When you work with a Non - O marriage visa, you are in control of your Visa. if your employment is terminated for whatever reason, your visa is safe.
I changed a B-Visa to Non 0 marriage in 2008, without leaving the country.

How do they know for sure he is a foreigner?

Why do you want to apply from outside Thailand?
Which immigration office is nearest to your school?

I know of a few retirees who get retirement visas with 200k in the bank.
They were grandfathered in.
So, if you received your retirement visa with 800k in the bank, it will remain 800k.

There has to be a "under consideration" stamp in your passport. The waiting period is usually 1 month. Expect the home visit. Also, neighbors will be interviewed. After your approval, expect another home visit.

40 minutes ago, Bim Smith said:"You can complete the 90-day reporting within 14 days before or up to seven days after".
Has anyone tried online reporting. I want to try it for the first time next month and always thought it was 7 days before due date and 7 days after. Can anyone confirm? Thank you
I have been doing it for years. Since 2017. Just go to https://www.immigration.go.th/

I've also never done a border crossing this calendar year. Don't think I should prepare myself to pay that "fee" right?
Why do you have to pay anything coming from Malaysia?

Pedang Besar land border made it clear that they don't allow same day visa runs. Although people have said the rail crossing immigration are more open.
I think it is possible at Sadao but I have never tried. But they definitely want a "fee"
Go through Pedang and come back through Sadao. Round trip is 165 km. I've crossed both multiple times by car and motorcycle over the past 18 years.

Why go there?
From Hat Yai, Pedang Bezaar is your best option.
-
Singapore is still the best option.

One would imagine the Men in Brown should maintain a lower profile to allow business to pick up. Seriously!!

For a start, they should try and get rid of ridiculous exercises in futility, like 90 day and TM 30 reporting. But alas, that is even asking for too much!

Tragic indeed. She was still responsible for killing someone.
The chances of justice to the young man'n family, is slim if she's conncted.

I thought there is a mutual agreement in place that people in border areas can work in both countries - Laos/Thailand - legally? That was the position 15 years ago in Sadao/Pedang Bazaar.

They could have knocked the kid over the wall through their actions.
I agree. When the man was subdued, the kid nearly went over the rail

Absolutely absurd. Typical Thailand. Can't leave "well enough alone."
There are definitely more serious issues to address.
-
......and then on the other hand Thailand is clamping down on people crossing the borders, overstaying, etc. All these people are spending money in the country.
-
I will join the festivities.

Why does democracy fail in Thailand?
It is part and parcel of living here. The first time I heard about the Thai coup history, was 13 years ago when I came to live here. I was horrified, because a coup means bloodshed. To my surprise it didn't happen in 2006, and now, there are no tanks visible. Does a coup actually promote democracy or is it just a hedge? The political mechanism has failed; the constitution is a disater etc.
Re-writing the constitutioin and having a coup every 7 years isn't the selution. So, where do we start? Education?
