This is normal. Remember to renew your licence next time after it expires (after your birthday). You will get the extra time again. I just did that 2 weeks ago. Renewed 1 day after my birthday and got 5 yrs 364 days.
Cool & thanks and a belated happy birthday. Although i am concerned as i have heard if you miss the renewal date you go back to 2 yrs.

Typical response. P.R spin. Tourism is down, declining, with foreigners going elsewhere to spend there money they've probably worked very hard for at cleaner, less polluted or violent destinations with far less racism, victimisation, lawlessness plus the obvious scams, corruption and extortion, whereby they feel more welcome, safer and respected as visitors with far better customer service and language communication, namely the universal language of travellers being English which most Thai have very little or no command of in mostly all Thai tourist hot spots. And to think foreigners have been visiting Thailand for decades in there millions and yet Thai still are unable to speak basic English.
Just as well there are so many Cambodians working here in the Hotels,Resorts and restaurants then init.

Giving money away is not very stimulating to me unless its for a well done service.

Do they even know where he is? Someone said he's in Germany. This farce with Wat Dhammakaya has been going on for years.
I would suspect he is around one of the Temples in Bulgaria where has performed rites before in 2011 and 2015. ????

We have a nice pool in our village (gated village, moo ban or whatever you would call it).
I regularly see 4 and 5 year old children swimming in the pool completely unsupervised...and I don’t mean Mum at the pool but head buried in iPhone. I mean parents at home while 4 and 5 year olds “swimming” in the pool. None of them can even swim...they jump in and can just barely make it back to the side without drowning.
And these are 1. Middle class Thai families and 2. Kids of guys who work offshore and whose wives take care of the kids while they are away.
If it is that bad in that socioeconomic group then god help the lower socio ecomonmic group.
Totally unforgivaeable by the Leuk Kreung families in my view.
If i was in your position, i would dam well teach them.

O K since some have posted experience of flights, thought i'd add my most amusing quip by a Scottish pilot,on a flight from Perth AU to Bruni, just after landing on an open mike said "i couldn't half go a bacon sandwich now"???? i burst out laughing but no one else seemed to understand the irony.

Everything’s under control? How about your overpriced Baht? BoT promised to keep an eye on it. Well, someone fell asleep at the wheel. Now tourism, exports, the SET and expats all at high risk.

Hundreds of cooking gas bottles on the streets of Bangkok and towns pose a much greater threat to life when they explode.
They'll take out a number of people before hurtling through a brick wall.
Let off a few ping pong crackers during a state visit and the media go beserk.
Gas bottles do not just explode unless subject to EXTREME HEAT. Having done an LPG bottle course at the UK's fireman's training centre, the first thing the instructor did was to light a cigarette lighter, and told us this is a lpg bottle on fire it does not explode. We then were taken outside, he lit a bottle you simply walk up behind the flame and turn it off.

to firstly train them at schools and secondly subsidize good quality helmets for them to wear.
As i have said before on this forum in the village where i live, helmets were handed out free, albeit probably not good quality, but even so,hardly anyone bothers to wear them while the cop with a helmet cam, directs the kids 4 up on a bike no helmets across the intersection..............

No many are quite rightly against Illegal immigration and lying asylum seekers as well as mass Islamic immigration, seems like common sense when you look at the areas with most of these in Europe.
And yet many use Agents to get a visa, illegally, with no money in the bank. Hypocrites in my view.
