So true!
QuoteThe U.S. poverty rate saw its largest one-year increase in history. 12.4% of Americans now live in poverty according to new 2022 data from the U.S. census, an increase from 7.4% in 2021. Child poverty also more than doubled last year to 12.4% from 5.2% the year before.

Trump warns of ‘bloodbath’ for auto industry and country if he loses the election

Even CNN seems to understand what Trump was talking about 🙂

"bloodbath"?
Trump predicts a civil war if he will not be elected? The devil is orange!
Really?
It's the context, stupids!

Hi all,
I'd like to take my Thai GF to Europe (EU) for a longer holiday and here's my question:
Is she allowed to drive a car there with her Thai drivers licence?
If yes, does she need something else (such as translation or an international driving licence)?
Sorry if I took the wrong sub forum.
Thanks for your replies and have a nice day.

Bad in the short run, but it was high time to stop the only cash-driven groth.
Necessary to fight inflation and at least good for millions of small savers who don't have the options that wealthy people have and who are those to see their savings melting away day by day.
Remeber times where interest rates were much higher than now and it did not endanger groth. Becaus it was not only driven by expending the money supply.

Get over yourself.
So if you name facts as above you're a vaccine and Covid denier?
Or could it be you're a reality denier?

What's so bad?
inpolite IOs? The burocracy? agree.
What else?
The once a year visit at the office where you have to manage the crowded place to get your extension? 90days report which can be done online (if it works)? The "horrible" 1900 THB?
Really?
As told before: 400/800k requirement has not changed as long as I can remember. Where are the comparable countries with lower requirements?
´What we all have to accept is that we're (longtime) guests in Thailand, not god's gift to the country.

No doubt, there are moronic IOs, different "requirements" in different provinces and many foreigners had bad experiences with the crazy burocracy.
But let's be realistic: Thailand still is one of the most easy countries to retire to, especially for people on the lower range of income.
The 800/400k bank thing has not changed since ages.
Back to the "good old days", when people, who did not qualify for a correct visa or a retirement extension made monthly border runs for years? Would one of us want to have those people living in our home countries?
I think, for each one who reports here about problems with IO, there's another one doing his yearly extensions without problems, but that usually will not be posted.
I stay here a long time now and never ever had any problem with visa and - later - extensions. Some IOs were more polite, others less.
My decision to leave Thailand when my son is old enough to study abroad comes not from bad IOs or the feeling "they don't want us", but from the political situation, the pollution, environmental problems and a climate, that fits less for me than in earlier years.
I'm still grateful to Thailand and it's people for the very good time I had and still have here.

immigration deals with WHOM ??? mostly non-thais as thai people do not need immigration or an extension...
Immigration in each country deals with whom? Right, they deal with foreign nationals.
Does the IO in your home country speak Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic or Kisuaheli to deal with the foreigenrs in front of him?

Doctor also wanted me to see another doctor for second opinion which would have incolved another long wait so I refused and he made me sign a disclaimer! Every hospital visit makes me feel unwell. Spending the whole day for a blood test and follow up makes it even worse. Referral to a second doctor doubles the fee and uncertainty and is part of the guessing game consisting of 'now try this and see if it works' that doctors pursue
If that annoys you, you should check out the situation in so-called first world countries. You would be shocked.
At least for Germany I know what I'm talking about and I doubt, the situation in GB and some EU countries is very different.

Speeding inside the city is putting yourself at risk. And others too!
idiotic and irrisponsible bevahoir. At least he did not hurt others and was fast enough not to set up a go-fund-me later.
I say this as a passionate biker who is not on the slow side of driving when outside from city limits

Your listed pointshave to do with permanent residency, but not with restrictions for foreigners buying private property.
So you can buy whatever you like, but it might not qualify you for residency.

What could the Israelis do when Hamas terrorists hide behind civilians and in hospitals? Relax and let them plan the next massacre?
They do what others did and would do in the same situation.
Remember "Operation Vigilant Resolve" and "Operation Phantom Fury" in 2004, when the US bombed the city of Faludscha? They used Phosphor bombs, uranium ammunition and cluster bombs.
By the way: Where are the arab brothers? Egypt could easily open their border for civilians?
