OP, if you mentioned Terminal 21 because you want to have meals there, it would be wise to stay close by.
On booking.com and also agoda.com etc., there is a facility for you to view hotels in "map view" so you can see which hotels are really close to Terminal 21.
You can choose which one you like according to price, etc.

I can send you one for only 1000 baht.

If you are having the hernia repair by "mesh" placement, it is not a minor operation (IMO) and you should really be in the best hospital possible.
For others, I have recently research costs for this operation, and was shocked to find the average rate in Thailand for hernia repair with mesh is close to $4000 and in India is only around $1000!

PM sent
Suspicious. Why a PM, on a topic that many are probably interested in?
OP, I would be careful, this fellow seems to not want the rest of us to see whatever he/she suggests to you.

Vancouver was LITERALLY PARADISE before the World Expo in '86 I believe, I grew up there.
From water skiing to snow skiing in just under 10 minutes!
The cleanest, most beautiful city in world, IMHO!
Then the Chinese takeover of Hong Kong took place, and (rich) Hong Kong citizens realized that a Canadian citizenship was available for an affordable price, and many of them went for it, choosing Vancouver to invest in real estate mainly.
Property prices went through the roof, and remain there, increasing to well beyond a "regular" Canadian's affordability.
It still is, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but there are many alternatives in Canada, smaller cities, many small towns, where things especially housing is much more affordable.
Vancouver is now exclusively to be enjoyed by the mega-rich, excepting those that chose to remain in their owned homes, my family being one, who did not pay much attention to the rapidly increasing housing rates, because they owned their own, prior to the price explosion and chose to remain there.
For newcomers, please note that even a modest home is now available at a minimum of a million dollars.
Regarding weather, Vancouver is the most temperate, with snow only in winter, for a few short months, rest of the year is quite comfortable, unlike most other places in Canada.

There are BENEFITS from this new regulation:
1- Windfall for neighboring countries who will see a sharp increase in foreigners spending their 180 days each year not in Thailand,
2- Many "tax lawyers" and accountants getting increased business from worried foreigners.
Benefits to the Thai Government?
I don't see much, rather I see a sharp decrease in local spending by those who decide to go outside Thailand for 180 days, or for those who decide that enough is enough, and change their retirement location to another country.

One would think that infecting another with HIV would be even more serious than rape?
Does anyone know the charge that applies here in Thailand?
A lower piece of <deleted> guy I don't think exists.

I would not eat them raw, just boil them, or for something really delicious, make an Indian style "dal" with them.

It seems that you do not need to incorporate in Thailand because the only benefits are here you could buy land/house and also possibly get a work permit.
IMO, Thailand is the least desirable of countries to form a limited company, due to constantly changing rules, high taxation, and stict scrutiny by the authorities.
Almost any other should be better for you, I would research neighbors and other options first.
I know you can form a company in Delaware, USA without even being present there, and get the most favourable tax rates out of all the states in the USA.

You're saying that the video that actually showed the three British morons walking away isn't genuine?
No, I'm saying it does not have a time or date stamp on it, so it could have been taken while they were on their way to the bar, or even on a different day. I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe they are walking hale and hearty, after the beatdown that we all watched, Lou.

Lou, give it up already!
Do you even realize you are trying to defend a bunch (yes, a bunch) of morons ganging up to repeatedly kick tourists in the head, some apparently with deadly force?
And then, pointing to a video of them "walking" home after this encounter as a fact, knowing that it would be humanly impossible to do so???
Give it up, please. Have some sympathy, for at least the guy in the coma, and please don't show videos of him walking home, whilst in said coma, please!

Congrats, so instead of antagonizing everybody on this forum, you have now also made your "mate" lose one of his favourite watering holes, and also managed to make enemies of some bar/restaurant owners in a far corner of LOS.
Good to hear you are not only selectively targeting us, and aiming to alienate as many people as you possibly can!
Keep going, and do let us know when you need money to pay your hospital bills.

You have no idea whether it is fake, use common sense, fella.
I'd like to see you take a beatdown similar to what happened to these guys and then see if you can walk home like they are apparently doing in this video, in daylight, in the wrong direction, it was obviously taken before the brawl, you seem to lack even a modicum of common sense, Lou.

NO WAY the video taken of the 3 guys walking together was taken AFTER the incident, one is in a coma, and after the beating the other took, it would simply not be physically possible for them to "walk", anywhere, I am quite sure of that!
Add to that the fact that one of them (the guy with the unpaid bill) absconded and was not even around, they cheerily meet up again and skip back to their hotel, all smiles, and in daylight, when the beating took place at night?
This video is OBVIOUSLY dis-information thrown out there by either the bar or the authorities to make the public anger die down, and I'm ashamed that a few of us are helping spread this fake video, showing the 3 them as hale and hearty. Use common sense, fellas!

4 hours ago, ballpoint said:He's certainly aptly named in the view of the dinosaurs, and their current pets. A right Pita for them. As others have said, I don't think they'll bother trying to disguise their steps to remove him and his party from the equation. (In fact, if they've learned from the previous dissolution of the party and its former leader, only to see it come back stronger in its current incarnation, they will do all they can to dissolve it and prevent its rising again). Nothing was done domestically when they stole the last election, and nothing will be done internationally when they steal the next (and next, and next...). The West will outwardly grumble, but keep on dealing with whoever is in charge. Any real punishment or sanctions will drive Thailand further into the China camp, and the West will happily do business with any unelected despot, as long as he's on their side. Unless there is huge widespread local protest at any attempt to dissolve them, with the army rank and file on their side, then nothing will change - though, that's easy for me to say, because I won't be the one to go to Bangkok and protest armed opposition. The patron-politics of Thailand, whereby one family more or less runs a province and pays for political support, and its own protestors to maintain that, is another large obstacle in the path of democracy here, into which MFP appeared to be making inroads. Things were never going to be easy with both the Bangkok and the rural elite against them - well demonstrated by the current army-Thaksin alliance. It remains to be seen just how far Pita, and other party leaders, are prepared to go should they be removed and banned. Will they come out with their hands on their heads, or on the trigger of a gun (so to speak)?
Could not read due to a headache caused by a lack of paragraphs. Unfortunate. Was actually interested.

I was told long ago to recognize dehydration by "pinching" a part of your skin.
If it does not revert back into it's normal shape immediately, get help!

Lived in central London for a couple of years in the early 80's.
Virtually no crime to be seen anywhere. There probably was, but far less than today.
Therefore, one is left with the only explanation for the explosion of crime is the concurrent explosion in the intake of "refugees" from third world countries.
Not say that all crime committed today is by immigrants, but perhaps the local lads are also learning and being influenced by these newcomers who had a rough life in their childhoods?
I can not see why the authorities don't simply put ALL immigrants/refugees on a 5 to 10 year "watch list", where if there is ANY crime by ANY member of the family, the entire family is immediately deported. The family can keep the young ones in check.
Simple solution.

From the various articles on this subject, it seems the pump guy refused to pump petrol unless the falang removed the filling cap by himself. Strange, never seen this happen in Thailand before, maybe I should get out and around more?

I see both of these foreigners kicked in the head multiple times, and hard enough to easily cause brain damage, coma or death, IMO.
Why do I keep reading about "one" foreigner being kicked? They both got it in the head numerous times, especially when they were down!

Inquire at LH (Land & Housing) Bank.
In some recent research, they had the lowest interest rates, and other factors that made them easier to deal with.

I wasn't aware, but TBH I did not check. Just was a little frustrated, because I thought finally, a topic that can be of help to me, but there was not a single recommendation to be seen, only that message about "PM"!
Sorry.
