    “They said that 200,000 illegals were on overstay in Thailand. But as quickly as the Thai authorities were rounding them up the more were coming.
     
    The video showed a raid on an apartment block. It was the seventh time the "Black Eagle" response unit of the tourist police had been there in recent months.
     
    Out of the 200,000 at least 80,000 were on overstay from  Nigeria and Somalia.”
     
    Just remember this is the original news item! And it’s turned into accusations of “racism”! The liberal politically inept with their diversions.

    Of course there's that possibility - there's also the possibility that they're multi millionaires :saai: Do yourself a favour and wander over to the visa section of this website. You will find countless threads posted by people from "western" countries asking how to deal with overstay (some up to 5 years or more), no passports, black listed etc issues. 
     
    Honest question, just being facetious: Have you never broken the law?

    In a seething crowd of thousands of Loy Khrathong revelers yesterday I may have seen two, a young couple could ave been from East Africa by the looks of th proving me wrong. More likely they are from Surrey.
     
     
     
     
     

    If you were a police officer you could have asked to see passport! If they were from Surrey then no problem , if they were from an African country a possibility of overstayed or no passport !

    I don't know about the "blokes", but my earliest memories are living in Nyanga, Cape Town. My father ran the children's home there. I grew up in a designated "black area" and never realised that I was in a segregated community. My father was a "NG Kerk" - Dutch Reformed Church minister (the church of the state at the time), but he wanted to show the oppressed masses that his god was just and that the state was twisting the words of the Bible to justify its actions. This, obviously, made him an enemy of the state. He had cancer since I was born and died when I was 7. The majority of the people at his funeral were not white. My point is that despite coming from South Africa I have never taken race into consideration when dealing with people - religion the same thing - my father inadvertently guided me to not believe in a god when I started questioning him when I was 5 about people being raised in different countries with different religions not having a fair chance to "know about Jesus". He taught me that one should never judge another human being because they think or look differently to you - judge them on how they treat other people - his eyes were brown and mine were blue: if skin colour was a reason to be separated, why not eye colour?

    Nonsense comment in relation to what is happening in Thailand ! Africans illegally in the country and involved in crime in large numbers!

    You mean some of the old boys who, in one breath slag off corruption but in the next, breathe a sigh of relief when their visa fixer bribes an IO at Chaeng Wattana to let Bert from Grimsby stay here on a retirement visa when he hasn't got the 800,000 baht to show???

    Yes that is the subject but the next time the focus switches to illegal farangs in Thailand, do yourself a favour and take note of the tone of the contributors to the discussion.
    I guarantee the tone will be questioning the severity of being in the country illegally (which overstay is).
    Some will even go as far as to say that farang overstayers are at least contributing to the Thai economy so they should be dealt with more leniently.
     
    The point I'm making is that there is a deeply ingrained hatred of black people among the membership of this forum. It is what it is and there's no point trying to change people.
    They're ignorant and bigoted and, to make matters worse, their home countries have made it so that they can't speak their minds freely.
    It's a good thing because I'm sure many of them would be dead if they said half the things they say here out in the real world.
     
    The most amazing thing is, some of them even have black friends who they know to be honourable, decent, hard working people but there's something about the internet that empowers the bigot in everyone.
    You can say what you feel and release the tension without repercussions and these people are having a field day today.
    Let 'em get on with it

    A bigoted comment! Many Africans who happen to be black are involved in drug related crimes and other illegal activity in Thailand. Now you can look into the reasons why but making general “racist” accusations makes your comments pathetic!

    After reading some of these comment I decided to bail out from this tread as I now realise why many on here are not living in your own country as if you did you would be behind bars for racialism. Not all black people as you call them are bad, same goes for whites and Thai's.
     
    To the Brits on here if you visit back home, keep the mouth shut if I was you as you will be behind bars it your mouths runs off that is for sure.
     
    You are no better than any other colored person and yes white is a colour, get used to it.

    And quoting Thailand visa rules with regard to Africa maybe not to your liking but it’s fact!
