  1. my dear, Jose, you must be fat like a planet :-) ...but to be honest.... I have added about more than five kilos over the last five years I live on KPN. if it

goes on like this Jose and me we will form a new culinaric galaxy within some years here on the island. I always thought about opening a restaurant. just

    to speed things up...

I would like to mention the restaurant of COOKIES BUNGALOWS at Aow Nai Wok, which is on the west coast close to Thong Sala. Here you will get served

delicious and fresh Thai and western cuisine such as international breakfasts for a bargain price in extremely cosy athmosphere with panoramic sea views

towards Angthon National Marine Park. Very recommendable for any time of the day. I love the hamburger sets with french fries for just 120THB.

...and here comes a secret link to a very good and extremely reasonable priced Thai restaurant in Thong Sala which is not just good but also very good

hidden. My wife and me we call it the NOODLE SHOP and you can find it opposite "Sexy Scissors" on the corner behind the big building in a small dirt road.

The location is very sweet with a roofed teracce where the decks plantation looks like it will fall into your soup by every minute but keeps efficiently the sun

away for the sake of an enjoyable time with no sunburns.

The rastaurant is famous for its Thai soups: gootiau nam moo toon (slowly cooked pork), gootiau nam tok (with blood) and tom yum. But they also have

various other Thai dishes such as phad khapau moo/gai, phad prik moo/gai etc. - very delicious. Here we eat with four persons for under 150THB in total.

    Greetings

    LG

    (just a small side business)

  2. Legalize it, yeah, leeeegalize it yee-he-yeahr....

AND I WILL ADVERTISE IT! :o

Why not, if legalization of soft drugs and regulation of prostitution

will follow Thailand would be making a big step in displaying themself as

a modern society AND benefiting from remarkable tax revenues.

Clever! Whoever it was.... go on: brake down more senseless

rules/laws and force education to self-responsibility and fair trade.

    LG

  3. don't come to Thailand at all.

your money is about five times more worth in Vietnam and there you'll get it all as it was ten years ago over here.

Vietnam might be also ruled by retired kids in iniforms but there the law is straight for decades.

if I wouldn't be caught into my business here I would have moved already.

    no worries - I will :-)

  4. just a warning to anyone buying or wanting to buy land in koh phangan. i have just been ripped off for quite a large amount of money off a lady posing as a land owner, her name is YING she lives in the area between sri thanu and wok tum, yes i know im a fool but just wanted to warn everyone to steer clear, im going through a process to try and get some money back. she is a short fat woman about 4ft 11 and wears glasses, speaks a little english and usually drives a mitsibushi, also has a small daughter with her all the time

So, what do we learn from this?

If you want to buy land in Thailand better trust a reputated agent. Maybe you pay some percent more than you would pay straight to the land owner but this saves you the hassle and prevents you from being ripped-off.

BTW, I know the lady. She is always friendly and very social. She once told me that she is dealing with land but as I am not in this business I gave a shit on this part of our conversation.

Good luck by solving your problem!
