  1. how do you play a "bajo" ?

    With 11 fingers and 10 toes..??? :o:D:D

possibly in a horizontal position? :D:D

Oh dear they're at it again. Customers who visit our humble establishment every five years, have got more to saty about it than those who come every day. :D

  2. Thread was closed on this forum; ad is already posted in Commercial Ads. But, upon request, it is reopened. Enjoy.

Thanks for re-opening Blondie. If there are any interested parties in this topic please watch this space for dates and venues.

  3. Great night was had by all. About 25 Thai Visa members made it to the bash, including Jai Dee, Kurgen, Jayenram, Thaddeus, GEAussie,Bergen,Cent, George, Pnustadt, Lampard(of course) with Bronco (Australia) & Totster (UK) providing the coverage via the web-cam. ( please excuse me for those I left out, as I'm still not sure of everyones TV name) Highlight of the evening though was Yorky NOT falling over. There was a row of seats reserved for this usual spectacle, but the lad denied us this time round. A couple of new TV members left a bit disgruntled, and staggered off muttering in the general direction of Soi Kola.

Yorky gave Kurgen some right stick when he left at around 10, but as soon as he was out of sight, the York threw the towel in himself and retired.

  4. [, there are only four people in the world who call me Mossy,

One is my aunty and she is in Ireland, another is my little cousin and she is in Ireland too, a third is an American girl and I havn't seen her in some time and the fourth is a good friend of mine and he only calls me Mossy when he is makiing a point at what I have said or done.

So, just curious, are you making a point of something I don't fully understand or just being familliar.

Mossfinn is your TV name, so really there is no reason in the world that should be your real name. Mossy is just a TV type abbrieviation. Sometimes they lengthen them. Lampard is not my real name, but then neither is lampstandard, lampshade, shady, or sometimes <deleted>. :o Personally with mossy you got away quite lucky :D

  5. Don't think I'm being patriotik please,as I am a friend of his, but I think the best t bone I have eaten in Thailand is at the Farang Connection in Surin. A 500gm Charoloi t bonesteak, with salad starter, garlic bread, glass of red wine is only 550 baht. Look out for the 250gm Argentinian Sirloin as well at 350 baht. I believe most of the steaks there come from Yorkies in Pattaya.

Hi Jarno........................................not seen you for a bit. How do you know I have not changed my supplier? No, you're right of course. Our T-bones ( and the rest except Argentine) come from Yorkies. Argentine steaks come from Belucky. Looking at the price of steaks in BKK I might have to hoik my prices up a bit, although at the moment 350 for a steak is far to much for my locals. They know a little Thai place in town where you can get shoe leather for only 70 baht a throw.

  6. We have two seats available from Pattaya to Surin on Saturday 29th July. Leave from Friendship Supermarket between 13.00 & 14.00 arrive Surin around 20.00. Cost 750 pp. PM me, or call FC.

  7. How many farangs live in Surin?

Are most of the farangs I see when I go there just visiting during their yearly holiday?

Is the Farang Connection the farang owned bar in town?

I've got a local (100km radius) customer base of just over 1000. According to my guest book. There are about 3,000 farangs living within that radius ( so 2,000 hav'nt been or never heard of me)although the total number of different guests that have signed in, in three years is over 3,000.

  8. They definately have Robinsons squash at Central Chitlom!

Good work that man :D Can you give me precise directions to where it is located exactly, and in which shop? :D Now i have a ready supply, beers on me farty. You going to come up to lampys the same time as us?

Lampy do you want anything else, apart from birds custard and robinsons? It has to be lightweight though, so maybe your years supply of beer will fit in my carry on :o:D

    No , I don't think so..............just received a shipment. Thanks anyway :D

  9. Traveling through Esaan, as i have been doing for over 35yrs, i decided to do my visa at the relatively new checkpoint at Chom Chong. Pleasant enough experience with unusually nice immigration staff. On route back to Bangkok passed another new addition to this area; just before entering Prasat on the left there's a new bar called " Dirty Dan's " nice guy with a lovely wife who is at present with child. I had a real good cup of coffee and a natter, try it next time you're on the" Run ". Stayed overnite' as we often do, in Surin at a very good new hotel called the Majesti near to the bus station; that evening i asked a tuk tuk driver to show us some farang bars and after visiting some usual over priced and laim farang places we finished up in a bar near the exit road to Buri Ram, again quite a new place but offering good food/ drink at realistic prices for Thailand. They had a " killer Pool " game going on as apparently they do every Friday and we met about 10-12 guys who have formed there own motor cycle club, some have modern bikes but also we were amazed at some of the old Triumphs and BSA's that have been renovated by young Thai enthusiasts, BRILLIANT ! Even if your not into motorcycles this was one of the friendliest, fun farang bars we have found on this trip, run by a fellow Dave and his wife Oiy

35 years, and only just joined Thai Visa? I do not no where the Tuk Tuk driver took you. There are only two Farang places in Surin still open. The Farang Connection (which you would no anyway posting here) and the Sugar Cane Bistro, where you ended up. You couldn't have gone to the Farang Connection, one because it's so near the Majestic and two because their beer is very reasonable (55 for a large Chang) So that's a strange one.

You're right Jari, he didn't come here. We had no new customers on Friday. Can't think of where the driver TUK him. The Sugar Canes OK. Daves a nice guy. I send a few people up to him. Thought he was closed at the moment though. I also tell my customers about Danny's place in Prasat. Didn't know it was called Dirty Dans though.

  10. For Sunday lunch this week we will be having

Sorry.......................It's the best picture of a piece of rump I could find :o

  11. I have lived and travelled to many destinations throughout Thailand over the years. Here's the real scoop: Thailand is hot in every season and everywhere. Take it with a grain of salt when someone says a certain city or region has cool weather. For instance, right now it is the cold season.

What a load of rubbish...........right now is theend of the really hot season before the rains start. Here in Surin it has been up to 45. Compare that with Jan 2nd this year, when the temp dropped to around 8 degrees in the evening. I had to bring blankets down to the people watching Chelsea-Arsenal on TV. The coldest in Surin this Jan was around 6 degrees early morning, and some times it did not go over 13 in the day.

More than a few people reckon our little town is the hottest, coldest, wettest & windiest place in Thailand. After all this area is on a plateau and we do seem to get the extemes of all weather conitions

  12. i think you have all missed the point of the bashers , be they pattaya bashers , koh samui bashers , or thailand bashers , and that is the fun to be had by the bashers during the bashing process at the expense of the defenders , i.e. the bashees

it has got nothing to do with the supposed object of the bashing etc., but all to do with the fun of the wind up and the leading on of the aggrieved inhabitants of the region under siege.

Try putting that one in bloody rhyme :o
