Report Bangkok's Smart Traffic Signals Cut Delays by Up to 41%, Says Governor
hanbla replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
No. Two days ago we were stuck in junction Si Ayutthaya Rdand Rama VI Rd for more than 20 minutes waiting for green light. I noticed these cameras in the junction and wondered what it was. When turning to Rama VI it was a massive traffic jam because of all the parked cars, mainly taxis waiting outside Foreign Ministry and Ramathibodi Hospital. Red white checkered of course but who cares. If they moved all these cars there would be an increase of traffic flow more than 41%, I promise.. 😉 -
Public healthcare offers basic treatment. That is not true. Ever heard of for example Chulalongkorn Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital or Siriraj Hospital?? All of them university hospitals with the best doctors and the latest equipment. Foreigners are also welcome. They also have premium clinics where you pay a little more, but still to a fraction of what private hospitals charge

Report Thailand Considers Hosting Local F1 Race to Boost Tourism
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So this stupid wet dream is here again? It will cost more than Thailand will get back. Little puppet, go home and make your homework. Work it out with all these horrific tariffs. Make tariff deals with EU, Australia, India if you not have been doing it. Make sure your father take care of his grandchildren instead of interfere in politics all the time. People around the world doesn't like this theatre, they don't want to invest and people doesn't want to come here. Make Thailand more interesting to visit, clean up all the mess, scams and so on show the world that you actually do something. There are probably thousands of other things she can do and should do. -
Don't do it, she is not going sending anything to her family anyway. And ... helping family by sending 30k per month is way to much. If you want to help a girls family -Get to know her better first - Better to help them so they can make money by themselves. Help starting a business, like a minimart or whatever or buy land so they can grow something. But land should be in girlfriends name, otherwise some family will sell it.

hanbla replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
Well since they follow the international security protocol they have to check every single bag on the plane and that takes time. It's also described in the text. -

Foreigner Wrecks Chiang Mai Stall After Smoking Ban Warning
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
This is what happens when you change the visa rules and open the door to the country, then you get these "quality " tourists. Everywhere these morons who think they can do whatever they want. All these incidents make thai think the same about all farangs living here. We, the 99% who behave, respect thai and thai culture will have difficulties because of these disgusting people.- 367 replies

Former Yellow Shirt Leader Behind Airport Shutdown Threatens Mass Protests
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Send this moron away, in 2008 he made a lot of trouble for Thailand, (and even for me as I was planned for a flight out from Suvarnabhumi that time) They tried to assassinate him, he was seriously injured, he went to jail, he's now 77, didn't he learn anything. Even if I don't support the little PM-girl I don't want these protests and demonstrations it only worsens the economy and tensions in the country. Calm down old man, take it easy, play some boule, take a sip on your icetea and be normal. -
Anutin Backs Cannabis and Entertainment Complex Policies
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
He was the one implementing the current rules and now he wants to control the cannabis use🤔 Does he also want to control the entertainment venues with clear laws or is he seeing the casinos and gambling sites as places where he can collect BIG brown envelopes? (In other countries they close casinos as they are places where the organised crime laundries their money. ) -
Danish Expat Risks Prison in Thailand Over Lost Car Incident
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is harassment, he had been to hospital for God's sake. It's a lot going around in your head then and easy to forget where you parked your car. Sometimes I also forget. I hope they sort it out for the poor man. The so called law enforcement are just looking for money 💰- 147 replies

BEM to Start West-Side Construction of MRT Orange Line in August
hanbla replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
That's good, BUT the eastern part of orange line is not finished. It was supposed to be finished a couple of years ago but still not due to covid and due to different allegations. Now they say maybe it will open in 2026. But according to Orange Line website the project has been over 95% ready for more than 18 months now so I don't understand why it can't be finished before 2026. -

Bangkok Taxi Driver Drags Motorcyclist's Bike for a Kilometre
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The motorcycle shouldn't been driving there in the first place since mc:s are not allowed on overpasses in Bangkok. I'm sometimes very annoyed of these crazy guys on two wheels swarming around my car on both sides. But with that said, if the taxidriver did that on purpose they should fine him, jail him and revoke his licence. -
Mixed Reactions to Thailand's Proposed Casino Complexes
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A Casino is an institution where you not only can gamble, but also laundry your dirty money. That's why they close them in many countries now. Perhaps that's why the government are so eager to open one? -
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s opulent family holiday in Phuket
hanbla replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
This is OLD nonsense news. Here's the original article from 2015 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3379111/Inside-Angelina-Jolie-Brad-Pitt-s-luxurious-vacation-Couple-six-children-18-000-night-Thailand-beach-resort.html -
Well it's culture, my wife told me about superstars in Thailand paying millions in dowry. I married my wife 15 years ago and didn't pay a single satang. Her parents from Issan has never asked me for money. On the contrary they have asked me if I needed any. When my wife's sister married her husbands family came with 300 k and gold and gave to my mother in law. She just commented "you need it more than me" and gave it to the wedded couple.
