  1. This article begs two questions. The tourists having just arrived from the airport must be aware that they had baggage. How could they forget? The taxi driver should have noticed the luggage and returned to the hotel with it. Why wait until contacted by police?
  2. Thanks for your answer. It does not explain why it’s now called Lotus’s and not Lotus
  3. Most are called Lotus’s quite why I do not know. It’s not good English
  4. Thanks for your comments which are much appreciated. Sorry for the delay
  5. It’s the Hua Hin immigration. I am going to try to get the information but it’s not easy. I will keep you posted. It’s also worth all long term retirees to be aware of this problem. It is interesting to know if anyone else has had the same problem
  6. Went on Wednesday and my application was refused. My exempt visa was renewed for another 30 days. The reason being that the 800,000baht has been in my account for many years and they need proof of 800000b being transferred from abroad within the last year or maximum two years. I am now trying to obtain a bank statement to show transfers from England amounting to 800000b which I transferred for living expenses I will keep you posted. If you have any suggestions please let me know
  7. Yes I will report what happens. I have had 800,000 baht on a deposit account for many years but as a precaution I will do as you suggest and withdraw some of the accrued interest. Thanks again
  8. Thank you Dr Jack that’s most helpful. I intend applying next Wednesday
  9. I obtained a retirement visa O-A in 2014 and have extended it each year. I have just returned on a visa exempt as my retirement extension was due in March but I was not able to return from England until last week. My question is should I renew my O-A extension or should I apply for an Retirement O visa to avoid future insurance requirements. If so how do I do it? I thank everyone who answers
  10. I did of course but was being precise with where I am
  11. Thanks for your reply. With visa exempt can I use fast track entry channel? i did have a retirement visa which ran out in March which I intend to renew. I have annual insurance and 800,000 baht on deposit still

  13. My Thai partner has a 10 year visa for the UK. She is allowed to stay 180 days per visit. Is that also the maximum per year or can she leave after 179 days and return 2 months later for another 180 days. Your advice is very much appreciated. Thank you

  15. I will be traveling to LHR from Bkk in 10 days time using Singapore Airline. I am fully vaccinated with Pfizer. My partner Thai is not vaccinated. Will she be able to use the E lane with me as she used to before covid. Anyone here with the knowledge to offer advice. Thanks
  16. Same here Bangkok Bank very professional and returned the money yesterday. No questions asked
  17. Thank you to everyone for your comments. The plan now is for her to fly to England unvaccinated Stay at home for quarantine and then use my local doctor to arrange the jabs via NHS. The reason for having the NHS involved is so we can get a vaccine passport for travel to the USA and back to Thailand
  18. My partner suffered like you. 55 withdrawals in less than 24 hours and Bangkok bank told her the same when she cancelled her card. She never uses ATM but did use it online to buy an item in the game Hayday
  19. Bkk bank only report withdrawals of 1,000 baht and over. So I would not know if anything under that amount was taken. That’s why I go on line and check my balance twice a month
