20+ years in online and social media consultancy has taught me something: The ones who are willing to pay most for this sort of rankings will end up higher in the list. These sites have 0 meaning. A simple Google Analytics search will show you that they hardly have any traffic going through them.
Nice job TAT. ????

This Monkeypox will not deter tourists coming to Thailand
Some come to Thailand for sex. Not all. Xenophobe remark again.

A member of the Medical Council of Thailand has advised Thais to avoid sexual contact with foreign nationals to help contain the spread of monkeypox.
I told my Thai wife. She had a good laugh.

If the fruit was just the only thing we had to worry about as expats...
You might want to consider reading the article below first before reading some selfpromotional drivvel like this.

We've gone from "There's no COVID in Thailand", to "We're the masters of COVID", to "We've beaten COVID". This "We’ve this situation under control" does seem like a step back to me. What's next? My guess would be: "Oops! We lost control. I'm out of here!”

All I said was that anutin had a point when he said farang shower less than Thai, then I was attacked for being racist. I used 'farang' as that is what he used.
I know, as a Scot, that Thais shower a lot more than the average Scot, full stop.
Too many sensitive snowflakes here that exhibit a colonial reverse superiority. Can't have them pesky Siamese saying they are more hygienic than us!
The problem was not repeating Mr. Anutin's quote. The problem was that you generalized all foreigners in one group. And now, in your latest comment, you do the same with your own countrymen (and women). I don't think you went from door to door in Scotland, asking each and every individual how often and how long they shower.
What you probably meant to say was:
"As far as I know, and with my limited knowledge, as a Scot, I think I know that Thais that I know shower a lot more than the average Scot that I know, full stop."

If he is the next PM of Thailand, expect even less expats soon and even stricter measures for those who remain.

When I moved from the Netherlands to this country in 2004, I was first employed as a conversational English lecturer and teacher at one of Northern Bangkok's universities for 4 years. My students consistently ranked highest in language proficiency for 4 years, even above those thaught by my native English speaking colleagues. I was even put in charge of teaching other university personnel English skills. Additionally, I was managing the university's English language website, writing and editing exams and courses, and even taught German and French. However, in 2008, I was unceremoniously dismissed for not being a native English speaker, and therefore was deemd unqualified to teach, by the new head of the language department. Fun fact, this new head's students had ranked lowest for the last 4 years, but she assured me it wasn't a form of revenge, just policy.
To make a long story short, I can't to always have a little smile on my face when I read these kind of articles, in which time and time again is stated what I have known for over 15 years. It's the system that causes this.

All these numbers are proof of only one thing: it is time to overhaul the way mathematics and statistics are taught in this country’s schools.

The point is that ALL education systems run by the state will teach "The Good" of the state.
CCP, Germany, US, Thailand... all the same.
The difference is just a matter of degrees.Again you are showing of your lack of general knowledge. The obvious one being that CCP is not western, not democratic, and certainly not free. As for the US, most of the education regulations happen on a local level (district, state)as far as I know, though the government keeps a national overview of everything). As for most European countries, I am sorry to burst your bubble, but education is a synergetic process and is determined in respectful and open collaboration between government, educators, parents and other caretakers, experts from all walks of life, and yes even students.
Maybe read up a bit before you go on another rant.

Western style. For those that wish for governmental parenting.
I don't know in what country this would be western style. Western style allows freedom of religion, political beliefs and gender identity. Western style promotes individual growth, creative thoughts, critical thinking. None of the things I see reflected in either bill.

The report forgets to make a distinction as too Thai nationals being registered as living in Bangkok (which accounts for the 5.4M) and the number of people actually residing and working in Bangkok (including people actually registered in other provinces and foreign nationals) which would give a more accurate number of more than 10 million residents in Bangkok. Subsequently that would also mean only an approximate 35% is vaccinated.
Creative accounting I guess...

Foreigner = Chinese, maybe some Russians and Indians... maybe also some Mexican drugs cartels looking to laundry some money.

I think the lack of lines at the immigration department sums it up nicely: Within a few years there will almost no foreigners left in Thailand, no matter how hard they try to get them to come and stay here.
It also seems they do not care where you get your money, as long as you are spending it without hesitation.

An old Dutch proverb says: "Promising much, giving little, makes a fool live happily."
I think that is very appropriate in a situation like this.

The thing I don't get is that any criminal who wants to white wash his money can come buy a condo in Thailand and get a 10 year visa as a bonus, but honnest people who have been married to a Thai national for more than 10 years or have been working here for over 10 years still have jump through hoops to get a new visa each year and can still not work without needing to aquire a workpermit.
Yeah seems completely fair and completely legit...????

It all just make me think of an appropriate Dutch proverb:
"To promise a lot, but give a little, makes only a fool live in happiness."

Thailand must welcome back Chinese tourists now says leading tourism chief
My mother used to say humans only "must" do 2 things; have a <deleted> (defecate in case the original verb I used gets deleted) and, one day, die.
Everything else is optional.
A typical case of betting on one horse, and in this case the horse is already cripple.

Step 1: Block all migrant workers from entering the country.
Step 2: Get rid of all foreigners in Thailand?
Several schools are already wondering how to get all their teachers back to Thailand. Especially because of the high airplane ticket prices and because foreigners are required to pay for their own quarantine. I wonder how this will influence other businesses in the next couple of months. Now it's just the low-schooled jobs that are experiencing problems, but if things don't change soon, Thailand will feel the effects over most industries. Maybe be the government should be revising the rules and regulations for foreigners already in Thailand, so it would be easier to employ them. It wouldn't solve all problems, but it would give many businesses a buffer to survive a little bit longer.

After +15 years living in Thailand this is probably the most unwelcome I have ever felt in this country. They didn't get all the foreigners out with all their visa and work-permit regulations, so now just kick them out for not using a face mask? Also, how is he going to handle all the Thai nationals refusing to wear the face masks? Execute them on the spot or jail them?
