1 QF is repeated at 7am the other at 9.30 it doesn't say which one is which though.
Alternatively, you can ask your mum if you can stay up late?

Is it reasonable to call a guy you've never met a pussy and expect a civil response?
Also, I wouldn't characterize your post as "advice". More of a disrespectful and useless platitude.
It depends on how fragile the OP is. Some would take it as 'locker room talk' other delicate fragile souls would take it personally. Fairly obvious which side of the equation the OP falls on.
Very cute for you to stick up for him though, but I'm sure he can fight his own battles.

Sound advice, and then block them so they can't reply threatening to tear his head off.

Three 'waves' of this kind of behavior with my wife's friends sticking around a little longer than expected has happened in as many years. Obviously, the assumption is part of the problem. And the fact is, I can well afford it. I did say enough is enough and they all left, which wasn't really the idea. The idea is to have my stepson stay.
Go <deleted> yourself.
Well that isn't a very civil way to respond to advice. Maybe you should use this type of bravado to tell these fells's where to go, or are you only brave from behind the safety of a keyboard?

Ill put it down to misunderstanding on my side, but you were the one that seemed to have trouble with people who don't need the bar scene or like a wide variety of shops being available. Like i said i just accept that everyone is different.
Everyone on here seems to be the same. Basically tragic.

Its what you implied, come on if you have to drink in front of a 711 you really went native.
Anyway I can accept that people are different you don't seem to be able to do so. We all got different priorities.
You can accept people are different yet come out with this beauty ''ill give up those that need alcohol to have fun can't be reasoned with'' that was what I was referring to when I said that I/no-one said they need booze to have fun. Give it up.

Why Bangkok at first ? Who not completely insane can CHOOSE to live in Bangkok ?
The only idiot millionaire that I know who still live in Bangkok are Thai. Too complicated for them to understand that their kids life would be better near the beach...
I assume you don't know many wealthy people then...and what wonderful place is it that you reside?

But I never said that did I. Resorting to making things up now. Tut tut.

Nothing like a bit of generalising is there. How about you stop looking down your nose at people who have friends and enjoy a beer with said friends and you carry on enjoying your 'nights out' with your wife eating noodles.

I'm not much of a drinker anyway. I occasionally have a beer with dinner but that's about it. I don't like going out just to have a drink and get drunk
Nothing weird about it

Fine, but why suggest that folk that do like a beer from time to time means that they are also looking to 'hire' an uneducated Isaaan girl?

Walking around Ikea??
No idea why fools on here think going out for a drink means you have to pay for sex?? But it's ok i get it you have no friedns and just use this to justify never having a beer outside of home, or not sitting outside a 7-11.
What a weird bunch on here.

I loved the opening of central westgate and Ikea, but I agree there is more traffic now as back then. Its all a matter of priorities and what you like. That is why its best to rent before buying.
A furniture store is your priority?

May I add, i paid US$ for my Lao visa at Savannakhet a couple of weeks ago, they rejected several dollar bills for being creased but luckily i had enough to pay. They are very strict on the condition of the bills.
That's because they prefer Baht as it works out quite a lot more. They will look for any excuse to knock back your green.

Nonsense.
Why on earth would you spend your retirement in Thailand instead of having top class Canadian healthcare that will take care of you?
My mom is dirt poor in Canada. I bought her a condo (instead of some Thai tart) and now she gets money from the government, free healthcare and heavily discounted meds if she needs them which she does not as she only eats best quality organic food thanks to free government money.
I am so fed up with the "quality" healthcare here (which I get for free through my wife) that I'm going back to Toronto this summer to see real and informed doctors.
This place is not good for old people and I doubt it will get better in the future. By my calculation you'd have to have around 10 million dollars banked in a savings account to have the same quality of life as the average Canadian.
Completely agree, god forbid ending up in a 'care home' here. It's actually outrageous to suggest anything here will be better than what is in the West, albeit at obscene prices.

Actually get it right in the village, and god will be waiting quite a while longer for the Isaan expat. Meanwhile accepting other less fortunates feigning enjoyment spending their pensions on durex, beer, and fags, moaning about how Thailand doesn't treat them right, and beware the 'evils of Thai women' ? Hell it gets boring listening to the oft repeated comments on here never mind spending real time in their company listening to their tales of woe!!
But it is not always like that..you are trying to convince yourself that i is to try to justify your billy no mates isolation. Tragic.

I see so hanging out in a Bah Farang, smoking fags, drinking beer, and talking footie is to be considered contact with the outside world?
In comparison, yes it is.

What else are you going to label a
sad sackindividual that responds to a thread SPECIFICALLY about socializing with an opinion that said socializing is over rated and forswearing any and all intercourse with other foreigners? If one is truly happy in one's solitude, why post about the negativity that one feels when mixing with their own race?
Why post at all?
While we are at it, why sign up to an expat forum?
Yep, spot on. They are trying to convince themselves that the paths they have taken was and is a good choice, but deep down they know that they are pretty tragic and that life is passing them by.
Didn't someone once say that villages in Isaan, or the like, are God's waiting rooms?
They sign up to an expat forum as that is their only contact with the outside world.

I'm out almost every night with a bunch of farangs drinking and NEVER socialise with Thai's at all, indeed I've never had a single Thai friend in my 20 years here, simply because we have ZERO in common with them, although of course many here will try to convince themselves that that isn't true.
Does this offend anyone?

Amazing thread.
I agree with the geezer on page 1 ie the salad bar is good but the main meals, or 'the mains' as you cringingly called it are a rip.

Ooohh, great comeback. You win now.
Bit of advice, don't apply for a visa if you don't like to obey by the very rules that applies to said visa.
PS: You can always ignore my posts too.

It's the latter. Really didn't know that, I thought you could get a 30 day extension on all entries. Could I apply for 60 days ext based on family (the actual non 'o' visa itself has now expired)?
