Any knowledgeable folks out there, who could advise on this?
From reading some other threads, I understand the first three digits of a Bangkok bank account number are the bank's branch code.
Bangkok Bangkok now have a four digit system i.e. branch code is 0926, which confused me. I think probably you drop the first 0 from the account number. So 0926 should be 926 for the account number..? In which case, I've messed up the transfer, and am wondering what will happen.
If all the other details are correct (name of receiver, branch code, branch address and SWIFT code), will a human, eventually, pick up the error and be able to reconcile it?
Say if the error was like this. Incorrect vs. correct:
092 6 31880 2 8
926 0 31802 8
Anyone know anything about validation checks, at this end? Or is it completely automated, and could arrive at someone else's account? :0
