The UK used MSG in food preparation widely within it's Armed Forces from the late '50s to the late '60s. It was then banned because of links to 'problems'. Having served in the British Navy for 26 years, I never once came across one person who suffered from the effects of MSG.

All Asian nations use MSG in cooking. Including some 1.5 billion Chinese. I have never heard of any problems with it.

I have lived in Thailand now for 14 years. I have never heard of a problem with it.

The only times I have ever heard of problems with MSG were from a number of American travellers my ex-wife and I met during extensive backpacking in Asia between 1994 - 2004.

My Thai wife uses it all the time. Not being a medical person, (although I worked for the NHS in UK for 10 years), I would suggest that the above OP's effects are likely the results of other problems unrelated to MSG users.

MSG gets the thumbs up from me.

<deleted> do you know. Take some msg and hit yourself in the head with a hammer. Then you will what it's like.

That don't drink and drive message appears not to have been heard or understood by a fairly large multitude then.

Also wondering why 3,339 people were found to be drunk but only 2,716 actually got charged with anything. Surely the cops wouldn't dream of taking a backhander from the other 623?

They forgot to put that checked 3340 drivers

If Ford wants to make a killing and sell the Ranger Raptor worldwide as a premium pickup, then offer the same thing with the 5 cyl,  3.2 litre engine.

A 2 litre engine in a premium vehicle?

    Wrong choice!

Thailand is mostly flat and when was the last time you seen any trailers or 30 foot Rv's being towed. Only North America needs big HP to haul all there toys.

Our seat broke and tap at the sink was leaking. Wife told the landlady and she brought the replacement parts and said they would send someone to fix it. Told her no need I can do it.

Cripes you guys the toilet seat only requires two plastic wing nuts to secure it. A kid could do it. The tap was bit harder as nut wouldn't turn. A couple of hard raps on the tap and rotten metal broke right off. Replaced the new hardware and Bob's your uncle.

You want to move into our place

  6. Driver probably was never taught how to drive in the mountains. I'm an air brake instructor from BC Canada we drive mountains all the time the same one as Highway through Hell. It's not a problem if you know to use your gears, I rarely use my brakes. I have found a lot of drivers go to fast and end up using the brakes to much here in Thailand and you can't tell them otherwise. (Canadian drivers to) I've put over 2 million kms in BC mountains with no incidents. But seen a lot of them.
