How old were they? It is a requirement for minors that both parents sign - but only one has to do in person. The other must sign a consent form from my understanding. As said I have not done this but this seems to confirm my understanding.

Thai passports are very easy to obtain and take barely a couple days to arrive after applying.
I never had to sign for my daughter or son to get they're passports done, your wife must have a thai passport so she should allready know the process, the cost is only about 1000 baht.

Sounds like a scam from the hospital, Myself my wife and 3 kids all got sick with covid when we returned from a trip and were in a pretty bad way for around 5 days, my wife went through all the correct channels and we were given medicine, tests some other equipment such as heart rate monitors and temperature tests and of course being Thailand a lot of paperwork, not 1 baht was asked even from me the Farang. For reference this was in Udon Thani.

"He has made numerous past threats about burning down the village and threatened neighbors many times while intoxicated and high on drugs. We have previously reported this to law enforcement, but no action was taken as Supat had only made what police thought were idle threats while drunk. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case today.”
No action taken? They couldn't at least talk to the man, check him out, give him a warning?
Never gunna happen here the BIB are not fond of work here, not long back a random drunk broke into the village heads house about 3am where I live, they called the police and were told the guy has done nothing wrong and they cannot do anything.
I could mention many other incidents and just the general view from the locals themselves is that the police are useless here and will only appear when they have something to gain.

Bitkub is definitely a massive pain in the *** but after I think 5 attempts they eventually called me to ask some questions then my verification came through so maybe some more persistence can work for you.

Older ones will work but prefer casual work to set hours. Younger ones think they are too good to work and have a weird mindset that they should get money for it.
My other half is 43 and says she doesn't get them or understand them.
Even offering 400 baht a day for cleaning and washing and ironing, nothing strenuous, to those in the village doing absolutely sweet FA draws nobody and when they do work, my other half says she has to go back and do it again anyway so better not to ask them.
Asking Thais to work in the canning industry? Good luck with that one!
The only reason they allowed Burmese and Cambodians in was because Thais won't do it.
This is spot on, my wifes father is a construction manager for a big company and anyone in the village can jump in his truck and go to work for 450-550 a day but its only the old men and women while they end up paying to support they're deadbeat kids drink or gambling habits.

What terrible hardened criminals, how dare they celebrate a party and enjoy themselves.
Big payday for the boys in brown, hope they spray whatever baht they take with sanitizer from all the dirty foreign criminals......

Totally agree with all that. One of my bugbears about this whole disaster is how easily many have just accepted it, it really is a new normal, and talking about vaccines as if they are fashion accessories..Like yourself for me it's pretty much over, it's more the youngsters I feel sorry for the most.
I detest the world today, think I will just end up existing in a Thai village somewhere, the modern world can go whistle..
I also agree and hiding away in a village is what I have been doing since this mess began but I'm not gunna lie it's getting bit tireing now especially having the kids at home full time due to school closures but it stills feels like the better option during these ridiculous times.

I'm based in Udon thani and the passport office here is at Central Festival shopping mall but used to be at the city amphur, most city's around Thailand will have a similar set up, I know its possible to find the local passport office and even book an appointment online but my wife sorted all that out but I'll attempt to get a link later but it won't be much good to you if like me your Thai reading skills are not the best.
