I'm an Uster Scot from County Fermanagh so maybe I can clear a few things up for readers. The Ulster Banner ceased to be the official flag of N.I in 1973. Since then it has been the Union Flag. This guy is from a largely Protestant plantation village close to the Fermanagh border with the R.O.I. He served in the British Army (thrown out) and then became a Volunteer in the Ulster Defence Regiment. A member of the UDR from that area would have been at very serious risk from Republican paramilitaries. He's almost certainly a Loyalist.

I saw the whole thing on Thai TV. At least three attempted murder charges and definitely one for the motorcyclist she deliberately ran into the central reservation, causing a collision. And others for driving at police officers and pedestrians, albeit not at speed. I said to my wife right at the start that you could see this was going to go on and on and the police could've shot at the tyres. They had numerous chances as the car was stationary a lot of the time with officers standing next to it (one even climbed onto the roof, but she drove away again forcing him to scramble off - ludicrous actions by the police). As a result, it went on for a considerable amount of time and a lot of pain and damage could've been avoided. At least three police officers should be sacked for dereliction of duty . But TIT, and as stated above, a few wais later and a basket of Brand's essence for the police and all is well again.
What’s Brand’s essence?
Have I missed something at Lotat?

My ex #3's hotel at Phuket Airport is still empty - there are no customers, not even domestic Thais. She can hold out for maybe 1 more month, then the business will have to close. Sad, because I built that little hotel around 2011 with my own hands....
So sorry, hope you can get over it one day

the other way around.
By the time the car was behind the truck, he car was too fast to slow down, thats if he hit the breaks hard enough, which I doubt.
Fault is with the car driver, not to be prepared with what was about to happen

And why not?

Sarcasm alert on.
Well, the farang should have known better. Everyone knows you are not allowed to be more successful than Thai run bars, so by the bar owner next doors logic, he had it coming.
Fallang might consider now,

to invest in a colt 38.

The "storm" didn't come within a minute.
Any somehow experienced sailor would have prepared his boat before.
And..... the strong wind didn't last for 3 days.
Maybe he was drunk at that time. Who knows? ????

Can a sail be partially hoisted in stormy weather to get going again?
I ask you, because I don't know
Are 2 people required to set sail in stormy weather?
For a single operator, that may be quite a daunting task in rough weather

It's ALREADY too late.
Here are a couple of things (obviously this is about SARS, which is 1 protein different from current Wuhan corona virus, so probably same things apply):
- SARS can survive up to 6 hours in human faeces, up to 4 days in diarrhoea
- SARS showed only minimal reduction when kept in sub-zero temperature (like a fridge)
- SARS could be effectively killed by disinfectants like chlorine bleach, within 5 minutes
- SARS could also be killed by UV light, where 264 nm was especially effective, killing off viruses in seconds
As said, although this is for SARS, the strains are near identical so above is probably true for current virus as well.
EDIT: I should provide links as well:

I was hit on a U turn at night by a speeding motorbike going over 80kph(I was on my motorbike, I'm very lucky to be alive, I had a smashed shoulder and road rash down my left side including a hole in my ankle, he had no injuries! I never use U turns now.
I had to pay for his bike and him being off work, apparently as he was travelling straight it was my fault for u turning.
..nothing wrong with round abouts, u-turns or speeding bikes, you simply need to be cautious, SLOW, careful and experienced to negotiate them!

Wasn’t that long ago, when I had pretty sinister thoughts myself..
Now life is good again
Many of us find ourselves I situations,
that may only be turned around with the help of family, friends or shrinks.
To get to them, in time, for help, seems to be the important issue
