  1. You just have to understand that on the TM30 there is the person that does the report, and then there is the foreigner for whom the notification is done. In your case you are in both persons, which is why you put all your data twice on it.
  2. In my girlfriend's house is a windows connecting two rooms. We don't want this windows anymore, on the one side is a wardrobe placed in front anyway. My plan is to leave the window where it is, and simply fill the offset to the wall (50mm) with maybe some kind of mineral wool, screw a sheet of chipboard, OSB or Multiplex over it and use it as a kind of pinboard. Two questions: Which easily available material (preferably at Global House) is the best material for sound proofing? Should come in 50mm thickness. Does Global House (or another shop) offer cutting a sheet of chipboard or OSB or Multiplex to specs? I need about 150x100cm.
  3. That's how it should be, anything else would be strange. You do of course get way better speed from a local server, than from one on the other side of the world. What speed do you get if you manually select the AIS Nonthaburi server in the speed test when you have a problem viewing?
  4. I would do it properly and install a cable, wifi is often not really stable within a house, over such a distance it's probably just a pain in the ass.
  5. Why don't you just manually select AIS Nonthaburi on the speed test? And also what exactly is your problem?
  6. Assuming that you are using some kind of visa/extension and aren't a permanent resident: I guess for the old condo you had a blue book, but you weren't registered as resident in it. For your new condo you should also be able to get a blue book, even though you can't be registered in it. Actually you should have gotten the blue book from the seller. If you want to be registered as resident at your condo, this would be done in a yellow book.
  7. Then you could do the TM30 yourself and then do the 90 day report.
  8. You could also safe the 2000 baht and just do it at Samui, you just need the TM30 receipt from your hotel.
  9. What's the problem with some random sunscreen bought in for example watsons or boots? The last one that I bought is this one: https://www.watsons.co.th/เค.เอ.-ยูวี-เอ็กซ์ตรีม-โพรเทคชั่น-สเปรย์-เอสพีเอฟ50-พีเอ-200-มล./p/BP_279039 Didn't get a surburn even though spending quite some time in the sun, so it worked as expected.
  10. If your work permit has an address on it you can also just use a copy of this instead, no need to get a residence certificate from immigration. If it doesn't have an address (or is a digital work permit) then attend immigration as the other posters explained, bring your rental contract and TM30 receipt.
  11. There is no such thing as a residence visa. Assuming you have a one year extension of stay, for whatever reason, you can apply for the extension up to 30 days early (some immigration offices 45 days), the extension will start from the day your current extension ends, you don't lose any days.
  12. Doesn't matter at which type of accomodiation you stay. I would say usually they ask for the TM30 receipt, but sometimes they just don't. I think if they don't ask it's not because you stay at a hotel or some other place, but more likely because some IOs don't care about the TM30, might also vary by day.
  13. We often read from people who have a problem, not even caused by them, and then have trouble to get any kind of customer service, to get a refund or similar. This weekend I got quite surprised and wanted to share it. A few weeks ago my girlfriend planned a trip for us and some family members to Koh Larn, booked two rooms at a hotel/resort there, 4k THB total cost, transfered it to their bank account in advance and the booking was confirmed by them through Facebook. When we arrived in Koh Larn, to our surprise we were told that the rooms are already full. My girlfriend showed them the chat where they confirmed the booking, and at this point it was at least clear that it was their fault, the person who confirmed it in Facebook forgot to book it into their booking system. While we were waiting for them to analyze the situation I did of course already go through the various possible outcomes, my expectations for the outcome were one of these: - We can't stay there because they are full, and because the owner/manager isn't there they also can't return the money now - They return the money, but we are left alone to find another place to stay - Return money and help us to find a place A little while later, it turned out that the guy at the reception was actually the owner or manager. He directly returned the money 4k THB in cash and said sorry many times. Then he showed us some pictures of another place where we could stay, he had already confirmed that they still have free rooms. I checked the other place on Google, not as nice as his place, but looked ok, and 1.5k per room per night, so a bit cheaper. So we agreed with this place, and he offered to take us there. Obviously everybody's mood was a bit dampened, but I thought it did at least go relatively well for Thailand standards, was also solved quite quickly. He drives us over to the other hotel with his shuttle vehicle, and we are checking in there, he is still with us at the reception at the other hotel. It's time to pay and they ask for the 3k THB. And now a very big surprise, the owner/manager says that he will pay it for us, because of the trouble he caused for us, so he did. This really surprised me, this was obviously not on my "expected outcomes" list. In contrast to the usual complaints about customer service situations, do you have any stories to share which surprised you positively?
  14. Probably because he plans to stay only for 19 days.
  15. There ist no limit if entering by plane
  16. It the car is less than 7 years old you can pay at 7/11 (you need a Thai ID card so they can put it in their card reader, can be of any Thai person) Nobody cares about the address, there is no need to change it.
  17. The second one should be optional. Somebody who got vaccinated with J&J would also only have one.
  18. I'm obviously no mod, so just my personal opinion: Blur their faces, then it should be ok to post it.
  19. Some of them surprisingly do. So I agree with the other poster, you will probably get some tickets in the mail, 500THB per ticket.
  20. I think standard practice is to separate them. Maybe you can join him on request, but you would then have to pay it out of your own pocket. If you catch covid while voluntarily staying with an infected person your insurance would probably not pay. So if you are ready to pay a few hundred thousand you might be able to stay with him.
  21. It's an HJC RPHA11 helmet, they come in various designs, and there are probably many of those helmets sold in Thailand, all have the same vents. But the one from OP comes in a special color version, which is the distinguishable feature.
  22. Probably because the owner's are usually not the ones facing the consequences. Why are the tanents so lazy to report TM30?
