has anyone any used these people , from their advertising it sounds as if they can get things done , if at a price ,
-
Bert M , could you please pm who you use , thanks

Good thread
, this is a major reason for me relocating here.
I also am retired and on dividends/savings for income
I have tried a couple of lawyers to obtain a TIN and both looked very bemused whilst explaining there is no point in bothering.
My reason for not trying the revenue office directly is I travel within LOS for most of the winter and spend 4/5 Months back in Europe , so although I am over 183 day most years , I don;t have a permanent address.
Would be interested if anyone else in this position ,that could offer any insights

Adam , there is a whole raft of agents for visa, I don't thin TV allow links or advertising on threads , I did quite abit orf research last year and the price is between 25 to 35 k ,
All depends how you are fixed for funds I suspect , both having the 800k on deposit for the length of time , and are you prepared to pay the extra to an agent
-
Bert M, can I ask which agent ,
Understand if you want to PM in case putting names on here not allowed

Yep will be over 180 days this year

It seems it makes things a lot simpler when completing the forms if you can provide a Thai TIN ,
but appears a bit more difficult obtaining one in some areas of the country.
My problem is I spend a lot of time in Serviced apartments , so have no permanent residence as such , would expect if \I applied to the tax office they would make that an issue
Any one got any alternative suggestions

Any one know of any agents that will do the run for you to save hanging about at CW ?
or is it necessary to go in person
-
can you please let me know where this one stop shop is , TIA

-

Thanks Ubonjoe , yes I saw the site , was just wondering if they required a permenant residence , apartment or condo , rather than serviced apartments
-
quick question for wake up , how do you manage proving address/ residence for banks etc ,
I am in a similar position re staying in hotels , but getting requests for residency permits and things
-
can you get longer than a 30 day extension on this visa , or is 30 the max
-
thanks for the replies, any idea what forms /info required , I am mostly in hotels so no permenant residence address as such
-
Ubonjoe , , any idea if UK embassy do certificate of residence ? Ineed one , but don't stay in Tl over 90 days so cant get from Immigration , (here on retirement extension )
-
did you resolve the problem with the banks??
, mine are asking now and are a bit of a PIA to be honest

I can confirm that Greece and Thailand don't operate an apostille sysyem.
we needed some papers apostilled , but had to go to the greek embassy to get them officially signed , was quite expensive and an appointment needed to be made.
I would suggest asking your accountant if a notarised copy would be OK , as it would save you quite a bit of money
hope this helps

Hi , Joe
I have a stamp on one page saying I need to "contact the immigration office for a RE-ENTRY PERMIT before leaving Thailand,
next page is
the same as the left hand side of this picture,( nothing to do with the right hand side)
-
Can anyone give me where and how to get a re entry permit , , I have a one year retirement stamp, and a multi entry stamp , but didn't realise I still had to get something else before leaving.
I will be leaving from BKK airport
seems like the visa rules never disappoint to fail ,,,,
TIA

I am in same position , need to get a TIN ,
Joe couple of questions
Getting a tax ID number does not change the requirement to pay taxes on the funds you bring into the country. That is not really enforced.
are you saying no tax needed to be paid ??
also do you need to complete tax returns ??

any other options , I am still checking out where I want to be based , and am staying in serviced apartments for the main part .
Dtac dont give bills as I am prepaid , (Even though I have been with them for 10 years) and they need a Thai credit card apparently now to go post paid.
Still not sorted my retirement extension as not based in a residence as such , and don't want to have a hassle with IO,
Retirement Visa Centre question.

Just wondering if any one has any up to date info on this company, any ideas what the charges are and what services they offer.
would appreciate pm if any one has any actual experience about them rather than just anecdotal stories
