  1. Vaccinated people are less likely to spread the virus. Thus unvaccinated people pose a higher risk to society. Correct, we don't inject people against their will. But what we as society do, is putting people who we think pose a high risk to harm other people in our society into a forensic psychiatric hospital or similar institution.
  2. Just speculation from me, but when looking at all the modifications, decorations, etc. on many trucks, I would assume that most trucks are actually owned by the drivers and they aren't employees. I don't understand though why the drivers don't just demand more money from the companies that employ them, instead of hoping for government handouts. If all the drivers would demand 10% more or whatever, there is nothing that the companies can do, but pay.
  3. What is confusing? They basically(*) give an automatic extension until 31st December (If you already have an extension exceeding this, you can ignore this announcement). If you don't apply for an extension after this, but stay in the country, on 1st January you will be on overstay. *I say "basically" because at least last time, Immigration didn't treat it like a regular extension, but more like an "amnesty", which is probably why it was given this name by English speakers. If it were a regular extension, and for example, you currently have a retirement extension to 15th December, and you apply for a new retirement extension, this retirement extension should start on the 31st. But that's not how they did it the last time, and this time they will probably still not do it like that.
  4. That unvaccinated people will be shut out of the social life was easy to predict. So anybody who wants to join the social life should have put some effort in getting vaccinated. I think the number of people who wanted to get vaccinated but just couldn't is very small, and these still have the option to present a test. Just wait 2 or 3 more months, wouldn't surprise me if by then you can only enter a mall or eat at restaurants if you are vaccinated.
  5. He got his second dose in July, and now 4 months later he is losing the hair? Maybe the hair loss is caused by something else? But I guess blaming it on a vaccine gets more attention.
  6. A while ago there was some news similar to that, I think it was the Phuket sandbox. If I remember correctly, back then Thai authorities seperated the child, but after complaints they allowed one of the parents to stay with the child. But don't forget to take the financial consequences into account. The parent who decides to stay with the child will probably admitted to the hospital with the child, but because you don't have Covid insurance won't pay, so could easily be 200k out of your own pocket. If you then catch Covid after voluntarily staying with your Covid positive child, Insurance would probably also refuse to pay, so that would be another few hundred thousand at least.
  7. The Thailand Pass website only says "Insurance minimum 50k", nothing special about Covid, so imho your policy should be ok. But to be 100% certain you will have to try.
  8. Does your friend have a rental contract? Then your friend can do the TM30 for you.
  9. Sounds like an IO making up his/her own rules. Just going on another day might solve this problem.
  10. Two weeks ago there was AZ+Pfizer walk-in at several locations in CM for everybody. I didn't see any report of anybody being turned away. Why didn't you take your wife there instead of complaining?
  11. 26th November is currently the last day to apply.
  12. My personal "translation" (I did obviously shorten it a lot, and focused on the important bits) of the Cabinet posting point 3: Don't blame me if it's wrong, and feel free to correct me.
  13. Yes, you should, or they want you to buy 3.5 months of insurance. No, it's not. The question would have to be answered by immigration, because what we don't know for certain is how IOs handle it if the duration of the insurance is shorter than the remaining period of stay on a re-entry permit. Will IOs stamp in people always for the full duration (that's how it looks right now according to reports, but we don't have many), or might IOs stamp people in only as long as the insurance is valid? Good luck getting a straight answer out of immigration...
  14. Your visa (it's an extension, not a visa), isn't "tied" to any location.
  15. Your husband just needs to do a TM30 for you staying at his house, then the letter from immigration in NST will show this address.
  16. Peace of mind knowing to be able to stay until end of January vs. 1900THB and some time at immigration I would opt for peace of mind
  17. As speculated in other topics, it looks like an amnesty for extensions and 90 day reports is coming, see point 3 (it's in Thai) from the last cabinet meeting: https://www.thaigov.go.th/news/contents/details/48308 It has to be published in the royal gazette to be official and legally binding, this hasn't happened yet
  18. You will get the Thailand Pass. What we don't know for certain though is what immigration does. But according to the report of "poorsucker" in my topic, immigration doesn't care about insurance stuff.
  19. She could try creams with Thiamidol, for example: https://www.eucerin.co.th/skin-concerns/uneven-skin/thiamidol
  20. They don't ask for a return ticket, it's completely up to you what you write on the Thailand Pass application as length of stay.
