Suspending the arrivals of the Chinese for a few months won't have anything like the impact than if this things spreads and no one comes here. Short sighted thinking. Not to mention the impact on hospitals.

Dozens? Not exactly a big turn out. The irony being most of them will either have family or themselves burn trash.

It's like they are purposely sending the economy into a nosedive. What could they possibly gain from doing so.

What a coward. Hope they catch this guy. We British are not all like this however I have lost it on some from being unkind to animals.

And yet a Thai reporting a Thai to authorities is almost unheard of. Maybe we need a hotline to report illegal burning which practically nearly all do. The laws can be enforced it seams as long as it's a foreigner involved. Other than that the country is virtually lawless.

I guess most of those 39 million visitors are staying clear of Phuket.

To think fireworks are illegal to sell in Thailand.

"The alleged owner of the dog has refused to accept responsibility and has claimed it is a stray." Heard all too often here. I saw a child throwing stones and teasing a dog last week completely unsupervised. Not for the first time. No social responsibility and those who pay the price are never those who could have prevented it. Sorry for the girls death but sorry for the dog also who probably had a lifetime of unkindness as they often do here.

"Some cancers are more prevalent in Thais than Westerners - these include liver, brain and throat cancer."
Constant burning particularly of plastics, use of cancer giving pesticides. Enough said. Nothing to do with being Thai.

Now is great time to move any savings you have out of Thailand before it does drop.

Old management treated to s life time of free first class might be a good starting point to cut costs. An over bloated work force. Management that are only Thai regardless of poor they are at actually running an airline. Buying planes from numerous companies there inflating the cost of maintenance. Ohh the list goes on.

The fundamental nationalism in this country since the elites took over is truly mind blowing. They don't see the bigger picture of the billions of dollars expats never mind tourist add to the economy especially at a time when the baby is so high many are struggling and some won't even visit. Hope and pray it comes back to bite them and there economy sinks.

Once a day? What are you dogs? In any long term relationship it becomes a distant memory and a certain age beyond fashion.

This sounds like a good idea although youngsters should be prohibited from indulging.
Better than them being drunk. Never seen anyone start a fight high. It's Impossible.

I am happy to do it as long as Thais have to do it back in the UK. More than happy. Importing those corrupt Thai mafia you can't be too careful

I knew this when my wife called them to a domestic next door. They said nothing we can do we can't go in the home.

Like everything else in this country it will get ignored and they will be sourced from somewhere. Biodegradable plastic has been around for years but is more expensive.

I believe nothing that comes from the mouth of any Thai official. How on earth would they know how much people spend? Utter nonsense.

I see so many doing wheelies here I would laugh so hard if I saw one come off. In fact I would stand over him and laugh.

The week that was in Thailand news: Hysteria finds its natural home on social media and online news

The author writes about hysteria then whips one about street dogs. What a nonsense. Many here who help dogs including myself have a spay and neuter program that is part of solution not the problem. With reference to the so called Rescuer who was buying up dogs in Cambodia you absolutely right about him and he was part of the problem but don't judge all on one bad apple.
