The IDP is of no value without the underlying valid home driving license. It is a derivative of your home driving license; it doesn't stand on its own.
thats obvious but with my friend when they seen the picture of a moped on his home car licence they assumed it meant he was licenced to ride a motorbike when in reality it only allows a 50cc moped,
when we arrived home my friend asked...what does this motorbike licence allow me to do?
I said it mean you can go and buy a 1000cc motorbike today and ride legally, he replied but i have never ridden anything with 2 wheels apart from a bicycle.

This is supposed to be why the International Driving Permit is needed, to unambiguously show which vehicles an applicant's home license allows them to legally drive. In this case, the IDP would not have shown that the driver was qualified for motorcycle driver's license.
But for some reason they also require the original licence along with the IDP which shows a picture of a moped.

Took a friend to get his thai licence in bkk, he had an international from the uk, when i seen a lady at one counter talking to him i thought maybe he had forgotten something, when i asked he said she asked why he did,nt get his motorcycle licence also, he came away with a thai car and motorcycle licence and told me he had never ridden anything with two wheels apart from a bicycle before,
it seems they seen the small picture of a moped on his uk licence saying he would be allowed to ride a moped with 50cc and assumed it meant motorcycle.

Hehe. Tesla's autopilot is fake anyways. You also have to be there and nudge the steering wheel from time to time or it'll disengage and stop the car.
My mom drove all her life manually geared cars. She tried to resist quite a lot when I told her to go for an automatic for the new car a couple years ago. She thought it would be complicated, not work well and use more gasoline. She picked up all kinds of nonsense FUD from the internet. I insisted and a couple months later she said she couldn't be more happy. It's so much easier and uses less gasoline around town. Point of the story is people naturally will resist change for no good reason if they are used to their ways for many years.
I love manuals on bikes but I really don't like them in cars.
Regarding fuel consumption i have a manual vios and always used it for fishing trips-a friend had exactly the same car but automatic - we often travelled the same route together, his auto used quite a bit more fuel than my manual.

My answer was gears and clutch as i bought a new triumph bonneville just a few days ago...dont think they do automatics but i have a honda pcx automatic which gets used for 7/11 and the market, my car (toyota vios) also manual-clutch and gears is 17 years old had it from new and runs-drives same as new, i have had automatic cars in europe-jags and mercs - i like automatics in big cars only,
In my experience automatic cars at least use more fuel than manual.

Thai style house for that price. Looking at plenty of rentals down there through the past 3 years and the cheapest was 25k a month for a 3 bed 3 bath townhouse in Huai Kwang. Everything else, house wise is above 50k and then you have the single story Thai style house 1bed 1 bath which has barely any furniture and really no kitchen for between 6k-8k Thb. Found this one for 12k, but you need to add all of your own furnishings. Not doubting you as anything is possible yet I find it very hard to believe. Now a 25sqm condo, oh hell yes it is doable, but I have never seen a house at the prices you list unless it is total Thai style.

To rent a house of any standard with furniture will run you more than your indicating, and then I would not live anywhere near where the house I listed is........
This one would need you to add furniture and misc. and is 35 K a month.

I believe you are trolling.
i,m talking unfurnished, waste of time looking on the internet, just find a property advertised with a sign or ask the local noodle shop then speak to the owner,
first house i rented was in prawet.. brand new 2 bedroom 5k per month... i enjoy moving every 3-4 years,
I need a garden because i own a dog.

An easy-to-find 3-bedroom bungalow at that price-range in Bangkok, that means you must be in the boondocks of the city.

i would advise not to buy any condo or property here when rents are so cheap, i rent a 3 bedroom bungalow for 7000 per month, the previous house rental was 6000 for a 2 bedroom bungalow.... this is in bkk and they are so easy to find.
