According to sky news, the plane encountered severe turbulence over Myanmar and dropped 6,000 feet. A 73 year old male passenger died of apparent heart attack and many passengers not wearing seat belts were thrown into the air, hitting the ceiling. The plane made an emergency landing in Bkk where ambulances were waiting to take injured to hospital.

It appears the lady lived alone. Didn't the maid live-in? Seems not, the article says she was informed the next day. So she didn't discover the body, then who did? If maid/friend for 17 years, why didn't she live in when her boss had cancer? How did the lady have a gun? A lot of unanswered questions.

General Surachet has informed the press that he has instructed Major General Songprod Sirisukkha, the Immigration Region 6 Commander, to cancel the visas of the two New Zealand men in question and prohibit their entry into Thailand in the future.

 

The Chalong Police Chief, Colonel Eakkarat Plaiduang, revealed that these two individuals are currently being taken to the Phuket Provincial Court today (March 18th).

 

The two suspects are facing charges related to robbery, assaulting or resisting an officer on duty, and driving without a valid license. Despite allegedly attempting to bribe the police to avoid further charges, their efforts were unsuccessful.

 

Additionally, the New Zealand embassy has been notified of the situation.

Thais aren't getting special treatment here, South Koreans are racist against many nationalities. When I lived in Japan, many of my western friends visited SK with Japanese girlfriends and complained about their racist attitude,

That would imply there are no immigration facilities at the new terminal; that you still have to clear immigration at the main terminal. 

Immigration time varies with your arrival time. I usually arrive from the Philippines around 5pm; no sweat. But last year my flight on PAL, needless to say, was delayed 5 hours, meaning we arrived along with many flights from Europe. It took one and a half hours just to clear immigration. Incidentally, as a 77 year old, standing around for that length of time is no joke.

Really, you do surprise me. Filipinos are every bit as superstitious as Thais. I rented out a house to a Korean family in Manila. The father and family went to Korea, leaving his brother behind. The brother hung himself from the railings on the upper floor hallway. I couldn't rent it out till I had a priest hold a blessing/party inviting any neighbours who may gossip to prospective tenants.

I was wondering what this noisy bar steward was. I have one that comes very close to my window. It seems to be always there, sure it's migratory? And it calls all day and all night. Don't they ever sleep?

I was in Manilla staying at this hotel and 2 young Americans were having a great time, then I didn't see them for about a week, then They came in one morning and quickly left.

Seems they met some girls at the local Mac cafe.

2 am in the morning so said non-uniform, gun toting undercover police took them out of the hotel and kept them for ransom because the girls from the Mac cafe were underage.

They had to withdraw money from their ATM for the police then off to the airport. 

Boy were they scared.
