Regardless of what anyone may say, think, or hope on here, it may very well turn out that any new procedure for non-affidavit based monthly income extension of stay state that funds must be proven to have been transferred to a Thai bank account each month from an account ex-Thailand.
As the (US) Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared.
I agree
That would be enough proof

So if the Police Order is still in effect for the monthly income route, and the affidavit from the Embassy has been disallowed, Thai IMM has to come up with SOME way to implement the monthly income option of the Police Order.

But that would mean that without any reason or pressure to do so the TI is proposing to change or offer more possibilities to prove income, doesn't sound right to me. If this was the case ie. 'you don't need the embassy letter anymore' why are all the other embassies still issuing the letter and in the case of the embassy I use saying we have no plans to stop the letter ?

You need to go to the court and get a paper explaining you are undergoing an investigation or on bail.
You then take this to the Immigration and they give you a 2 week extension (1900฿).
If the court date is extended beyond the 14 days you go back to court, get the paper again then back to immigration and they will give you a month extension.
Next time they give 3 months but you need the paper from the court and your bail form.
makes sense
