The posts you are commenting on were in response to @Dmaxdan's assertion that there's is no testing in Thailand, see below.

Thailand tests those who are suspected of being infected and will test anyone who requests to be tested. Claiming that they are "...deliberately not been testing anyone domestically..." is fallacious.

Brother of my gf went to hospital 2 days ago with sign of corvid they refuse to test him so they not testing people.

I already pointed out how it can become, shall we say misused. Most of what a chip could enable is already not just possible but being actively done already. Credit cards, CCTV, smart speakers, PCs and of course mobile phones track your every move and gather mountains of other information. The only difference is they can be avoided but it would still be hard. A chip is not that much of a change and if used for the benefit of the majority with safeguards where needed, it could be of great benefit, such as reducing the transmission of covid. In the UK I would have little concern about the misuse of it by the government but security of the system would be a problem. Anywhere that the government cannot easily be changed by a regular free and fair vote would be much more worrying. In that case chips could be imposed anyway.

Mobile phone and chip on cards can you put away when not needed but chip on a person can not have you think about that?

  3. Thailand have no corvid 19 says the goverment so why all this problems at the stores? There is many other things that people can have fever eks infection after cut in finger, malaria, dengue etc they are not contagious but can not enter shops.

This is high level of stupidity and will end with no tourist even when open border for all. Using mask only work well if you not touching it and cover nose and mouth mens 99.9% of all mask use in Thailand are unnecessary and help for nothing.

I am both a UK and US citizen and agree you can't do many things that you might want to do that are unlawful in those countries. However, with that said I can post a negative review in both countries and not worry about going to prison or being fined for it. The fact remains, in Thailand, you can't leave a bad review without worrying about the consequences because of the Thai law. I live in Thailand and I am smart enough to know I must follow the Thai law, but to go to prison or be fined for making a bad review, which is the entire point here, that just says the Thai law is (deleted), enough said then. We have to live with it while we are here, but I can make my opinion known as long as I am respectful.  In regards to a guy you know getting expelled from Norway for swearing in public and getting expelled, that seems a bit harsh don't you think. There is a Norwegian law about no swearing in public by foreigners or you may be expelled? OMG

It was a norwegian that get expelled from the us.

Whether the customer was right or wrong, its a worry for everyone living in Thailand that you gonna end up in the slammer for freedom of speech.

Now it seems that anybody who leaves a bad review or says something the other party doesn't like its straight to Jail do not pass go.

Hotel should of just contacted the review sites and had tried to have them taken down.

Freedom of speech also come with responsebility.

You may not know much about America or other Democratic countries then in regards to posting a review about a business.

As far as i know is norway where i come from is a democratic country but that doesnt mean you can do what you want in other country. When i go to Thailand i fellow thai law and expect that forigners that visit norway folow norwegian law. I know a guy that get expelled from us for swearing in a bank  but i dont tell people to avoid us for that.

You must not see the point I was making. Is it true that there is a Thai law that states you can be imprisoned or fined in Thailand if you give a bad review against a Thai person or business, regardless of whether it was deserved to that Thai person or business?

The point was not whether the American was wrong or not.

The point is nobody get jaild for bad review in Thailand nobody ever have.

This guy let it go to far.if you did the same in america or Australia or europe you can go to jail to for go to far and atack a business like that end of story.

I don't go searching or trolling, just reading the comments here and giving my opinion. I never said he was right or wrong and not defending this American or anyone. I know many hateful mean people from many different countries, including Thailand.

I was originally asking what is the point of making a review if I didn't like the service? So if I was treated badly at a Thai hotel, I can't tell anyone of the bad service without worrying  about going to prison or being fined?

Nobody get jailed for a bad review but this guy had it comming he broken the rules of tripadvisor and get deleted and send bad reviews under fake names over several weeks that is not something NORMAL people do.

How do you know it is Mr. Barnes if he is using fake names?

I would enjoy reading what this Mr. Barnes has written since you claim he has, please give us the links.

I am curious to do also where he is from and if he is a Trump supporter, that would explain a lot about this person.

Many people in the world can be mean just for the sake of being mean and that is wrong.

Did you not look the News and only coments to protect a bad amercan they allways think they own the world and can do what they want. They have a good cover of the case at www.thetiger.com

I find it hard to believe that so many people in one day arrived without any money. As we all know the ATM machines are located AFTER immigration, and we have all heard of countless occasions when people with plenty of money have been denied before they got that far. As for being denied for no insurance, I wasn't aware that had become mandatory yet.

there is atm before imigration and there is a exchenge boot there to.
