  1. Update on Page 2 replies. First off the message states USB device not recognised. At the same time the ding dong sound. Tried to screen shot it, but failed, it goes so fast. The USB device is unknown, that's the maddening part. Yes Windows 7 32 bit could well be partially responsible. Now for some good news, it started last evening - it stopped. Could be for a multitude of reasons, but here's a few that might be worthy candidates: The USB oblivion app Disabling the USB Root Hub Properties Power Management boxes Then I had the idea, of inserting a memory stick into the USB ports, one at a time, just to see if that stops this message coming Since I tried the second, it has stopped, haven't taken it out to see if it will come back, loathed to, just relishing the peace and quiet. Another separate problem that I was having previously, related or totally unrelated, was that my video card occasionally crashed, and then recovered. To date this also might have been resolved. And thank you to all of those that have tried to help me.
  2. Very good reason, this message is repeating itself all the time, plus the ding dong each time, driving me mad.
  3. Under Device Manager, the attached screen shot is showing. Then in using the app USBOblivion to clean all of this up, it does move it. Only for it to be reinstalled automatically, stating: Unknown device software successfully installed.
  4. That's the infuriating part -Unknown Device.
  5. Thank you, tried many variations on this theme, without success.
  6. Spent a day in trying countless different solutions, to resolve this glitch. If anybody has some solutions, that have been successful in such an extreme case like this, I would be most grateful to hear please. On a PC with Windows 7 32 bit.
  7. Resolved. Took me forever to find, nothing on the net, but unbelievable I worked it out myself, so I gave myself a coconut: Having altered the image to size that you would like to save, first click on Edit. Scroll down until you find - Capture visible window area. Click on it. Now go File, Save as, and there you are - a result.
  8. Be great if somebody knows how to do this please, how can you save a Zoom image in InfanView?
  9. The hinge has to more or less remain in the same position.
  10. Relatively easy, not a lot of pressure.
  11. Thank you to all here, these items are all very similar. But perhaps the devil is in the detail here. Fully extended my present strut support measures 28cm. From the top of the frame, to the half way middle point of the bottom of the strut fitting, it is 245Cm. On Lazada some items are coming up with a reference of say 100N(10kg) for example, no idea what this might mean, and what would be suitable for my door flap? When the prices vary so wildly on Lazada and Shopee, I'm really wondering if these items are like for like.
  12. I have tried all of the usual main sources for a replacement (gas) hinge, all to no avail. Might anyone know of a source, that still stocks and sells this kind of hinge please - see attached?
  13. This is just to confirm the conclusion of my August posting, that on renewing my phone, has indeed resolved Line working on my PC again, even though it's still Windows 7.
  14. Seems like my trusty Windows 7 is coming to the end of its shelf life - Macrium will no longer update as an example. Time to bite the bullet, but hopefully this new version will see me through. Have to purchase a new computer as my present is no longer compatible, coupled with a learning curve not to be sniffed at. So my question, has anyone purchased (not upgraded) Windows 11 in Thailand. And if so, where and how much please?
  15. This Phuket company has proposed the following in the attachment. Any views and comments I would be interested to hear please.
  16. All done and dusted, it was the "unpacking" of this file that was the issue, highlight the top folder, press shift and scroll down, then copy and paste, resolved it. Thank you to everyone who replied.
  17. I have made a lot of progress here, the stated address on the correct red balloon location - see attachment is correct. However the address given in the black box is incorrect. Trying to work out how to change this address, to the correct one please?
  18. I have been asked for these details several times by Thais, what are they referring to please?
  19. Does anyone know the location or phone number, of the mosquito screen company called P Net please?
  20. Thank you for your reply, and taking the trouble, again hopefully I can clarify. The data that I wish to transfer, is currently on a new backup hard drive. I want to transfer this data to another new hard dive, one that I will be using every day. My objective is to have all of the data showing in all the different folders. Currently all the data is in a file, I wish to extract all the folders of this data (many), 464 GB, to the new every day hard drive. So my question is please, how can I do this safely and easily? Now to look at your comments. I attach a copy of my Build No. I have updated Macrium on every occasion. So now having read the above please, following your instructions, this will indeed create and show all the relevant folders, appearing on this new hard drive?
  21. Sorry, I did not make myself clear. At the moment I have a Macrium folder, inside of which is the back up on all of this data. I want to transfer this data to a new hard drive, not whilst inside this Macrium folder. So what I am saying here is, is their an easy way to extract this data, to this new hard drive please?
  22. Finally a solution that works, mine is currently set at 1.45, this works best for me. https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/cant-change-email-font-size-thunderbird-for-macs-stuck-in-tiny-letters/ Looking around in the Web, it turned out that there are lots of complaints about the tiny fonts. I found a solution, it is not exactly perfect but certainly gets around the tiny font size problem: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1297871 It means using “About Config” by clicking on “Config Editor” at the very bottom of the page in: Thunderbird/Preferences/General, then accepting the “risk” (I understand there is no such risk, just a sort of in joke), then searching for “pixel” in the search field there, and clicking twice on this line: layout.css.devPixelsPerPx . In the window that opens change the default “-1” to something bigger, but not too big, then click OK. In my case “3” works. Make sure that the “-” has been removed when changing the value from -1 to some multiple 0f 0.5, while keeping in mind that larger than 3, going by my own experience, might be too large and inconvenient, as changing from -1 on up increases all the font sizes everywhere in Thunderbird (and only in “Thunderbird”), including the “Inbox”, so everything there gets crowded and some goes out of sight if one chooses a number that is too big. The moment you click OK, you’ll see the effect of the change in the very “Config Editor” page you are in.
  23. I have a Macrium Reflect back up of a hard disk. This is held in a Macrium Reflect folder. I want to transfer the contents of this folder to another hard disk, how do I do this please?
  24. In practice for a common problem, a highly complicated solution. There must a better, easier solution than this?
