market is so liquid, i could sell 2m worth now within 2 min and not effect the market price,....it would then be in my bank for as long as a traditional bank transfer takes. The only point that takes times is the legacy bank transfer!
  16. Beginning to look like a game of hot potato! Not sure why they are sending to Ethiopia, less than 2 % vaccinated and cases and deaths declining! I would send them back, they seems to be a direct correlation between number of jabs and number of cases! https://graphics.reuters.com/world-coronavirus-tracker-and-maps/countries-and-territories/ethiopia/
  17. A friend of mines gf in the UK used to run marathons and is a personal trainer, however since her booster she has been unable to train and is out of breath doing small things. Theres a few cases like this although not 100% sure they are connected to the jab. I was booked in for surgery in the UK last year and asked if i should get vaccinated before the operation. I spoke to my surgeon and nurses and they both said it makes no difference to them if i'm vaccinated or not. This was the official line i was told. Now i hear wallies above saying the unvaxxed are like drink drivers ! Er? I have been to hospital 4 times in the last 18 months, my surgeon and staff on subsequent visits have no idea whether I am vaccinated or not and secondly not asked either. Not connected but the surgeon or nurses have no idea of my medical history, they ca not see the information my gp has on me! Bizarre system let me tell you that!
  18. Living in a 3rd/ 2nd world military dictatorship in the Far east you don't really expect information to be easy to find or access!? One they don't actually know what they are doing coupled with their lack of common sense finds them holding a position that they would not normally ever have. They are in charge and then you try to deal with the estate agents and lawyers and again you can get very sketchy information. Tried to buy a house in Hua Hin once and ended up with two companies, no house and an outstanding loan of 2m baht!.......perhaps i should go to the authorities !?? lol My thoughts are that peoples expectations are far too high when they move to Thailand. One of the most annoying and also best qualities of the the Thais is there total lack of awareness of time or the urgency and efficiency of getting something done.
  19. Guys, going to work in Saudi Arabia is about appealing to some, as living in a 3rd world military dictatorship! The UK and US have been selling arms in great numbers to the Saudi's so they can bomb Yemen. I would be more concerned about that then Thai kids getting work visas but hey ho.
  20. Black and white lines on the road do not equal a zebra crossing and pedestrians have no right of way. If there are orange flashing lights next to white markings on the road than that is a zebra crossing and cars must give way to waiting pedestrians. I'm presuming there are not may orange flashing lights at these crossings? This has been the rule in the UK since day dot yet most drivers are not aware of this.
