BC i had been working in hk for a few years, company car is/was a model s tesla from 2015, this car is a dream to drive and even being an older model functions perfectly, i did'nt have to do many km so it got hooked up to the charger every 2 weeks or so,
HK became tesla city it seemed like all the previous sports car owners switched to tesla.

Buy an EV to become green, and the coal burning power stations will have to ramp up to meet the demand?

Hydrogen fuel cells (HFC) are the future. EVs will die out slowly as the infrastructure is too great and complicated to support it. Imagine, in the UK for example, where street parking is very common; how can you have a charger in place for every car on the street? It’s nigh on impossible. And used batteries are hardly ‘green’. Toyota are investing massively in HFC technology and is also the main reason why Honda are pulling out of F1; to focus on HFC development. They’re doing it for a reason. Plus, current fuel stations can easily be converted to provide hydrogen.

they are dreaming, most dont have a supply at the parking place...if the have a regular parking place that is, also i do not believe the infrastructure could handle many evs

I’ m a Phuket West Coaster myself. Done with City Living. But your place sounds ideal for you !
Mostly when i want to move i just ride the scooter around in areas where i want to live looking for houses to rent, forget the internet as many just put a hand written sign outside or stuck to a lamp post with a phone number, or even ask at the local noodle shop.. if they know a place they just give the number,
View a house and talk with the owner then for instance if they want 8k offer 5k but 6 or even 12 months in advance... often they got for it and are also convinced there will be no problems collecting the rent as would/has been the case with thai renters,
When the deal is done give 2 months deposit and transfer the first 6 months to their account ..all with a signed contract available from the post office,
After that its just a matter of moving your funiture and get the internet cable moved to the new house, after a few days i feel at home as does the dog,
Kevins job is to keep the squirel and monitor lizard population down and deter other unwanted visitors

5k. a month. says it all really. wont even ask what or where you get for that. but you seem settled & happy there. which is all that matters for a home really. so thats the deal of the century then. less than my 7k Common Fund ! you can own leasehold or with thai company. but not economic at that level ……
At the moment a very large nice 3 bedroom bungalow in the quiet burbs of bkk, wonderful and in some ways a hiso area 6k rent
BTW i enjoy moving every few years, if i owned anywhere that would,nt be so easy

“Been renting 16 years now and never a bad experience”
except 4-5 million baht lost rent ? but avoided Dead Capital I know. and not having your own home to cherish / extend/ renovate/ decorate / furnish / sell / rent out.
how does 5k per month work out to 4-5 million?
Thing is a condo is of no use to me and as i cant own a house renting was the only option

yet another reason not to rent here…..they just keep crawling out of the woodwork….
Been renting 16 years now and never a bad experience (no agents) apart from the first house rental when after 3 years the owner suggested i buy the house but leave it in her name

Who pays 6 or 12 months rent in advance, in Thailand. That was the biggest mistake. Just asking for someone to take it and run. Under English law you might be able to argue the agent was acting on behalf of the owner but here just not worth the cost of taking it through the courts. What was the loss @50,000 baht?
I rent houses always and pay 6-12 months in advance, its worth it really

Brake lights are usually operated by a switch on the top end of the brake pedal, if faulty can either stay on or off.
Nope just a presure switch on the brake line

Oh, the little switch under the brake pedal needed replacing, so you had the front brake discs replaced to cure it.....????
Were all those similar cases from bar stool chat...? ????

You haven't said what you went to B-Quik for...????
B-Quik use Bendix brake parts, they advertise that...????
You have heard many reports from other customers complaining...????
i went to b-quik because my rear brake lights were on, yes i have heard reports of similar cases from other customers and non om parts

Tell me the problem you had at B-Quik...?
I will pass it on...????
First thing they will do is put your car on a lift and take the wheels off, after that they will start offering to exchange parts which are in perfect order, they changed my brake disks with non om parts and after i ended up with the front brakes on fire and locked up, this happened 3 times untill they skimmed the disks down to the original thickness,
after this i just dont trust them and have heard many reports from other customers complaining ,
i would'nt trust them with a peddle car now

Ah yes ofcourse coolant too. It's an automatics yes.
Will have the car serviced and the tyres checked for cracks and flat spots. I don't know if i can trust B-quik on that matter though, they'll probably recommend new tyres.
stay away from b- quik their intent is to empty your wallet only, buy tires on lazada and let the local rubber smith change them,

So the story gets twisted Thai style.
The wife has a boy-friend who jumps the fence and threatens the Swiss farang with a deadly weapon - a revolver. The Swiss farang defends himself, disarms the attacker, and ties him up for the police. Attacker dies. Swiss farang is now a terrible person deserving of jail and whatever hell the Thai legal system can throw at him while cheered on by the attacker's family and the Thai public. He's obviously a guilty bad-man because his wife and the attacker were screwing behind his back and ripping off his wealth. So the entire affair is the Swiss farang's fault and he should be thrown into a prison for the rest of his life - or pay the family his life savings. Anyway you cut it, the Swiss farang is guilty as hell and the authorities will find something to pin on him in the name of "justice."
Does that sound about right? Yeah?
Why do I think he was the only victim?I reckon in the next days the cops will have him in the station jamming bags over his head demanding money

later we just got up and walked away.. i was expecting someone to chase us with the bill,
She said their is no bill...i asked why? she replied if there was a bill they would get closed down,

For a while here in bkk i was dating a police woman, the most corrupt person i have ever known... driving extremely drunk almost unable to walk in a car she had stopped making the payments on ... still on red plates after 3 years,
i lived in a dead end street where she would after arriving drunk around 12pm park in the middle of the road with her id hanging from the mirror so everyone around would be afraid to complain, made me very unpopular with people around,
I also set a trap for her... i had let her see a wad of dollars in a draw , she thought i did,nt notice she seen it, i set a camera up for her next arrival but had moved the money, she ran down from the bedroom before leaving at 3am and went direct for the desk draw!
this is a person swore to protect and serve
