  1. Yes, currently nobody in Thailand is forced to get vaccinated, also foreigners not.
  2. Looks like it's also APR So 2.5% in Thailand vs 0.55*12=6.6% in Laos. Or real interest rate 5% Thailand vs 13.2% Laos.
  3. Maybe you have to file a police report for the missing blue book. Will of course depend on the land office.
  4. 0.55% per month? Is this the real interest rate or APR? In Thailand they usually state APR, so your 2.5% is actually 5% real interest rate.
  5. In the tourist provinces, of which PKK is one, everybody who wants should be vaccinated already, or can get vaccinated now. So the only unvaccinated people are the ones who don't want to get vaccinated or are too lazy.
  6. Yes, within 24 hours of residing at the property. One can sign a contract starting today, and move in next month, then the TM30 would be due next month.
  7. They are not actually lending it against the vehicle, because what are they going to do if you don't pay them, steal the vehicle from the finance company? They are lending money against thin air, and the only threat they have is to beat you up if you don't pay, that's why they charge 5-10% interest per month.
  8. No, you can't get finance on a car that's on finance, because the car is owned by the first finance company, you are only renting it. Replace the question with: Is it possible for me to get finance on my neighbour's car? Is it possible to get finance on the car which I rented from Sixt/Avis/Hertz? Obviously not possible.
  9. I always thought only Thais living in villages use these twin tub machines instead an automatic one. What's your reason to prefer this type of washing machine?
  10. You are mistaken, the 16 or 12 weeks is only if both shots are AZ
  11. Post doesn't allow to send money. If you aren't willing to lie I guess you have to drive to the embassy yourself.
  12. The landlord is wrong, probably just too lazy to do it.
  13. I'm willing to learn. So please quote the law which somebody who doesn't pay a hotel bill is violating and which would get him put into jail and deported.
  14. Should be a civil case, so no deportation or jail
  15. In the USA everything medical related is a ripoff, that's no secret. Stuff like crowns, inlays etc. in Thailand cost more than in Germany, just way overpriced here considering that most of the cost is for labor and labor is so much cheaper here, so this is stuff I get done when I'm in Germany.
  16. I don't think that there is a fixed rate, it probably depends on the hotel.
  17. This means they are relatively expensive (compared to other dentists in Thailand). There are usually two kinds of business models in Thai clinics: - Charge a lot, and make a living from three patients a day - Be cheap and have customers queuing The dentist to which I normally go belongs in the second category, and usually I need to wait a week or so for an appointment.
  18. You can go on Monday without being fined, on Tuesday you would be fined for two days overstay.
  19. No, fines were lowered last year or so. For example before it was 500 for no license, now it's only 200.
  20. After thinking about it for a while I might have an idea why it is at it is, this is of course speculation, but imho the only that somehow makes sense: The driver of the Benz said that she alone was at fault for causing the accident. This would then mean that the insurance company of the Benz driver would have to pay 2.5 million baht to the victim's family. The insurance company is now claiming that the Benz driver wasn't actually alone at fault, but the girl on the bike is to blame as well, in this case they wouldn't have to pay 2.5 million baht. So now they are suing the Benz driver for making a false statement, maybe with the motive to get a backhander from the victim's family.
  21. Now that Chiang Mai is vaccinating everybody who wants with double Pfizer, it will be difficult to deal with Moderna.
  22. We are talking about a visa here, applied for at an embassy or consulate outside of Thailand, not an extension
