  1. Idk I always do it online. No papers needed. Done in person twice. Both times needed only tm47/tm30, but I was coming from abroad so there was no way for me to have had an old 90day report at that time.

You only need to do in person the first time and whenever you have a new passport. But yeah if you coming from abroad then there was no old 90 day report slip cuz it resets automatically to day1 whenever you enter the country, making old slips non existing for these dates.

Agree with social distancing issue. But, police get involved? Xenophobia towards the migrants? Ridiculous way to approach this hunger problem.

Some of them look thai to me lol. Check the photo. Tbh thai people are even xenophobic agaisnt their own people so don’t expect much. I know thai people who tell me they’d not date thai people from outside bkk for instance.

I bet u there’s more thai on that photo than Cambodia’s laos and Myanmar together.

oh right on my condo there’s a lot of thai people doing picnics with their friends downstairs every day. So much for social distancing ????

I agree with everything you said mate. Foreigners have been taken advantage of way too much down there.

    the glory days are over.

back to fishing and good old fashioned hard work now boys & girls. No more free meals.

You had yer chance and you blew it!

Can agree and been in Thailand only 3 years. The grab taxi prices in pattaya increased by 300%+ and less buses accepting customers compared to 2017. Rip Uber.

As for a honest Normal taxi in pattaya? In 3 years and half I never met one. That doesn’t exist nowadays. They all say no meter.

best part is.. I always ask taxis price if they say no meter. They ask me 1000 baht for 15 min lmao. So I take grab for 500 for 15 min (overpriced af but ye), and they bitch at grab driver when he arrives.

I am actually surprised that a Thai policeman would go this far.

Never been stopped and never been searched even though I have been seen by thousands of  times.

But regardless, I see no reason to resist. If they want to search you then let them do it.

Do this in the USA or UK and you get arrested brutally in a matter of moments.

Oh they do it all the time arround Ekkamai and phrongpong. They’re quite polite though. They always check id (I show my country ID card), wallet, and pockets. From experience never had anything stole nor issues. It’s rather quick. Suspect theyre looking for drugs usually.

That does not mention what type of visa entry or extension he had.

From past reports I have seen about it if you are on an extension of stay you have to fly out and back to cancel the extension and get the visa sticker on entry at Suvarnabhumi airport.

If on tourist visa or a visa exempt or a non immigrant visa entry it can be done at immigration in Bangkok.

Can also be done at dmk. I had a b visa before. Flew before a day before it expired, came back and got my elite visa done at dmk airport 2 days later. You just need to book in advance and place.

but in my case I did not want to waste my time so I went to Kuala Lumpur for valentine day and got visa done at same time. Two in one.

I don’t want to sound mean, but I think you may have fallen into a scam. Thai men in their work rarely speak any English at all for a start. It all seems too exaggerated to me. Sorry.

Yap. Either way my advice to him is come here first and decide later. And yeah possible to live here on 24k a month but it’s a tight budget and there’s no long term visa that doesn’t require at least 400k baht on bank on his case. That said once again visit Thailand before you even decide to move here. Things may be different from what you think.

another mess - how can someone conceal something they don't know they have

This is exactly why mass testing is so important

Yeah. I have 38 fever today and arm sore around the injection part after I took a vaccine yesterday but... its really unlikely to be covid, no other symptoms. Just an example. Suspect in 2-3 days will be back to normal.

But if I were to be I would have no way to know since I have no coughting and they say covid takes 1-2 weeks to start and I haven’t gone out for a month except yesterday and always with a pm2.5 mask and social distancing whole time I was out to do the vaccine.

Who's gonna hang out with you though, surely not Thai people?

If they did not like farangs lately, watch and see what will happen in regards to xenophobia in Thailand, encouraged by mother China's rhetoric, in reference to covid-19.

Suits uncle P well also, more anti westerner ammunition. As if Ai Anutin's  remarks were not enough.

Uh some of us got thai friends ????. Some of them lived abroad before and travel a lot so they’re not too xenophobic compared to the average person.

Snap. Submitted my 90-day report last Tuesday (31 March) and still pending one week later. I'm wondering if the Immigration staff that normally deal with on-line 90 day reporting have been transferred to the new Immigration center.

Guess If still not ready by next Tuesday will have to go to the elite office. Annoying ????. Still waiting

  10. Security guard manager at a club I frequented often had and died from it. I even met him 3 weeks before and spoke a bit with him by coincidence

Somehow I got really sick two weeks after when I met him, before he got sick. I recovered after a week due to antibiotics and  rest but I’ve been home whole time since then just to be safe (over a month now). My gf also had a few symptoms for a few days a week after I got sick but only 2-3 days.

Also four weeks ago a banker at my girlfriend office build also had it.

this was at end of February, I went hospital and they didn’t want to test me and treated it like a flu + bacterial infection.

  11. Finished reading. They definitely need to improve it. Between us I don’t think the quarentine should be free as would put a burden on government , but shouldn’t be that <deleted>ty either, maybe make people pay 500 baht per night for the accommodation + 2 daily meals or something. And warn in advance so returning people know about it.

  12. Uh many good things about this country. Many bad also. Honesty and racism for instance is one of things I dislike Thai people. And also how they rank people by perceived wealth and often lie me to try to scam me. also dislike how they always fear losing face to their neighbors but then do disgusting acts agaisnt forgeiners because they think it’s not losing face despite fact they’re losing face.

But gotta say I enjoy some of their convenience such as how they build condos malls and bts (could be improved if mrt bts and buses were all same card), and also how most of the rural areas  people are honest and friendly.

if anything it’s the larger city and tourist area people I’ve grown a dislike for due to their behavior.

but I have to say... some forgeiner countries act same way with Thai people and even against people from my country (Portugal). What I feel is that thai people copy these bad forgeiners behaviors because they dislike them.

Well I definitely notice it. People often act superior arround me when they find my nationality. These same people then act jealous if I let them find how rich i am. Usually I don’t care but sometimes it’s annoying.
