the more exotic food is as ive seen mainly for the wealthy as a status symbol

In Hainan wealth is relatively new and people have eaten rats and mice out of necessity in the past

Its not by choice,now people can afford to eat beef and other meats its different

I would like to stay near Bangla or around Patong but prefer bungalow or low rise preferable with pool access

I used to stay Patong Beach Bungalows(gone),Patong Resort.Club Andaman,Patong Thara etc but wouls like something new

Happy to pay 2-300 AUD per night or more..any suggestions?

Also Thai restaurants I remember Bang rim pa? just somewhere with a good kitchen

I was due to fly the day before(still have ticket) but too busy at work

I was booked in to Patong Beach bungalows so I would have been gone

so sad lost a lot of local friends
