  1. I will check later as travelling but I am sure I saw a red star for mandotory on the website. New system website. Cheers
  2. Thanks I changed it to check out date, which is a required field in the online report. I used the wrong term with end date
  3. I found an old thread and went through a few threads here, but cannot find a definitive answer that immigration have given for what to enter here. I will shortly be changing to use my wife's condo address for which she has set up the online ownership part, so just have that one question. I am sure I am missing something, but if anyone could answer that, it would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks. Useful information. Re taxes I meant to do with moving the money.
  5. Yes I am aware of that and the money will be a gift to my wife. And thank you for the information.
  6. I couldn't find any up to date info on here about bank transfer of several tens of thousands of pounds to Thailand, so I wonder if anyone can hlep. I am looking at transferring around 45K GBP to wife for some real estate at a good price that has come up. I have a few questions: 1. Is it best to transfer direct from my UK account to hers or direct to my Thai account and then to her? 2. Are there any current rules on amounts or paperwork? 3. Are there any taxes involves? 4. Do I just declare transfer is for wife to purchase real estate? All replies will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  7. To be honest I am neither asking for investment advice, or looking at it as an investment but a place for us to use. I have decades of renting in Thailand and have my own reasons for wanting to go this way. Anyway, do you have a recommendation for an agency?
  8. Ooops yes. It seems I left out the important info - for purchase of a condo lower end as a holiday place
  9. Does anyone recommend any real estate agents in Pattaya? Any positive recommendations would be appreciated. So thanks in advance.
  10. Thanks for that informative reply. It has helped me a lot. Appreciated.
  11. I hope I have not missed this comparison before, but not a lot of time today. If so, apologies but... Just a quick question about a choice of two health insurances: 1. Pacific Cross Maxima Inpatient 2. April My Health Basic (French not Thai provider) I am coming to the renewal time on PC Maxima and thought as I will shortly be 61, I should look at any better alternatives. The two levels of cover look similar to me and are both enough for my outside BKK needs. While through the 60s the prices are close, it seems from the information I can get that the premiums of PC from 70 up to 80 jump a lot and it becomes increasingly more expensive than April. This concerns me, and if I need to make a change I wonder if it would be better now or later. I have no claim and am fit, healthy and have no pre-conditions. Has anyone else noticed this? And any advice, would be appreciated. Thanks
  12. As said above there are not many houses with their own pool available in Bangsaen. The housing market in the main drag of Bangsaen around Between Sukhumvit, the beach, Long Haad Road and Laem Than has very limited houses. Outside this area though are many moobahns some with communal swimming pools. You can either drive around and ask the security at each one or try the Thai real estate websites. I am not sur eif sharing their names is allowed on here but they are found with easy browser searches. Then go look for Chionburi/Maung/Saensuk Good luck. Its reasonable area to live.
  13. I changed TM30 in February and now my first 90 days is due. Can I do this first one online or is a visit best? Thanks in advance for any replies
  14. I am just coming about to purchase some health insurance that I would like to keep until my demise! I have been looking at Pacific Cross premier and LMG equivalent plans, but a broker also mentioned the fixed deductible long stay visa options by Axa and LMG. I do not need these for visa purposes. However, the total cover on these plans is significantly higher than the the similarly priced standard plans. I wondered if anyone in this community has any experience or knowledge in whether the long stay visa plans or the standard plans would be best? I am 60 and in good health with no pre-existing conditions and really only need insurance covering Thailand. Thanks in advance for any comments or advice.
  15. I do not mean Central Group but Central Thailand the location is more convenient. Thanks for the reply
  16. I hope this is the best forum for this subject. I have an old Rodana watch that was my fathers, so it has emotional value. It is over 80 years old. Right now it needs to be refurbished - not working and the band and crystal could do with a change too. I spoke with Rodania in Switzerland and they advised me to find a quality local shop as there are no longer parts made and nobody could guarantee what would be expensive work. So I wonder if anyone has experience of something similar or could recommend someone. I am not too bothered where in Thailand although Central Thailand is most convenient. I am also not looking for the cheapest, but for good workmanship. Thanks in advance for any help.
  17. Thanks for that help. A bit off original topic but are flights out of Thailand asked for on return? Dont want to spam the board up with more new topics!
  18. Any confirmation on what exactly proof certified by a health agency is? Vax passport or the certificate from the hospital?
  19. I have to do a trip to Laos by land (Vientiane). A quick question. I could not find a definitive answer. Do Laos border immigration check vaccination status for Covid, and if so what document is required to enter? Thanks
