It's about time that travel sites about Thailand add warnings concerning the rental of mopeds, scooters etc in Thailand as they do about the gem scams and renting jetski's. If you want to hire a scooter you must be in possession of a Thai driving licence or international driving permit, A british licence is not valid, therefore your breaking the law and no insurance company will pay if you have an accident.
