WISE transfers taking a minimum of 2 days now?!
For about 6 months or more I have had issues when sending more than about euro 1000, it says it needs extra time. I cancelled them, and got my money back into wise within about 30 minutes. Now I send less than 1000 at a time, and they are instant. There does seem to be a cut off amount that makes them take longer Cancelling can be stresfull, as it gives no indication on how long it will take to get the money back into wise, it just floats around in the ether for a while. If you dont cancel them really quick , I suspect it may take a few days

Thailand's Tourism Faces 'Zero-Dollar' Tour Crisis

Thailand's Tourism Faces 'Zero-Dollar' Tour Crisis
Most tourists are not Chinese Businessmen. Those that buy expensive condo are businessmen, who will typically have a business registered to Hong Kong, so they can fairly freely take their money overseas. It is not in any way relevant to the zero dollar tourism market. Whether you call it nonsense or not, this is the fact of what happens.

Thailand's Tourism Faces 'Zero-Dollar' Tour Crisis
A lot of the money from these zero dollar tours does not enter Thailand and does not benefit Thailand in any way. A chinese person would pay a chinese tour company, all the money stays in China, then they are taken to chinese businesses in Thailand all the money goes back to china Thais taking foreigner to their 'Family' business is bringing money to the Thai economy, they are completely different situations

162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
But the government claim that over songkran the numbers are higher, so it doesnt add up. And it doesnt add up that it is lower over songkran because it is not lower, it meets the yearly average, that means the same not lower either way, it does not add up! Your maths aint mathing
-
162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
The horses mouth? who exactly would that be in this instance?
-
162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
Dead going to hospital doesnt count? I hear that may times, Can you substantiate it? I am not necessarily disputing it, but I have never seen it be more than hearsay Yes, you dont get my point, you are agreeing with me, despite the fact you appear to be arguing
-
162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
So you are agreeing with my original comment, that the numbers dont add up, I dont think you realise that you are agreeing though
-
162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
I have heard that many times, but never seen any proof of it, do you have any proof, or is it just hearsay? , but agree the numbers are likely to be higher than stated. If you base it on the WHO numbers, this week is lower than average, If you base it on the Thai numbers, this week is exactly average, despite the Government saying they are significantly higher, that dont add up either way
-
162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
That is my point, if we use the 20k number, then they really dont add up
-
162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
Thai government themselves say these are the most deadly days of the year. You seem to be claiming tthey are less, but the stats dont even support that, they put them exactly on average per thais own reported numbers As for the roads being too congested, not everywhere s Bangkok. Being too drnnk to drive? that is the main cause of the accidents, they drive even though they are too drunk to do so Even if you do believe that, the numbers dont add up either way
-
162 people killed, 1,279 injured in road accidents in past four days
None of these numbers seem to add up, According to the WHO, there are about 20,000 road fatalities a year in thailand, which works out to about 55 per day. 162 over 4 days is 40 per day, and yet it is pretty certain that the numbers are higher than normal over the Songkran week. Even if we take Thailands official numbers for 2022. this works out to 40 per day, which is exactly on par wth the daily average based on Thailand own numbers, yet even the Thai government say it is higher during this week. It doesnt add up, Someone is doing something dodgy with the numbers

Travel insurance, oranges and apples. You have further proven you are not worth wasting my time
-
Welsh Father Faces Life-changing Reality After Thailand Holiday Accident
Wow, you think it is acceptable to unfairly reject 28% of claims? Not all insurance is the same. Different policy types have different rates of rejection. I quoted numbers specific to a country and type of insurance, and referenced my source You have made a blanket claim, without any reference If you think 28% unfair rejection is reasonable, then you aint worth my time
-
Welsh Father Faces Life-changing Reality After Thailand Holiday Accident
So you dont think 28% is a significant number? That is just motor insurance policies. Other types of insurance , the number is over 60% There are lots of studies that show a large number of people are not even aware that the ombudsman exists. You can extrapolate from that. If you want to find out more, google is your friend

Welsh Father Faces Life-changing Reality After Thailand Holiday Accident
I think you replied to the wrong person
-
Welsh Father Faces Life-changing Reality After Thailand Holiday Accident
The statistics say otherwise. In 2021 the Insurance Ombudsman in the UK upheld the claims of 28% of the people wo made a claim that there insurance claims for motor insurance had unfairly been rejected. A large number of rejected claims are not even taken to the Ombudsman, so in reality the number of unfairly rejected claims is much higher
