The "genius" behind cryptocurrency is that they make a pre-stated strict limit on the amount of coins that can ever be generated, so it is in some ways, it is similar to other "precious" commodities like gold, etc. There is no way to make more than the initial stated amount. Of-course, it gets more and more difficult to "mine" these coins are more are put into circulation, again, similar to precious metals. Previously, it was scoffed at by the "experts" but now it is proven, over decades. I doubt the valuable coins such as bitcoin will ever lose their value, even if some countries declare them illegal or whatever, there will always be a market.

Fully Electric Songthaews to be Trialled in Pattaya
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Perhaps they could consider putting SIGNS on them, showing their route? Or is every tourist supposed to know all baht bus routes immediately upon arrival, magically? Idiots. -
Oh, my Lord, the amount of curses these people have gathered thus far, will surely ensure their presence in hell for eternity. Simply unbelievable what they are doing, and why, and where. Defies belief, honestly!

Any recommendations on Condos in Ban Chang
CanadaSam replied to Sametboy2019's topic in Eastern Thailand
You would be surprised at the amount of fairly decent places available in Ban Chang, quite close to the main Lotus Supermarket on Sukhumvit, for prices like 2,000 to 4,000 per month! Unfortunately, they are simply not listed anywhere, especially on the internet, so one would have to drive around the area, and ask around, then call any numbers on signs posted outside these places. -
Well, intelligence, to me, would start with being able to type sentences together, with spaces where they belong. And it does not belong between your last word, and the question mark. IF you had not put that unnecessary space there, it would have read correctly. OK, a little bit of my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder showing there....

Well, the girlfriend and daughter wanted to travel to central Pattaya to see "6000" american "army" guys (I suppose Thai news) and instead I took them for a drive on Jomtien beach, where we were behind a songteow with some fairly obvious american sailors with open bottles enjoying Thailand. Restrictions? I think not!

What do you think about Russians fleeing to Thailand?

Put yourself in their shoes, die in the mud, or relax with a drink on a sunny beach. No-brainer. -
Just guessing, but I think a wise move on the the company's part, in case the government suddenly decides to restrict pot for casual use (as they have been indicating lately) it gives the company a method to continue to supply members from an undisclosed location. Pure speculation, but it's what I would do if I owned the company.

Least Money in Bank.

To be on the safe side, leave a few thousand in your account(s), but please do use a small amount every month or two, even on a very small online transaction, so you don't face difficulties! -
Already ordered one from Lazada, not one of the cheaper models. Thanks for your input!

Swiss Expat Critically Injured in Scooter-Car Crash in Pattaya
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Well, yes, have travelled this road many times, and ALL sensible drivers SLOW or STOP to make sure it is clear to proceed through this intersection, NOBODY drives through this intersection without doing that, EXCEPT this one lady, who probably did not even notice that the guy next to her WAS stopped to let the swiss guy through, non-existant driving skills for Thailand, IMHO! -

Wise to Krungthai
CanadaSam replied to Gecko's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Actually, that is a good question! Because I have a guy who wants to send me money from the UK and I told him to send it via Wise and he says he does not have Wise! So, anybody with experience, can please explain how a guy without Wise can send money via Wise to a guy who has Wise? Second question for the expert, is that my Wise USD account has a bank account number in the USA, and the routing codes, their address, etc., but NO BANK NAME! What bank name would somebody have to choose, to send money to my Wise USD account in the states? Thanks for the help! -

PM unveils plans to build world's tallest building (video)
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Must make a note to not live anywhere in the vicinity where it could (will) fall like all their bridges, rapid transit supports, etc. etc. And perhaps somebody should educate the PM that NOTHING is built in Dubai or the Emirates without Western (mostly European) technology, period! So, his asking for "middle eastern" expertise is kindof ridiculous, because it simply doesn't exist!
