Agree with comments about own countries. Where I come from in South Australia you be lucky to get away for a few weeks riding a motorbike without correct license.

I got a Aust open license including motorcycle was easy to get both Thai licenses once had yellow book.

Tourists should get international license before leaving home.

If no motorbike license in there own country don't ride here.

Clothes pegs and cardboard worked on my push bike when a lad. Cardboard could be substituted with plastic that way when they fall off they blend in with the other roadside rubbish.????????????

You got the ticket and room suggest a back up plan or 2 just incase.

I have full medical every year, I was taking these caps as shown 2 each night. Doctor told me levels too high now I take 1 every second day. At 70 have good sexual health like a 30year old.

Exercise and healthy eating helps also.

I walk min 7 kms every morning early.

Caps cost 900 baht in Chiang Mai for 60 that 3 to 4 months for me now.

Everyone different but been good for me.????????????

Definitely many tourist stupid takeout no travel insurance at all. 2 weeks on Aust websites about $300 for couples cover.

Go to Bali or Thailand get a motorcycle with no experience or license for motorbike in own country.

If you a Aussie visit Tasmania safe. Too many Aussie travel to dangerous places and never travel there own country. I travelled Australia extensively before going overseas. 

When I lived in Adelaide I met many people always holidayed in Bali but never ever visited another state except airport transfer.

Look on line cheap though AIG. 

We visit Vietnam for a break each year. Cheap and short flight, no problems ever in Hanoi, Danang or Hoi An. Use grab just like in Chiang Mai. I lucky my wife not drink so I have my own Grab most of the time.

No complaints with Thailand or holidaying in Vietnam. I guess I  lucky to have a great Thai wife for 8 years now.

In past I got my wives residency Visa application through Australian Embassey Bangkok.

My wife was not in Australia. Was granted 10 months after application. Having a residence and Australian income makes it easier.

Yes if you want citizenship need 4years time in Aust minimum to apply.

Easy to get Thai license if you have proof address, eg yellow book. Renew your Aussie license when return or online if possible. Keep both. You should have IDL if no thai license.

My wife has my name no problems, has Thai ID card, Blue book,  passport and property in her married name.

We married in Australia not here.

Found easy to buy insurance, information pack arrived quickly in mail same time as policy.

They give a windscreen sticker glovebox folder with all details needed for accident and breakdown in simple language.

Lazada best, note model number Google tell you everything about item before paying.

Why gps sort old hat idea, just use Google maps, Thailand has good data coverage Chiang Mai to Mekong.
