Letting the virus run its course is not an option--so all you "let's just go back to normal" people are morons--because when all the hospital beds are full with COVID-19 sufferers and you (moron) have one of your "hold my beer" moments and are rushed to the ER, they will not be able to treat you. Get it? Moron?

Returning Thais sent to air force quarantine, scream "This is xenophobia!" then write long screeds on thaivisa forum about the mistreatment of Westerners... Oops! It was Thais!

The Bangkok elite did not want their city full of dirty, poor sick people who could have threatened their lives and the lives of their children, so rather than order an immediate lockdown which would have contained the virus in Bangkok, they gave the dirty, sick poor 48 hour warning to get the hell out of Bangkok and bring their disease home to the rural areas to infect their poor grand-parents and parents. Meanwhile, the wealthy of Bangkok retreated to Hua Hin to party in their condos. This is definitely a culling but, in typical Thai fashion, along clear class lines.

Actually quite a good store. I went there quite a bit when I was living in Japan. Sad that its long-awaited opening in Thailand has to occur under these circumstances.

It's a Night Wish bar, if your wish that night is to die of viral pneumonia. Another savvy investment by Thailand Rob and Co. Great business model: first get your business visa by becoming a pimp at a girlie bar. Then let the girls get a disease that kills people. So now you're a 1. a pimp and 2. an accessory to involuntary manslaughter. Two crimes for the price of one. Grandpa Monger would be so proud, Rob.
P.S.--Try to work on more believable weeping. This just looks like you're squeezing out a big turd

I was wondering if 90 day reporting in Songkhla (Hat Yai Immigration) was still required in person rather than online. Considering life under a state of emergency--and the need for "social distance"--one would think that Songkhla Immigration would begin to encourage online 90 day reporting. (Or is online 90-day reporting already available for Songkhla expats? For many years it seemed it was not.) Thanks in advance for replies.

I listened with an open mind. Heard nothing new or even particularly original. Just more boring conspiracy nonsense from the guy who believes in lizard people.

No problem at Bangkok Bank ATMs in Songkhla in south Thailand.

How lucky you are to be British.
A reporter who asked "What do you say to Americans who are scared?" got this response:

More Songkhla news:
The Songkhla governor's office now reports 13 cases of COVID-19 in Songkhla Province. Government employees are forbidden and citizens are discouraged from traveling abroad to countries with high infection rates of COVID-19. Within Songkhla Province, sport venues will be closed for 14 days (from 20 March - 2 April 2020) as well as fitness centers, theaters & cinemas, health & beauty establishments, massage shops, game & internet shops. Government agencies must abstain from or postpone any organized events or seminars consisting of 50 or more people. Companies in the private sector are encouraged to do the same. Workplaces are encouraged to offer separate meal times so that employees can have "social distance" of at least one meter between them. Government employees and students are encouraged to do as much "work from home" and online as possible. -

Funny how no one is ever fired for not performing the duties of their office. The only punishment is being transferred to a post where the profits of corruption are less lucrative.

Yeah, let's just stay here in Thailand and exchange the virus among ourselves. We don't need outside help anymore.

And rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titantic did not prevent the great ship from sinking.

This happens to Thais everyday. So those of you complaining about not receiving "equal treatment" here should find solace in this article.

What a brave stand.

Someone whose rocket just exploded and whose TSLA stock has plummeted is calling something dumb. Why is a man whose public reactions to world events are so transparently self-serving considered such a genius? Musk is easier to read than a children's book.
