Anyway, what a shame that in this video the Declan in question touches his nose at exactly the wrong moment. That, after a generally shifty, sideways glancing presentation, spent hiding behind dark glasses, "did it" for me:
Perhaps this is his Facebook page with 1 review ????

"War veteran"? Which war? If they are referring to WW2 he would've been around 10 years old when it was over ???? Still the story just show's that wisdom isn't aquired with age.

Probably a waste of time persuing a refund for cancelled flight then ????

4 weeks not long. I had domestic flights with ThaiSmile booked for 28th March, still no refund but got email confirming a refund to my credit card in no less than 45 days ????????????
Priceless, I just got another email from them stating that they have extended my "travel vouchers" for an extra year. Standard atrocious English used in the translation ????

You are welcome to send your money to the zoo.. instead of these 'scammers' as you call them.
Looking at the conditions of the animals and the zoo grounds, I'm sure the owner would welcome any assistance you could offer.
The Zoo owner is the criminal here and should be locked up and banned from working with animals for life. Anyone who has ever been to that excuse for a zoo will know the problem. Nice to see the old bill displaying the "Social Distancing" requirements.

After reading the comments here, it seems that very few of the members here have actually been to this disgusting excuse for a zoo. I went there around 10 years ago and decided "never again" animal treatment there was appalling and I can't imagine it has improved. Great that someone had the guts to try and expose the owner of the place who I believe also owns the dolphin show. There are many reviews online about Phuket Zoo. I haven't seen a good one. Hope the right people are given what they deserve in future.

"In the worst-case scenario, the number of foreign tourists may fall to 30 million this year from last year's 39.8 million, with spending down 22%,".
Just read that a few times and let it sink in, 30 million tourists is a worst case scenario, does 30 million tourists sound like Armageddon to you! 30 million is 2017 levels.
The quality of the tourists was still slightly better in 2017 and they spent more money. 30 million who spend very little are not a great prospect. Quality is better than quantity, somebody should tell TAT that.

The bloke in that photo must be wearing all that protective gear for the camera. Most Thai's wouldn't bother with any safety precautions.

Easy fodder for brainwashing. His parents were missionaries ???? Need to say no more than a victim of child abuse.

The slowdown began well before the Corona. Thailand is simply not that interesting anymore, with the high Bath and increasingly hostile immigration, the spiral will continue down even after the Corona issue is gone.
"high Bath[sic]"? ????????????

they are cleaning knobs, someone did not wipe their ass properly, not used to the water wash
Bumwashers are not common in supermarket toilets. Also handwashing especially among catering staff is very rare. You are more likely to see one squeezing spots in the mirror before they prepare your meal. Nice eh?

the 1% use the strong Thai bath to buy and invest in foreign currency
it should be more convenient for them when they decide to live abroad
far from the sh.t hole they have created (Pollution, garbage, dangerous roads, virus and so on)
I hope you can spell "dollars" in the "bath" ????

Thailand must be one of the most money driven countries in the world. They are wrecking the country for the sake of the tourists dollar and are quite willing to wreck their health as well. It is too bad that Thailand was never colonized. There might have been remnants of good governance in place rather than the ignorant people in charge today.
We only need to look back to the events of 2004 to know that. Here's a little reminder with a quote from a "Thai Official"
“If we issued a warning, which would have led to evacuation, [and if nothing happened], what would happen then? Business would be instantaneously affected. It would be beyond the Meteorological Department’s ability to handle. We could go under if [the tsunami] didn’t come.”

In addition staff are cleaning handrails, toilet door knobs and other knobs.
It's a shame that they don't wash their hands after using the toilet or perhaps restaurant staff could remove their aprons before they leave the workplace. I always wondered what they do with them while they are in the toilet cubicle. And please can someone teach them how to dry their hands if they do bother to wash them and not use their own hair. Seeing this kind of stuff really put me off eating anywhere in Phuket.

Hardly news is it. The dual pricing has been present for years. I once sat next to my Thai wife at Phuket International Hospital and we were both presented with a financial statement of costs for treatment. One in Thai which was substantially less than my English version. The nurse seemed to realise the mistake in presenting both and quickly took mine back. I hope we eventually paid the correct amount.

I have a single entry non b issued from Penang which expires on May 7th, I will travel to London in June to obtain a 1 year multiple non b which is what I normally do, Will Savannakhet issue me with another non b single entry or am I likely to run into issues, I know they don't issue non B multiples anymore but Penang informed me that I needed to go to Phuket to obtain an extension to stay but I'd rather go down the route of getting another single then getting my multiple in London in June, anyone have any info on this?
I think London has stopped issuing multiples Sav still OK

You could opt to use Fly/Ride Mukdahan-Don Muang-Phuket without spending a night in either Mukdahan or Bangkok. If you wanted to be in Phuket before midnight, connections are a bit tight (either in Mukdahan or Don Muang) but there is a late flight from Don Muang on Thai Lion that allows adequate time for transfers.
I’ve done that in the past but flying to and from Savannakhet is so much better. No hassle or queues going through the border and was back in Phuket around 5pm even though my flight was delayed due to the Pabuk storm. Also no need for a long wait at Savannakhet airport I turned up at 8am after breakfast for 8:30am flight, no problem.

Off to Cambodia on the bus for a VISA run next week, CM to Bangkok 10hrs overnight bus, Bangkok to Siam Reap 10hrs on the day bus. 1,500bht Vs 4,000bht each way.
DId Savannahket last year, CM to Khon Khen by air 900bht, Khon Khen to Mukdahan by van 300bht, overnight bus back to Chiang Mai 750bht, not much difference in cost but the times work out better on the return by bus.
I quite enjoy the bus trips, and it leaves me more money to spend on beer.
I’m sorry to hear that you are so poor.
