This morning, I went to see my doctor for my 4 monthly blood test. The last time I visited her was back in May when she and her staff were fully vaccinated with two doses of Sinovac. In july, the doctor, her family (inclduding her 18 months yr old daughter) and also the staff all went down with covid-19. Fortunately, they have all now recovered and received an AZ booster, not Pfizer as I would have thought.

Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs refutes accusations of international vaccine non-cooperation The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Spokesperson has denied Thailand has refused COVID-19 vaccine cooperation with other countries, insisting that all its efforts are in the national interest. Tanee Sangrat, Foreign Affairs spokesperson and Director-General of the Department of Information, says the allegations are unfounded in any way as the department does everything possible for Thais, and foreigners residing in Thailand, to ensure access to the vaccine as soon as possible, including facilitating an exchange of vaccines and receiving vaccine assistance from allied countries. https://www.pattayamail.com/thailandnews/thailands-ministry-of-foreign-affairs-refutes-accusations-of-international-vaccine-non-cooperation-371256 -

New emergency law planned as official says half the people in Bangkok may have contracted COVID The Thai Council of State is currently reviewing a draft public health emergency law which will come to parliament in November to replace the Emergency Decree which is due to be rescinded. This may create a new body to replace the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) which may even be larger than the current government unit directing the country’s response to the crisis. https://www.thaiexaminer.com/thai-news-foreigners/2021/09/09/new-emergency-law-planned-to-fight-virus/ -
