OK, my wife #1 is really becoming a football fan and she loves manchester united, as do i. she said that everytime wayne rooney scores a goal i have to give her 1000 baht, and i said ok, but if the opposing team scores you have to perform a certain act for me - which i think its a fair agreement. however, that is not here or there.
the problem is that she wants me to take her to a football game in england. she is 19 years old and we just got her a passport. i am 59 years old and american, very young though. She is demanding that we go and see manchester united live in the stadium, but i am SCARED OUT OF MIND that we will be assaulted by hooligans because they hate thai and americans and they might try to kill me and kipnap her and keep her hostage.
i am looking for the most rational solution.

Hello,
I find that I am often bored and I would like to do some volunteer work in Bangkok if anyone has any good site links let me know. I would be willing to do stuff like visit a school everyweek for a few hours and teach english (as i understand many schools dont have a native speaker) or really anything.
Thanks.

What do you mean you cant get a visa to stay in thailand? why dont you just go to hong kong, vietnam, laos, singapore every 90 days? if you cant afford to make this quarterly trip for a tourist visa then maybe you cant afford to buy a condominium either...
some of you guys are just so strange.... you buy 2 condos in thailand, but cant figure out what i wrote above so you are back in ireland? makes Zero sense.

I believe there is/will be a glut of condominium units, BUT, that glut will be the overpriced 90,000 baht per square meter and up units. If the country were perfectly stable and there were no visa problems, I would NEVER even consider ANY unit priced over 3 million baht. The fact is that affordable shoe box sized units are WAY over priced at about 1.4 million baht. Those same units were selling for 350,000 - 400,000 baht just 4 years ago. Construction materials have gone up but not that much.
I just want to make one opinion/statement. The condominiums that are located very close to the BTS in bangkok will not be left unsold or unoccupided. there is a very high demand for these properties. many of you seem to be commenting on the sidelines. i recently moved and let me tell you that if you want a location in 5 minutes walking distance to the bts that you will have a hard time finding it. there are not alot of vacant rooms, to rent or buy.
it seems much more likely that any big fall in the market will come in tourist regions outside of bangkok.

I always figured the rumors about them were purely to promote natalie and keep her name running in the thai press so she could continue to do advertising in thailand.
This guy must really be a very good ladies man, for a Mrs. Universe to marry him. There must be CEOS, celebrities, and billionaires lining up to hit it.
Honestly, if someone wants to offer me odds that they will NOT get married, I will take that bet.

I am not going to bring it up because its her 19th birthday and we just celebrated by 59th birthday and its been really good moods lately and we are soul mates. i will try to wait and see if i can due with out the mia nois, but since its thai culture, i dont see what the big deal is... why should only the thai males be allowed them? this is my first marriage and soul mate so maybe i am a fish out of water.
