  1. Just another thai road law that they don't seem to care about. Pull over and give way to emergency vehicles If the police actually read the road laws and enforced them, instead of playing games on thier phones, it would be a safer place for everyone.
  2. The old Brake Failure routine.. You have to seriously question the driving ability of the people in control of these vehicles. You can't constantly use air brakes on these oversized buses. You have to use gears and engine retarders where fitted. The driving skills lack of, seriously concerns me.
  3. Just checking the size of your package. Err I mean wallet. 555
  4. Does it sit behind a desk. Play phone games. And Accept tea money..
  5. A tradition dating back to Greek times. Nothing new here...lol. In Greek, "fakelaki" (φακελάκι) literally means "little envelope". However, it's also a term used in Greek popular culture to describe the practice of offering bribes, often in small envelopes of cash, to expedite services or secure favors.
  6. Put an end to "you want extra". Or special massage. Let's face it, there's an abundance of physiotherapy places available. Even public hospital offers for 240 a session. I put it in the same context as "no prostitution in Thailand " Just another knee jerk. (Or knee tremble lol)
  7. Usual no action from the BIB. 250,000 active (well sort of) officers. Plus tourist police (you don't see them these days). You don't see them at night unless they are out looking for tea money. Tucked up in bed. Get them out walking around and possibly creating a visual deterrent. Give then all infringement notice pads and do thier jobs. Its getting worse.
  8. Its the dangly bits. Co*ks in frocks. Neuter them like fighting Tom cats. That quietens them down.
  9. Pay as you go system. Like many religions.
  10. Err. Isn't that disrespectful? The tattooist should know that. But you see plenty of them.
  11. Interesting take on the situation. It was a foreign person chased. But no mention of the person chasing them!! Could it be they were Thai? But don't want to create a wrong impression..
  12. They need Lazada to do thier systems. Works great for me (Lazada) lol
  13. So 50% were not recorded correctly.? Probably explains why I was pulled up last entry. Asked if I had another name. A middle name (James) He was a person of interest they explain to me. Not a nice person they say. I convinced them I wasn't him And actually a nice person lol. But about 15 minutes to sort out.
  14. Show me the money and disregard the additional drunks and DIU..
  15. They are selective who they go with lol. If at all. They get a few baht extra money than normal staff. But anywhere where the mentality says... "Just a fc*k for money. Not mean anything." Its not a perfect recipe of a harmonious life.
  16. All under the eyes of RTP. Looking for thier next tea money.
  17. About 50% do it that way. Many with immigration officials help. And a wad of the folding stuff. As several Immigration officers say. "Without farang have no job".
  18. And especially when certain immigration officials are actively engaged and promote using banks like Bangkok bank, where accounts can be readily opened for a fee. Normally around 4900 baht. When immigration laws clearly state any commercial bank can be used. Jomtien immigration for example. Buriram immigration is ok with kasikorn bank. No requirement to open Bangkok bank account.
  19. But mine was different. She was cashier...
  20. Depending on the size of your wallet. Speaking from experience. Amazing how things get sorted out when you get in that office on the 2nd floor.
  21. Seems the Sinsod is still a factor more and more. Most farang seem attracted to a pre used pre married and a few kids from previous relationships. You throw the bundles of baht in the plate with expectations that it's just for show, and then family have already made plans for spending it. Day one marriage. Day two divorce.
  22. Just what we need. More drunken drivers...
  23. I got one the other day. 128 in a 90 zone. Buriram road. (Its impossible to speed because of the condition of the roads) Absolutely rubbish. And 500 baht fine. But I see that any tickets issued in the last 3 years are deemed invalid. Because no right to appeal printed on them.
  24. And tickets issued in the last 3 years are deemed unlawful. Because there's no right to appeal printed on them.
