Big Joke has already announced it is merely s family affair. Thailand has no political asylum laws. So it’s done on a case by case basis, dependent on relations with the country in question and whether it will pay for the repatriation. Saudi has money, so they will quickly get her back, even though relations are still strained after Saudi jewelry heist and the murder of Saudi embassy officials and businessmen involved in labour recruitment scams. The Chinese have big political influence, so they get their Ouighurs back. North Korea is not that important to Thailand, so they sometimes get their defectors back but South Korea often outbids them. There was a North Korean in the Immigration prison for years because no one would pay his fare to be deported. He may have died there by now.

What we know is that Thailand has allowed a Foreign official to remove someones passport at the airport and force someone on its Territory to go to another country ! But actually we shouldn’t be surprised

Unfortunately, I don’t have time to wait for the police order to come down as my current extension expires on 28 February.
Even if I were amenable to depositing funds in a Thai bank, (which I’m not) I wouldn’t have enough time to meet the seasoning requirements. I’m starting to believe the Thailand Elite visa might be my best (and my only viable) option at this point. 

Junta must need more time to have “certain things “ sorted out before its technically removed !

And you guys don't see this happening elsewhere, like in the USA, its a common occurrence.

So many these Thai males have zero control, make em angry and its a murderous rage. All you can do is warn people...don't go to Thailand, if you do give the males a wide berth, don't try to interact with them. Don't ever ever try to be funny and crack a joke...that's like playing with a hand grenade.

And their UK passports should be revoked! Why don’t they apply for Romanian or other eastern Eu states? I can guess why

As a lecturer in a Thai university, I can't tell the students about how the rest of the world does it and about how their text books are unsuitable for today's world. I can't tell them that if they don't work hard they will fail the course. because by doing so, I am rocking the boat. If too many students fail, my teaching methods are questioned, not the students work ethic.
 
The students get to assess me ! and so if I give them too much work to do, or I don't give them the grades they THINK they deserve, then I get punished via their poor review. I am then questioned as to my teaching abilities.
 
The Thai teachers play the game very well and give the students numerous opportunities to resit and redo everything. There is no downside to being a lazy student as they get to do it again and again until they get the desired result.
 
The strict defamation laws here don't allow a lecturer to teach about the real world and I always have to curb my lectures because of this. It is ridiculous.

But the mafia traffic police Thailand demand International or Thai! Well actually they just want money ! To get a UK licence requires more of a test than the muppet testing in this country !
