Just started cleaning my pool myself as the cleaner was not doing a very good job and spent more time sitting down looking at my garden ! so can someone tell me if the red is high on the test kit PH do i add soda ash to reduce this ?. I assume that if the yellow is high CL then this means there is plenty clorine in and i do not need to add anymore ?.
cheers

Just want to thank everyone for there help as she is the proud owner of a visa now ! we re-applied over the internet and i wrote a full letter explaining everything.Still not sure why the lady at the VFS gave my fiance documents and photo's back saying they wasn't required but PMT is world wide, thanks to everyone anyway.....
now just the bank VISA to take care of .....

Can anyone tell me if there is any problems with putting your fiance on your blue book ! also does this give them any regal right to any part of the property ?
-
Supply pictures and fully explain the personal situation you are in . My friend had a similar situation he only had a rental agreement in joint names he supplied pics and was issued a visit visa shortly afterwards.
They gave her all our photo's and other relevent documents back to her at the VFS and said they were not required ? can anybody answer me why they did this !

My fiance has just had her visa refused and would like some advise ! we where planning on going back to the UK for 3 weeks to my parents 50th wedding aniversary. They just didn't believe we had been together since dec 06 and that she had not a good reason to come back to thailand ! ( do a bunk ) we intend to apply again.
Can someone tell me if you are allowed to include photo's and family documents as the lady at the VSF with the attitude gave them all back to my fiance and said they was not required ?.
A quick rundown ! we have lived together in thailand now for 1 and a half years and have a new built house which we moved into 3 months ago but nothing in her name. She does not work as i told her to stop as taking care of the house is a full time job and i give her an allowance which half goes to her family. We do not have things like phone records and e-mails as we are together all the time and have been since we met apart from the odd trip back to the UK.
My problem is that we have only pictures and the odd flight stubs for vietnam and phucket etc to show we have been together that length of time .....
Any idea's anyone !!!!!!!

Do i need to make an appointment or can i just turn up with documents and wait ??

Applications are processed within just 3 to 5 working days, but it takes a lot more time than that to compile all the paperwork you'll need to put together a strong case.
Having a job for her to come back to and an employment record would help. Does she work?
She has not worked for just over a year now which was my choice so maybe its not looking so good !!, taking care of the house & garden etc is a full time job for her.

She will need to have enough funds to cover the trip, or a sponsor who can.
If you are staying with relations, a letter of invitation stating suitable accommodation, if staying in alternative circumstances, suitable funds again.
You appear to have good reasons to return, but has your Fiancée? Does she own part of the business or work in it, or any other business? if so a letter stating a granting of the holiday and a position to return to.
Other strong links to return, her own place, land, strong family ties? all should be stated.
3 weeks is good, not too short and certainly not too long, if you receive the visa, keep to this time scale.
Evidence of the relationship, letters, e-mails, photos are good, hopefully reciprocal from both sides, not just from one to the other.
Just a few pointers
Good Luck
Moss
Thanks for the advice mossfinn and i can understand the reasons for them wanting a reason for her to return but she does not have her name on the house /car /business etc. When we marry next year most of my family will not be able to come to thailand and this would of been the best way to meet but i need to go back before the end of september, how long does the process take ?.
I only realy have photo's and some flight ticket stubs from vietnam and phuket from last year and i plan to stay with my parents so will an e-mail invitation do ? also i will be paying for everything.

I have been in Thailand about 6 years now and have a business and house etc, I have been with my fiancée nearly 2 years and maybe next year look at getting married. My parents back in the UK are having there 50th wedding anniversary soon and I would like to take my fiancée with me as she can meet most of my family in one go! Maybe go for 3 weeks. We have photo’s etc and we have a lovely house together but will that be enough to get a visa as this is her first time to the UK, any help or advice please!
