Right, same as Yingluck.
Nothing like Yingluck, at all, she had a lot more to lose than Premchai.

"After being left without food, water or sunscreen for three hours..."
Oh, no, they were left without food water or sunscreen for three hours, how did they survive for less than the time we all survive between breakfast and lunch?
Are they admitting that they went on a snorkeling trip with no sunscreen and that they expected the organisers to supply that for them. If it wasn't for the fact that most of this is journalistic garbage dreamt up by the The Shit, sorry The Sun, I'd say that these girls were morons.
-
Wow, they had to swim 10 metres to the beach. What did they expect they'd have to do on a snorkeling trip, stay dry?
Typical embellished crap from the renowned journalistic organ known as The Sun.

Yes, it must have been but then no one except you mentioned rattlesnakes.

No mention of taking any or all of his passports away to stop him flying away.
He is not considered to be a serious flight risk as he has been allowed to travel out of the country during the time that his first case was being heard and he returned. He also returned to the court for the verdict today that his lawyers probably warned him to expect.

Bail and multiple appeals will keep him free for the foreseeable future. Thailand justice; wealth means everything.
Multiple appeals? He can only appeal once to the appellate court and once to the Supreme Court, that's two, hardly what is normally understood to be "multiple".

"Premchai’s lawyer is preparing to seek bail for Premchai, with the bail being set at 600,000 baht"
Any takers he'll be refused bail?
I'd doubt that there would be any takers but, of course, why should it be denied, it's not exactly that much of a serious case, is it?

He could of course do a runner. But that would probably spell the end for his position at his conglomerate. While out on bail and appeal, he'll probably continue pretty much as normal.
"He'll be out on bail before you can blink..."
Why should he not be allowed to request bail if he intends to appeal? That is a common concept worldwide, not just in Thailand, when a case is being appealed. Would you deny him the same basic right that everyone else who is granted bail is allowed?
"While out on bail and appeal, he'll probably continue pretty much as normal".
Why not, that's one of the concepts of bail, isn't it?

I find it interesting that neither Sterling Dunbar nor Phoenix seem to want to defend themselves or produce evidence that they are legitimate, qualified and working legally.

Nope. Neither Sterling Dunbar nor Phoenix Consultants have licenses. Operating an investment firm without a license is against Thai securities law. Any unlicensed individual who sells financial products or gives financial "advice" would also be breaking Thai securities law.
I know that, that was my point that some people choose to ignore.

Is it fair to leave a victim with lost limbs – as well as unborn baby – that succumbed to her injuries soon after, and instead bring a man with a "broken leg" (only) for medical treatment..?
"broken leg" (only)"
TWO broken legs.
"...a victim with lost limbs..."
ONE lost limb (only).
Yes, it is fair that victims, whoever they are, are taken to receive treatment. Would it have been fairer to not provide assistance to the car driver? There is no way that the driver or the people who assisted him, could necessarily have known about the woman's pregnancy.
Had the women been drinking, were they tested?

Have you got a link to where it was reported Vorayuth was seen at the Australian GP?
Regardless, RTP cannot barge into Australia to arrest a Thai who has committed no offences in Australia.

Would it be fair if escaping from an accident equals a punishment like one for intoxicated driving..?
Rationally, would it be fair to not allow a man with broken legs to get medical treatment?

Double standards here....why wasn't the Ferrari driver charged? The Red Bull heir. He was at the F1 race in Australia yesterday, what happened to the Interpol red notice? Why hasn't his passport been cancelled?
Vorayuth HAS been charged, that's why there is an arrest warrant for him! Thai police have no jurisdiction in Australia just as no other police authorities have jurisdiction in Thailand!

What a world we live in.
Porsche =7,000,000 +
Thai funeral contribution, not a "Thai life" = 50,000
You have conveniently omitted to say what the Porsche's insurers will pay.

and this is why we have rule number one for living in Thailand.
Never bring more into the country than you are willing to lose.
Sage, hackneyed, Thaivisa-member's "advice"...but only if someone is that stupid that they're considering doing something that gets them blacklisted by Immigration, otherwise that applies to any country.

As honest as the day is long. Gives good advice and directs investors to invest directly with the recommended funds as Sterling Dunbar, run by Colin Wilson, does not handle any clients' monies. Sterling Dunbar operates under the umbrella of Phoenix Consultants whose office is in BB Building, Asoke.
"Gives good advice..."
It does, does it? What do you base your opinion on?
Sterling Dunbar gives investment advice and then takes indemnity commission up front from the respective investment companies after those companies have received the clients money. That commission comes directly from the investors funds!
"Sterling Dunbar operates under the umbrella of Phoenix Consultants..."
Is Phoenix registered with the SEC in Thailand?

Not true at all. These so called ‘ignorant climate-change proponents’ are trying to make the world we live in a healthy and proper environment for the future generations to live in. How would you like to live in a place where you have to wear masks just to be able to breathe normally? I bet you’re one of those Trump-supporters whom believe global warming is fake.
In which world is it necessary for everyone to wear masks to just breathe normally everywhere due to climate change? Let me help you with that one...not this planet.
"Global warming"? You need to follow what's been going on for the last few years, that expression has not been used for a long, long time by those who know what they are talking about because global warming has been well and truly debunked by the scientific community. "Climate change" hasn't because it's been happening for millions of years and nothing that the feeble human species can do will ever be able to change it.
What has my support, or otherwise, for Donald Trump got to do with anything?

But the people who took the driver to hospital seemingly left two ladies dying on the road.
One lady, not two and perhaps they were being treated by rescue services, does the report say that they weren't? It sure does not say that they were unattended and left to die there, does it?

I responded to the question
With the statement 'because it happens'! And it does.
Incidents that spring to mind of one farang neighbour being hit by an underage Thai riding a motorcycle the wrong way on a dual carriageway. The farang could not get a police report unless he/she paid the kid's hospital bill and was responsible for own damage expenses. Another a car ran into the back of a farang friend, Thai driver and police talked, police embezzled 5000 baht from the scared guy, which the two of them split. Another I just read on another forum, similar. Rammed from behind and having to pay up.
Unfair treatment, it happens, probably a little more than rarely, although I agree 'rarely getting fair treatment' is an exaggeration.
Just for a bit of empirical balance, and no hearsay, my car with my family in it was hit from behind at speed on the Bangkok/Chonburi motorway some years ago by a Thai driver in an old Crown with no brakes and no insurance. The police were involved, I was not stitched-up, neither was I blamed or extorted.

Some can and do. The first one to do so did in 2006.
You're right, of course, but, generally, expat "financial advisers" do not as they cannot. That is not because they, as foreigners, are prevented from doing so by SEC regulations but because they do not meet SEC requirements. That is what I was referring to, with specific reference to the illegally operating Sterling Dunbar.

Point is, it HAS been happening for millions of years, and no one has done anything to stop it. Finally, people actually decide to take action and you call them ‘ignorant’. The planet is still here, you think a whole planet will suddenly disappear ? The earth is billions of years old, and humans have only been on it for a short period of time compared to it. Yet they have already destroyed so much of its landscape.
No one has done anything to stop it because no one can!
I do not think that the "whole planet will disappear", I did not say that it would, precisely the opposite; it's the ignorant climate-change proponents that wrongly claim that the planet is in danger of disappearing due to climate!
