You can still move money, just 50K THB Per day hahaha Yo ucan keep using it for instant WIse, just as long as you are ok with gradually moving it to otehr banks/or taking it out.

Welcome to the club, they are gradually rolling it out, you can stil use the account to get money from overseas, but any spending via the Kplus app or bank cards will be limited to 50K THB per day or 20K THB withdrawal. So basically anyone using it to get funds in to Thailand, for larger amounts you need to transfer in person at the bank teller. For more info see this reddit:

Yup can confirm this is the exact banner that magically showed up on my home page one morning and ruin my day, despite already did all the face scan they ever asked for. Everything still works, just that spending in app is limited to 50k THB and can't be adjusted anymore!

Because I like to have the option if I want to need to, that's basically it. I've used this bank account for years without issue, and already did everything they asked. Yet still got this imposed. Another scnerio is say I transfered 100K over to this Kbank account, but need to pay for something that is 60K the same day? I can't cause I need 2 days to transfer 50K perday to a diffrent bank, the only option would be to go to branch and take out manully, but then again what if I am paying for a medical bill at night for some urgent care? It's all about having that option avalible if needed! Not feeling like you are always. operating at the edge!

I've heard that while KPlus has a 50,000 limit, you can get an additional 50,000 through the online KBank website. It seems like a loophole, so it's probably best to keep it quiet, and I'm not sure how long they'll allow it.

Ok I see now. So your Kplus, also has the 50K per day transfer limit (outbound) but you recently had international transfers come in to this account of a large amount, and there was no issue. Got it, well then at least this sounds assuring. Again I already did all that facescan and Kplus still imits my daily spanding to no more than 50k THB. As for making large transfers outside of Kplus, they said you can still visit a branch for that. I will continue using KPlus for international transfers but will gradually move the funds to my other Thai bank accounts.

Thanks for confirmation, but I don't think your Kplus has the 50K app limit imposed on you yet? trying to see if anyone who does have this imposed, but still made large transfer to the account without issue. Anyway, I don't think it will be an issue, just being cautionary. I've used my Kbank to get money for over 4 years, plus if I really wanted to I guess I can still go to the branch to initiate large trasfer, but with current limit I can gradully move the funds over to my other Thail banks for long term storing, my BBL has a 2 mil perday, same as SCB, TTB, KTB

Yes it is only logical, The thing is, the only reason I've even been using Kplus is because thier WISE transfers are instant, compared to BBL. While I personally have many other Thai banks with no such app limit (already face scan-simcard corrected those as well but no issue). I problably see my self only using Kplus for inbound transfers now, but not for storing, need to gradually move it to store in other banks where I feel more at ease.

Has you inbound also been impacted or did that still work fine for over 50k.

Thanks for sharing!!! finally someone gets it, that it doesn’t matter if you already did all that simcard+face scan my app say I am all good in terms of scan, yet after all the fact still got 50k thb daily limit slapped on my account. I don’t know if or when this might extend to other Thai banks, but for KBank I’ll just keep using them for Wise cause they are instant, but then gradually move funds over a few days to store the money in my Thai banks like SCB and TTB and KTB and BBL where I dont have such limit, all these still allow me 2mil daily max. now let’s hope Kbank won’t mess it up further and start messing with inbound limits too, I guess at least not for now.

Already did all that, correct sim + face scan issue addressed. Still got this banner and restrictions on my app.

I sure hope there won’t be issues with inbound transfers at least, cause still have some on the way, I don’t think they impose a limit on how much is deposited to the bank account directly, but restrictions apply only for using via KPlus. I also was told you can still go in person to branch to transfer large amounts via teller, so at least that’s still an option I hope.

Can no longer transfer more than 50k thb per day anymore, all I ever used the account was for getting money from Europe, twice a month on average with out issue to pay the wife and bills. This is despite me using a correct simcard and already did facial scan at the bank a while back. Probably gonna take a few days to move funds out gonna switch banks. This is utterly ridiculous.

Seems like it could also be just Bangkok Bank? Maybe Kasikorn is still instant. Need to try unfortunately he doesn’t have Kasikorn at the moment.

Which Thai Bank did you send to using WISE?

To which Bank? Again that the amount in question for this topic is for transfers around 2-3 thousand euros which again used to take seconds, that seems to not longer be the case.
