The guy is a paedophile who has operated in Cambodia abusing young girls since 2007 (according to reports).  Cambodia has always been an easy choice for these sort of people and it will be a long time before there is any significant change.  The NGO's have been thick on the ground for years and there have been many high profile cases but still it goes on.  But just like in Thailand, some of the locals also indulge making it less likely of people blowing the whistle, preferring to sweep it under the carpet.

This man's life is now effectively over.  If you follow the Daily Mail link you can see the film of him being arrested, along with other clips of other arrests from other countries.

How do some religons get away with child brides , their as bad as this creature.?.

Would that be the same TURD Tuna that you didn't know how to change the DVD when I asked you (Found out yet???) Now it seems you couldn't work the Sat Nav. That you also didn't know came as an extra until I informed you. Might be time to stick with your Yugo with it's wind down windows and keep well away from anything complicated that's needs to be set up or pressed electric button wise.

N/B the one I had in my old TURD Tuna was easy to use. Much better/easier than the new ones. Didn't have so many things on it that you don't need.

Saying that the Blue tooth on the new one is very handy.

Yes its the one i bought for our Daughter on her Uni Law Degree. I did about 200 klics in the ponced up truck complete rubbish compared to ther basic exelent value Vigo. You Sir informed me nothing as usuall.

Some posters may have lived and worked in many countries around the world, going somewhere for a holiday for a few weeks never gives anyone the slightest idea about that country.

Whether people want to accept it or not the first experience that many expats, let's say at 50+, have of Thailand is usually a holiday and the warmth

( climate ) and dare I mention the availability of night time comfort is too difficult to reject. It doesn't take long for them to upsticks and move here and get involved in a 'permanent' relationship, and, very soon after the 'extended family' starts to emerge from the woodwork.

The end game has been decided for them from day one and the whole thing is carried through with smiles and praise of the provider.

Eventually the move to the countryside happens, why pay rent in BKK or Pattaya when you can live so much more cheaply in the village? That means the moving of the rice bowl to somewhere with much more control over it and away from the risk of it being stolen.

It doesn't take long for a couple of rug-rats to appear and they're ( the expats ) stuck here.

Instead of a nice easy retirement doing what they please and going where they want, as retirement should be, in my mind anyway, they have to defend the lifestyle by saying how wonderful and peaceful it is.

Obviously it's not my idea of a retirement and I ( we ) live our lives in a different way. No kids, no extended family, no discussions of so and so wants/needs some money for this or that.

So, anyone can reply and tell me how wonderful their life is in the village/countryside and I will say 'good for you.'

For me I would hate it.

Thats a fair assessment, its hard living up country after a year, im here because my Wife has a big family, without her id be in the U.S.A. Every climate you want, and space to move. I have a Lifetime Residency Permit, more disquieting than a blessing when i feel restricted here. But at least we have 3 inherited houses in different areas , that helps greatly avoiding the blandness of climate, cars, and the Food is my WORST Nightmare.

  4. The Light Thing is a big moneymaker, its a bit like Computers, they will bleed you at first, in the end wont be more than a normal  replacement unit.I Can remember years ago paying 25K for a GPS in a TURD Tuna, that was bloody useless , now they are free in a Chinese MG along with Apple Play . 28 K for lights?,expect thousands of unlit trucks once Thais have to replace them.

Why do folks who know nothing about the other person assume they never used a Honda CVT? I'm driving a Jazz with a CVT around the past 2 months... and yes I can't stand it.

PS: I'm not saying it's a bad car. I'm saying Honda offers a 10 speed auto in other countries and could have offered it here as well but decided that the Thai market is not interested in it. They do it all the time, leaving features or models out. And that's the part I really don't like.

Of course I'm going to test ride the car and see if it's good enough, but I'll always know it could be better.

PPS: I'm fairly convinced that Honda is pretty bad at their market strategies. The best example was when they brought the Africa Twin to Thailand by advertising everywhere the white color option and then decided to not sell white but only silver instead, saying young people here love silver. Well, silver sold badly and one year later they relented and offered white. Or their decision to mate certain colors with a specific gearbox which they also reverted after a year.

    How Sad, Never Mind.

According to Paul Tan we wont be getting the 2.0 10 speed auto and instead only get models with CVT. <deleted> Honda! Way to go, always find a way to screw it up.

Why do folks who have never used a Honda CVT pass a verdict on it. Its not like other CVTs, i love a good whinge, but Honda dont merit one.

These engines are interference builds if i'm not mistaken

Better to have the head off and do a visual before spending too much, even with a new belt and if the engine ran it may have done damage that will only show up later on causing more cost to you...

Too many farangs who get bent out of shape and too hung up on 'principle' in Thailand either get a) Killed b) Stabbedc) Beaten d) All of the above

What's the big deal? There is no shortage of good restaurants in Thailand with better service.

Stop going to this restaurant and be happy.

All this fuss over 15 baht? Despite what you may claim, you have all the traits of a Cheap Charlie.

So true, a pompous German in our crowd sang the praises of a Young Thai at a Comp Shop who fixed his Laptop free, took him 30 mins. "I Gave him a 20Bht Tip.". Well he silenced our Table.!. Then you get the opposite, a Brit drinks one Soda Water for an Hour, and always leaves the Girl a 40 Bht , the Waters 20 Bht. Good Hearts V Butholes.:drunk:
