  2. To the op, i think you are a full of shit troll :D that is the biggest load of tripe i have read in a long time

Aye Daley and perhaps a good beating is in order!!! :o

I wonder what his tattoo/brain cell ratio is? :D

ive got some thai buddhist tats on my chest, and the thai word for strength tattoo on my left leg. im waiting to get the next one.

a bunch of tough guys on the internet, huh. love to see ya in real life.

  3. big difference between hitting another farang and getting into it with a thai. i hope you knew that by now. maybe you outta get out of thailand if you cant figure out why.

i am not worried about legal problems. i will just say he pulled a knife on me, it aint like he has any witness.

i dont mind him talking to her, however when i say "alright, now piss off" and he says "no", he is asking to be laid out. i probably shouldnt have gotten ontop of him, but i am like a bull when i get into it. i guess i could kick him a few thousand baht if he had to go to the hospital, but i am afraid to contact him if he is mafia like she said.

  4. right now i am scare he is farang mafi. i am not afraid anyone in one on one fight, but i hate guys will pull a weapon or use their mates. i do know muay thai though so dont worry about me boys :o

what do you think? how should i check him out? probably another old farang, but you dont know about some of these old farang. they can be mafia.

  5. got into a tumble with a yank around sukhumwit in the early hours. we were both drunk. i was with my close girl partner and i went into 7/11. i come out he is talking to her. the guy mustve been 50 years old. i tell him bugger off. he tells me give him one second he knows her. i shove him and tell him bugger off. he doesnt, so i clock him one. he hit the ground. i got on top and i think i probably busted his nose. we got into a taxi. i dont know if he find out who i am from all this through her.

    thanks.

  6. australia_1980 is just another lost person that still belives in the land of smiles

and probably sends money back to his tilak for the sick buffalo

if he was out on the piss and a tuk tuk demanded more he would probably give it away saying ahhhhh the lovely thai nature !!!!

you go back people like you make it worse for normal people like us

sorry mate, i guess you guys are in such a foul mood cause you got fleeced by a bar girl and now have to get into fist fights with tuk tuk drivers over 20 baht. so sad....

happy i get to live my own life, and not yours! :o

  7. Drunken yob rips off driver, then assaults him. Driver fights back and gets charged. :o

<deleted> if he was drunken yob, why give him 120 bhat and not just give him a slap for his cheek. It's about time they got with the times if they were a bit nicer and more helpful they may get bigger tips. I don't be;lieve in violence for one miute but it seems to be the Thai way that they are either mob handed or tooled up.

go back to where you came from if the thais are so horrible.

  8. not giving in to being ripped off is one thing. allowing it to escalate into a physical fight it another thing.

LOL at the poster who said "he then came out with a large piece of wood. I figured he was just trying to intimidate me, so i continued to refuse to pay him an extra 50 baht. when he finally started swinging it at me, i gave in and handed him the 50 baht".

Most have been about "the principle". you idiots give me a laugh.

  9. these guys are the poorest of the poor. there education is maybe that of an 8 year old. If you manage to get into a fight with one of them over 200 baht, then you have no business being in Thailand.

BS whichever way you look .........

no way are they the poorest of the poor ,

as for education level , we're talking phuket , guys most probally multi lingual .......

200 bhat is MORE than the average daily wage , no small amount .......

so your saying we should just pay whatever ??

I am not saying pay whatever, but if it is between getting into a fist fight, and getting skimmed for 100 baht, anyone who is not an idiot would perfer to lose the 100 baht. This is common sense, but only in Thailand is debatable.

    "no small amount"

LOL. Did you just say 200baht is not a small amount?

Oh wait, he is a tuk tuk in Phuket and can speak some english? I take it back, he must have alot more education than an 8 year old. What english school do you think he studied at?

  10. I cant understand the racism on this thread. I'm sure there is violence in every society, british hooliganism just fits another misinformed stereotype. Some of the comments here demonstrate a high level of ignorance and bigotry.

The reality is the welsh guy could have been killed. There's no excuse for pulling a knife unless your life depends upon it.. Why, I ask, did the tuk-tuk driver have one in the first place, if not with an intention of using it? If the tuk-tuk driver had been assaultled he knew where the westerner was staying, why didn't he report it to the police, and follow the process of law? There's just no excuse for it. There's a dangerous message being sent to thais here.. its okay for you to knife a westerner, you'll get away with it.

I've had problems with taxi drivers and tuk-tuks before and it always occurs because they try to rip me off. Ko Samui has similar problems with mafia monopolies, and I swear never to return to that place. Sounds like Phuket has similar issues. Thailand really needs to clean up its act.

I think Thailand shoud require all Tuk Tuk drivers have a clean record, are kind hearted, do not rip off farang, and have attended college level courses on the practive of tuk tuking. :o

these guys are the poorest of the poor. there education is maybe that of an 8 year old. If you manage to get into a fight with one of them over 200 baht, then you have no business being in Thailand.

Drunk idiot was lucky he didnt get him in the throat.

  11. :o:D:D can you guys please provide some links and real names to go with these stories? :D

almost every thaivisa post reads :D like barstool gossip. how many of you guys are :D actually posting from inside a bar with a wifi connection? i cant say i blame the lot of you, but you outta get outside and exercise instead of posting all this rubbish. :D

    :D:D

  12. always alot of TALK on here about violence, who is going to get killed, who they know who got killed, etc etc.

notstickman was supposed to be getting killed/arrested/deported, but that never panned out, did it?

  13. Hi all

My partner visited thailand a few months ago and since then we have talked about moveing to thailand and setting up home there for us and the kids!!

i think it is a great idea but got lots of things to think about besides saving!! education, housing will i love it there so many miles from my native Liverpool!!!

just would love to hear from families who have started up home in thailand and any advice about family life as are kids are quite young all under 3yrs and will it be a great start for us and the kids better way of life ect...

any advice would be great and i look forward in your advice

    thanks

you should be honest with yourself if your kids are really better off here.

what job do you plan on doing?

it seems like you shouldve come here 3 years ago, not now that you have multiple kids under 3yo's.
