Tried to renew my extension today at Udonthani. Insuuficient funds, having spent 3 million on house and car. tried to use income method, plety of income but Bangkok Bank statement shows monthly income as BAHNET because my pension provider uses an intermediary bank. Result....application refused

I must agree. Paid over 4000 baht right a meal for two at a beach side recommended restaurant in Kata. Food was no better than terminal 21. Perhaps I should not complain, I paid £60 for a burger, bowl of soup and a glass of wine ( for one) at Gordon Ramsey’s Heathrow! Will I ever learn!

i no longer have the 400k in my account having bought a house and a car. i rely on my pension income of 40 k per month plus. i am due to renew my extension. bangkok bank only provide 6 months statements also my monthly transfers from my pension provider in uk show up as Bahnet. I did show the bank an example of a letter which was recently posted here but the bank says these are obsolete. help!

Although I rebelled against my school uniform in the 60 s I Realize  now its’ importance. It is a great social leveller. You cannot be judged on what your parents can afford. There is also the identity issue. It is important to be part of a school of which you are proud. I still have my school tie even though I frequently ‘lost’ my school cap which was , then, compulsory. 

Plan to renew my marriage base extension in August. Spent a lot on property, cars etc so will be under the 400,000 . Have pension paid into Bangkok bank ever month for last two years, well in excess of 40,000 baht each month. Need to get a letter proving transfers to my bank (Bangkok Bank) I live in Udon Thani, my account is in Bangkok. do I have to travel there to get the letter or can my local branch do It? Please share your experiences.

Sorry but STILL confused is the 400 k seasoning for two or three months on the second application for extension ( I already have my first but some post say two, others three months seasoning!!) also is this complete months or date to date? Also is the monthly income of 40k for three months prior applicable instead of 400 k seasoning

All the replies here relate to the400,000 seasoning. I was under the impression that this should be for three months not two when renewing an extension based on marriage ( this would now become four months if waiting another month before extension is granted .) Also, what about those who plan to use the income method 40 k per month with a bank letter now the U.K. embassy will not provide one. Does anyone have any experience of this being meddled with now?

sorry if this is off topic but how long is the seasoning of 400,000 for renewal of extension based on marriage? It states three months is that date to date or three complete months before the month when the extension is due?
