This is sad but unfortunately these sort of accidents are far too frequent.

The retarded province of Alberta,Canada imposed a hotel tax; upfront and in your face. I wonder who gets that money? The same would apply with a "tourism tax" if you can call it that. Where would the money collected end up at?

Great! Thailand produces a lot of agricultural products which the UK could readily use.

Fast rewind, were'nt those high spending Chinese supposedly not coming to this country well before this virus was sprung on us? It seems the hunt was on for big Indian spenders of which, I don't believe, there are that many.

Pollution you can do something about. You can actively promote and enforce reducing the burning of sugar cane as suggested in the Bangkok Post of some days past. This virus thing is not new - SARS, Middle East Respiratory something or another, ZIKA, when pigs will fly and ad nauseum. So take the usual precautions - wash your hands, maintain a good diet, rest and like any three-day flu irrespective of where you are on this globe, it will go away.

I think we are likely to get knocked off by the air pollution rather than this virus. A bit cheeky to say you are welcome to visit, but we do insist you wear your mask. It's for your own good of course.

Ah, hell, shop till you drop and to hell with viruses, afterall they are all around us and mutate faster than you can unzip. Keep on spending and don't worry - just spend. Spend! Spend! Spend!

Which virus was the one they had tried to pin on the Middle East some years ago? At the time they had placed
people in front of hospitals. How can they tell it's not a normal flu virus? This virus must have mutated already.

Pick off a rapist now won't you?

I suppose it's not easy to come up with quick fix solutions. Those who can't afford entry visas for tourism don't spend a heck of a lot. This requires a long-term solution and not bandaids. It is something that must be started now and measures kept in place while ditching others that are not practical and outdated - even a tad silly.

Plastic is one concern but what about the styrofoam containers they use. That doesn't degrade very fast. What is the alternative for fast food vendors to use?

Anyone who has studied management or tourism management will tell you that each area has a carrying capacity. When you triple or even quadruple the carrying capacity, you destroy your resources, you lose your investment and people don't come back. Word gets around and people vote with their bucks. Now the big alarm. A buck for today and nothing for tomorrow. Incredible.

Data is always being fudged. It's happening everywhere on this globe. Hard to believe anything but in this situation it had been a teeter-totter from one day to the next. Never a straight answer (NASA -ready for the moon)!

I suspected these whack jobs in the "Cinque Stelle" would make a right cock-up of matters. Italians are straddled with this moronic voting system that will alwasy ensure division. Pity.

When I read that "all of a sudden" it's a major problem, something stinks and its not rotting vegetative material at the bottom of reservoirs.

Rats are part of any large cities' ecosystem. I once watched a rat in New York drag a piece of pizza down the underground or the subway. They are there and will always be there. What's the big deal?

Who once said, "I don't care how people vote but who counts the votes". CIA?

We are only a few days in 2020. No doubt, a secret hoard of some millions will flock in to save the day. High spending Martians.

Whew. It's almost a joke reading these posts.

It is apparent that Theresa May had given him some tips on her moves on the tarmac.

While waiting for my daughter to file a missing luggage item, I had the time to scan arrivals at the big Suvana Airport. Three hours in fact and I saw the Indian tourists arriving. Good luck.

I have in my nostrils the pervasive smell of bovine excrement. I don't believe in any of this. It's bullcrap. Certainly some are treated without paying but over the long stretch, for those who don't pay, others over pay. It adds up and the hospitals are never out of pocket.

Paraquat, Glyphosate and the other horrible chemical has no place on our globe. USDA is full of bovine excrement it promotes. Nobody wants Glyphosate and it should be banned everywhere. Why should Thailand not continue with their proposed ban? On the basis of USDA???

Mike Carney! We used to call him Mike Carnage after the mess he left behind in Canada. This <deleted> is a Goldman Sachs Canuck and now he is going to the UN to start their carbon tax programmes. A right <deleted>.
