First time I am a bit nervous as the transfer does not arrive as promised at Bangkok Bank.

Should have credited shortly after 2 PM.

The WISE website shows a strange "We are unable to give you an update at the moment." message and the transfer is still in "Sent" status.

Also have not got the usual email updates about the transfer.

Mine was sent last Friday and I just received it today at 2pm.

I hope this information helps you.

I have just logged into my Wise account and now I have the update saying that it should be paid out this afternoon as usual.

    Friday 10th
    You set up your transfer

    Friday 10th
    You used your GBP balance

    We paid out your THB

Your money's been sent out to  bank

It should reach their bank soon. But banks can be slow - it could take them 9 hours to process your transfer
Today at 2:13 pm receive your THB

    Thank you very much.

    Finger crossed, waiting for 2pm.

It changed by itself. I haven't contact the support or called the bank. It's over 50k . Thought that might be the problem. But Bangkok Bank don't have that limit. So I came over to this post and knew I'm not the only person with that issue. I will give an update when I have it in my Bank Account

Yes anytghing over 50k and it get's regulated to the 2pm processing time. I am considering switching to Kasikorn bank, I heard that even with high amounts such as 120k it still arrives instantly.

This is the response from Wise that I received last night. I checked with BBK this morning about 06:15 but the transfer was not there yet.

    quote " Hello William,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

I checked your transfer  and see that we sent the money from our end, but the money was returned to us due to a technical issue with the recipient's bank.

Our team is already working on it, once that's done we'll process the transfer and let you know via email.

I hope that helps. Just let me know if you have any other questions — or you can check out our Help Centre."

Thank you very much for sharing. But I don't get it. So they said the money was returned? did this mean you had to redo the transfer again yourself? or the money will be processed by them again without you having todo anything?

    Not yet.

I have just sent them an email and to expect a reply in about 24 hours.

Thank you for sharing. I have yet to contact WISE support because I first spoke with Bangkok Bank about the issue. If you receive any updates from WISE support, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share them.

I usually make large transfers, which is why they are never processed instantly by Bangkok Bank and are limited to the 2 PM processing time each day.

I don't think it is just his money, but everybody's money who was due payment today. And that could amount to many thousands of pounds.

Thank you very much for sharing. Yes, this is exactly my situation. I have also called Bangkok Bank, but they said everything is normal on their end.

Apparently, this has to do with WISE itself. Have you gotten in touch with WISE support yet?

Wow really?  Like somebody grabbed your money?  Or they sent it to Taiwan instead of Thailand?  Sure lets make a big deal out of it, got nothing else to do.

If something did not go as expected, I would really like to know why and if anyone else is facing the same issue. This is the first time in the last two years that the money has not arrived as expected. I had plans for Monday.

Uhhm the 400K Baht is one of the options for marriage visa extensions but that wasn’t his rule that’s been a rule for several years before he was ever the Immigration Chief he had absolutely nothing to do with that.  All that happened under his tenure was that they did away with income affidavits and changed the procedures of HOW you actually verify your income or 400K or 800K in a Thai bank account.  The actual rules didn’t really change that much and the monthly income requirement or the 400K or 800K income rules didn’t change at all as far as the minimum monthly income requirement or money in the bank.

The biggest change was the procedures for verifying the 800K option for retirement visa extensions.  Bottom line the actual financial requirements never actually changed under the previous Immigration Chief and they have always been the same for several years before he took over he didn’t make that rule as you say.  All they did was actually start making us prove our income or money saved in a Thai bank account for real instead of using an Embassy letter.  And “pigs” really, have a little more respect for Law Enforcement then that.  And understand that this isn’t your home country.

They did not get rid of the income affidavit at all, only 4 embassies chose to stop issuing them.

All other embassies still issue them as usual, after they've seen your pension letters or other proof of income. And IM still accepts them for extension as usual.

Only those from those 4 embassies were left out in the cold to fend for themselves, so TH IM had to give them this monthly transfer option to help expats from these 4 embassies.

Then he should think about why he didn't think about that before he got old.

That's like stopping work maybe when you are 65 and then you think: From what should I live now?

There was enough time to do some planning...

That's not answering the question, no need to stomp on the fact that they haven't got one yet, just yes or no. What options are there for Expats over 80, which are probably in the thousands that resides here.
